Varak answered calmly, as if he had planned it for a long time.

“That is my assistant. Jahil.”

Astarion was slightly surprised, then he narrowed his eyes. “Jahil?” he repeated softly.

“She has already gone down to the human world,” Varak continued. “She changed into an ordinary human woman. Her face is gentle, her attitude is humble. The type who will easily gain Aurora’s sympathy. Most importantly, she will not raise any suspicion from Max.”

Astarion leaned against a stone pillar, his expression turning curious. “But what about her scent?” he asked. “Max is not an ordinary human. He can smell demons from close range. Wouldn’t Jahil’s disguise be useless?”

Varak let out a soft laugh, cold and echoing through the underground chamber. The green fire in his eyes pulsed brighter.

“Jahil has no demon scent,” he replied firmly. “She is cursed.”

Astarion straightened. “Cursed?”

“Since birth,” Varak said. “The curse stripped away her demon essence. There is no hellish smell, no trace

Aurora kept walking without looking back. Her steps were fast but unsteady, as if every breath was a struggle. Her tears finally broke free on the silent path, her shoulders shaking hard while the suitcase in her hand dragged behind her, its wheels scraping roughly against the asphalt. The night air felt cold and cruel, pressing against her chest that was tight with the pain of betrayal. Behind her, Liora followed with small, hesitant steps, keeping her distance as if she did not want to disturb her, yet close enough to appear loyal. Her face was still pale, and her wet eyes continued to glisten under the streetlights. “Madam Aurora…” Liora called softly when they finally reached the main road. Her voice was gentle and careful, like touching an open wound. “Do not cry like this. This is not your fault.” Aurora stopped. She lowered her head, her breath uneven, tears falling without control. “I am sorry,” she said between sobs, her voice almost breaking. “I am truly sorry, Liora. I d

Aurora stared at them with trembling eyes, her breath caught in her throat. “What are you doing?” Her voice was soft, but there was a clear crack in every word. Before Max could even stand up, Liora reacted first. She jerked as if she had just realized her position, then half fell from Max’s lap with an awkward, exaggerated movement. Her hands trembled as she fixed her hair, her eyes filled with tears, her lips shaking as if holding back a sob. “I did not mean for this to happen, Madam,” she said softly, her body shifting slightly away yet still close enough to look fragile. “It was Mr. Max who pulled me. I tried to refuse. I was truly afraid.” She rubbed her own arms as if calming herself, then lowered her head with a small sob that sounded perfectly placed for anyone who wanted to believe. Her shoulders rose and fell, dramatic and convincing. Aurora shook her head slowly. That small movement felt like a verdict. Her gaze shifted to Max, filled with disappointment that cut deeper

Liora did not answer Max's question. She only gave a thin smile, her black eyes shining with unnatural confidence. With a slow and deliberate movement, she placed the tea tray on the corner of Max's desk. Then, without any hesitation, she stepped forward and sat right on Max's lap.Her body was light, but there was something wrong with the warmth coming from her skin. It was too cold, too controlled.Max stiffened immediately. "What do you mean by this?" he asked.Liora did not answer with words. Instead, she wrapped both arms around Max's neck. Her fingers gently touched the back of his neck, as if she had done this thousands of times before. Her face moved closer, and her breath brushed his cheek."My pussy has been so dry, Sir," she whispered. Her voice was low and pretended to be shy, but her eyes looked hungry. "It has been a long time since I was fucked. From the first day I saw you... I knew. You are too handsome. Too strong. I want to feel your body inside me."Her fingers cra

Liora did not answer Max’s question right away. She only lowered her head further, her shoulders starting to tremble softly. A few seconds later, a small sob escaped her lips, broken and uneven, as if she had been holding something in for far too long.Aurora reacted immediately. She knelt down on the grass and gently took Liora’s hands in hers. “Hey… why are you crying? Try to calm down first,” she whispered warmly, her voice full of motherly concern even though they had just met.“You can talk to us. Did something bad happen to you again? We are here. We will not leave you alone,” Aurora continued.Max stayed silent beside them, watching. He was already used to seeing Aurora like this. His wife truly had a heart that was too soft for this world. They had only just met, yet Aurora was already treating Liora like a younger sister who needed protection.Max was not surprised. That was one of the reasons he had fallen in love with Aurora. Her kindness was sincere, though it often made h

Max quickly lowered the woman as soon as her feet touched the sidewalk. His movement was a little faster than it should have been, almost rough compared to the gentleness he had shown earlier. He pulled his arm back when he realized how long she had rested her head against him, too close, too comfortable, with her cold breath still brushing the skin of his neck. The woman staggered slightly, then carefully sat down on the grass, holding her ankle again. Aurora did not notice the change in Max at all. Instead, she crouched in front of the woman, her face full of empathy. “What is your name?” Aurora asked softly, as if they had known each other for a long time. The woman looked up. “Liora,” she answered quietly. Aurora smiled sincerely. “That is a beautiful name. It suits you very well.” Liora returned a faint smile that was almost invisible, then lowered her head again, as if holding back the pain. Max cleared his throat softly, his focus returning to the swollen ankle. He opene
