“Fine. But be aware, if anything happens to my father—don’t expect to leave here alive,” Gerald warned darkly.

“I know what I’m doing.” Adrian replied calmly.

Then, with help from the medical staff, Adrian undressed the old man and turned him over, to expose his back for treatment.

“Stop!”

However, just then, a sudden shout rang out from the door.

A well-groomed young man in his late twenties strode in, casting a scornful glance at Adrian.

“Mr. Aldridge, you can’t let this nobody gamble with Grandpa Aldridge’s life!”

“Malvin, I appreciate your concern,” Gerald said with a sigh.

“But we have no better option right now. We have to let him try.”

“Who says we don’t have a better option?” Malvin Darkthorn said with a proud smile.

“Look who I brought.”

He gestured toward the doorway.

Everyone turned to look.

An imposing elderly man in a flowing white robe walk in with calm authority.

“Legendary Healer—Aldric Sylvester?!”

Gasps erupted around the room.
