Hello, I'm Leo.

I used to be an ordinary middle-aged American. I would come home tired from work, and before going to sleep, a new webcomic caught my eye on my favorite webcomic app, but after a few chapters, I realized that this webcomic wasn't action-themed as I had thought, but full of romantic crap, so I cursed and turned off my phone. But I can't sleep.

A few minutes later, I wrote a bad review for the webcomic series' artist, saying he had put the wrong tags on his webcomic. The series' tags said horror and action, but the content was entirely about the emotionless main character who encountered romance.

After cursing at the artist, I finally felt better, and my eyes closed from exhaustion.

When I opened my eyes again, I found myself in the body of a skinny kid with white hair. I could speak Korean like it was my native language, and I had rich parents.

At first, I was confused, but after a while, I realized that this world was the world of the webcomic I had read before falling asleep, and I was in the body of the minor villain who appeared in Chapter 3. Moreover, like the ordinary protagonists who had experienced soul migrations, I had my own special cheat.

When I remembered that even the main character of this world didn't have a supernatural cheat, I felt much more at ease.

As a senior in high school, I tried to live a pleasant life. Although my innate laziness combined with my lazy personality led me to live an antisocial life, everything in my life was progressing almost flawlessly.

Until one day, unstable alien technology in the form of a cube pierced the ceiling of my house and merged with me. At first, I was scared, but then I realized that the cheat I had now was even more powerful.

felt like I got an upgrade.

As I progressed toward becoming a richer and more extraordinary main character every day, constantly changing systems, I suddenly understood why this webcomic depicting this world had horror and action tags.

In this world, there are strange creatures and objects known as anomalies, and there is even a huge organization that deals with these anomalies. Worse still, this organization saw the rewards I received from my system as a sign of turning into an anomaly, so they came after me.

Fortunately, the number of anomaly cases in the world was rapidly increasing every day, and the organization had given me low priority because I was an intelligent anomaly that didn't kill people...

... Chapter 1: Reancarnation in a webcomic series

"May your great success explode."

"Hahaha, may your great success explode for you too."

"Thanks."

Many students ran toward the crowd of parents lined up at the garden gate of Daegu Dongsan High School, saying these words to each other one by one.

Amid the throng of excited or overly depressed students, there was only one young man who looked extremely calm.

He didn't appear as if he had just come out of the university entrance exam that would affect the rest of his life.

He looked more like a young man who had just finished an ordinary eight-hour class and was walking home out of boredom.

This young man didn't understand what the other students were saying to each other, and he frowned, quietly muttering to himself that they were speaking a new made-up word every day.

Meanwhile, the students running past him were looking at him strangely.

Not because of what the boy had said, but because of his appearance.

Pale, sickly white skin, sparse white hair, white irises.

An albino.

Many of the students were seeing a child born with this kind of congenital skin condition for the first time.

Of course, there were still many students whose attention was not distracted by him. After all, these students had just finished the most important exam of their lives, and they were loaded with extreme emotions, either from being very successful or very unsuccessful. And unless someone launched a nuclear missile at them, they probably wouldn't care about anything happening around them.

The strange looks coming from the students around him didn't seem to matter to the boy named Leo, just like everything else. And in fact, they didn't matter.

Because Leo had bigger problems to deal with.

For example, he was thinking about what he would do if, by accident, he ended up being the top scorer in the country on the exam, because he had just used all of the luck energy he had accumulated over the past month before randomly marking answers to all the questions he didn't know.

And that wasn't even his only problem.

Because he had won the lottery twice over the past year, he had been banned from purchasing lottery tickets, and now he needed another source of income.

In addition, his misfortune energy was almost completely full, or he had to start spending it soon.

Luck and misfortune energy?

The full name of this person, Leo Crane, actually indicated that he had undergone a spiritual migration.

Before finding himself in this new world in Korea, he was an ordinary man who read a webcomic before going to bed. Unfortunately, the webcomic he was reading was far slower and more romance-focused than the cool cover illustration and the action-packed summary had suggested.

When he saw that the webcomic he wanted to read and the one he was actually reading were very different, he was about to switch to a different webcomic, but something caught his attention, so he stayed with the story.

In the third chapter of the webcomic, the main character faced the first villain—a 19-year-old foreigner who had migrated to Korea with his family from the United States.

Not only did this character look like a hideous albino by design, and not only was he an ordinary street thug, but there was another notable feature: the character's first and last name was also Leo.

At first, he was upset, seeing that a character with the same name as him was the villain in a nationalism-focused scene, but he continued reading to see what would happen to the character who had the same name as him.

And he saw that this character, facing the main character trained to become a soldier king, took beatings for seven chapters straight.

When his mood worsened even more, he decided to close his phone and go to sleep, and when he opened his eyes again, he found himself in the body of an 18-year-old youth.

Initially, Leo was happy that he had entered the body of a side character from the webcomic, but then he became extremely upset.

Why had he read only ten chapters instead of finishing that cursed webcomic?

Remembering all this, Leo furrowed his brows as he passed through the crowd of students waiting to leave after their exam. This was the greatest regret he had experienced since coming to this world.

Other than that, everything was perfectly fine, because, like every migrant, he had a cheat.

And just as he stepped out of the crowd and was about to turn on his MP3 player, that cheat activated.

Suddenly, two test tubes appeared before Leo, floating in front of him and visible only to him.

One test tube, responsible for collecting luck energy, contained a small amount of golden liquid at the bottom, while the other, responsible for collecting misfortune energy, was filled almost to the brim with red-colored energy.

The reason these two test tubes had suddenly appeared before Leo's eyes was quite obvious.

Leo immediately looked at the crowd he had just passed through, but he couldn't see any golden or red threads above anyone's head. So he turned his head and continued scanning the surroundings until he realized that the thing he was looking for was floating above his own head.

If Leo had rated all the luck threads he had seen so far, from the thickest to the thinnest, on a scale of 1 to 10, the luck thread floating above him would now have scored an 8.

This meant that a lucky event was about to happen to him.

Although he was secretly happy, he acted as if nothing had happened, took off his headphones, put them in his pocket, and began walking home.

Leo pulled the dagger from his bag and held it out. Maren took it, turned it over in his hands, and examined the runes carefully before handing it back."Good choice.""I'm going to make a better one myself. Will you put the magical power into it later?""No problem. Have you thought about my question?""Still thinking.""Alright then."The princess looked at Maren, then at Leo, then back at Maren again."Your master is more famous than I realized," she whispered to Leo."I'm only just realizing it myself."The princess looked at Maren. Maren looked at the princess and lowered his head toward her, briefly but with genuine respect. The princess returned the gesture. The conversations around them were still going, louder than before now, carrying from multiple directions at once."Has anyone ever arrived at this festival with full teleportation before?""Never seen it.""Me neither.""Who's that beside him? • Chapter 134: Maren in festival

Leo had grown tired of browsing the stalls. Most of the enchanted items he had seen were far below his own level. That wasn't to say the festival had offered nothing of value. Walking through it, Leo had come to understand that his level of sorcery was actually not something to be taken lightly across all four kingdoms. He had also noticed the kind of power the great general had at his disposal.During the previous simulation, when Leo had attacked the great general's city, the system summary had described a scene like this: 125 rune sorcerers, most likely all at level four or above, tearing enormous chunks out of the imperial army through spells performed in concert. Had Leo not identified the weak point of those combined sorcerers during that simulation, recognizing that each of them was a vital piece of a single massive spell, the Dark Army could probably have wiped out the entire imperial force without taking a single loss.At the time Leo had killed one of the sorcerers with a si

The princess moved close to Leo and looked at the bundle."The boy looked very young, did what he wrote actually interest you?""Some of it.""Do you think he could become as good a sorcerer as you one day?""I doubt it. But he'll definitely make a good teacher.""Then why don't you invite him to work for you?""First, I don't currently have any plan like a magic school where I'd bring together and train children with talent in sorcery. Second, sorcerers generally don't like working under someone else, because they believe that sorcerers who don't maintain an independent way of thinking can't reach higher levels."The princess thought about this."What do you think about that?""Working under someone else generally isn't a problem, as long as the person you're working for doesn't run you ragged every hour of the day and turn you into an exhausted number.""So is Uncle Maren bad then?""No no, I'm not talking about magic training, I'm talking about being used for simple work. After stepping into the garden and breathing in the fresh air, Leo stretched properly and murmured to himself. "If I keep staying here I'm going to end up falling in love with a damned simulation character and then feel obligated to marry the first person I meet when I get back to the real world."Without further hesitation, Leo wiped the scene he'd just lived from his mind and initiated a time skip. He set the duration to just after arriving in the capital. When Leo opened his eyes again he was in a square. The princess was standing beside him, looking around with eyes full of curiosity. At the same time she had her arm firmly locked through his and was pulling him along behind her.The square was no longer recognizable. Under normal circumstances this was one of the busiest market streets in the kingdom, farmers selling fresh vegetables, fabric merchants, food vendors. But today none of that was here. The stalls were there but the goods on them were completely different. The people

"Leave that one." The princess picked up the green dress and tossed it onto the bed."It won't work for palace ceremonies, despite being beautiful." She took the navy one and placed it in the bag. She walked to the wardrobe and opened it, examining the contents. She looked for a while. "This one." She pulled out a dark grey kaftan and added it to the bag.Throughout the entire process Leo watched the back of the princess's gathered hair and her determined, methodical work. After finishing her own bag the princess moved to Leo's, which was already packed."You've put in two shirts.""That's enough."The princess ignored what Leo said, said nothing, and added four more without comment. She reached up to the box on the shelf, opened it, and pulled out a thin belt."Take this too.""I have belts.""Your formal outfit doesn't have one. I thre

  • Chapter 130: 21 years old

[You are 21 years old. The greater part of the year was spent with Maren. The Area Lock spell turned out to be more complex than you had anticipated. The theory was understandable, but the application was something else entirely. To seal a defined area completely, you had to control every point of that area simultaneously, without leaving a single gap, without a single weak rune. In the first attempts, some air seeped through, then light, then sound. If the things seeping through had been your deliberate choices, that would have been one thing, but since they were happening outside your control, you were technically failing the spell each time. Maren simply watched every time and said nothing. You wanted to punch him in the face and call him a smug teenager for the way he kept standing there acting cool, but you still weren't strong enough to beat him. You repeated it, repeated it, repeated it.][Alongside this work that stretched across months, the forest along the eastern border con
