The ride to the Lotus group luxury villa was a pretty short one with Abel Scott and Mr Jackson Alfred avoiding eye contact with each other.

“So how exactly did Sarah Lawrence win the Lotus group luxury villa?” Mrs Elena Lawrence immediately asked as they sped past some homeless people on the streets.

“It was actually the decision of Mr Schmidt to give the Mansion to Sarah Lawrence for many unrelated reasons.”

“Mrs Elena Lawrence I really understand your skepticism, not often do people get this kind of gift from people but consider this an act of Mr Schmidt's kindness.” Mr Jackson Alfred said as he drove into the Lotus group luxury villa estate gate.

Mrs Elena Lawrence and Sarah Lawrence were still skeptical from the looks on their faces.

“Well, can we at least meet Mr…Schmidt and thank him for his unprecedented kind gesture?” Sarah Lawrence asked from behind.

“Um…” Mr Jackson Alfred stammered as he stared at Abel Scott who shook his head in disapproval of the request.

“Umm…I really don't think so, he is a very busy man.”

“In fact he is currently not in the country as we speak, you can have whatever you want to tell him written down and I will mail it to him.” Mr Jackson Alfred said smiling at Sarah Lawrence through the rearview mirror.

Moments later, Mr Jackson Alfred pulled up in front of one of the Lotus group luxury villas.

The villa was the best of the thirty luxury villas in the section.

“I will show you all around immediately.” Mr Jackson Alfred said as he opened the car and walked towards the front door.

The interior of the luxury mansion was more luxurious than the exterior which had it's walls marbled completely.

“This will now be your new home and I will relay your thanks to Mr Schmidt, he is the new CEO of the Lotus group.”

“I will now have Sarah Lawrence sign here at once.” Mr Jackson Alfred said as he pulled out a document from his suitcase.

Mrs Elena Lawrence who was still blown away by the luxury that was the mansion slowly smiled as she helped her daughter sign the necessary documents.

“Mr Thomas Wilson, we really appreciate this kindness from Mr Schmidt, tell him we are really grateful.”

“When again did you say we can we see him?” Mrs Elena Lawrence asked.

“Like I said, Mr Schmidt is a busy man, just enjoy the beautiful mansion, I have other things to catch up with.” With that said he stepped out of the living room and zoomed off.

Mrs Elena Lawrence immediately stared at Abel Scott.

“Do you know anything about this Mr Schmidt of a guy, the new CEO of the Lotus group luxury brand?”

“The last time I checked the Lotus group was owned by the Lord Rafael and his family.”

“Mrs Elena, why would you even think that I would know anything about Mr…Schmidt, whoever he is?” Abel Scott immediately asked.

“I don't know…oh wait I forgot you are too poor to know anyone wealthy and influential.”

“When was the last time you even got yourself a new pair of shoes or a shirt?”

“You haven't even been able to get yourself a house not to even talk of knowing anyone wealthy and successful like Mr...Schmidt.”

“At least we are not on the streets again, this mansion is so huge that it's five times the size of Lady  Natasha Lawrence's villa!” Mrs Elena Lawrence said as she gazed around the whole house.

“I just wished Sarah, my daughter hadn't gone blind, who knows maybe by now she would be getting married to Mr Schmidt and not this poor cow I call a Son-in-law.” Mrs Elena Lawrence muttered to herself as she gazed at a rare art on the wall worth millions of dollars.

“If only she knows that Mr Schmidt is a made-up character, I bet she would be on her feet begging me for mercy the moment she realises that I'm the owner of the Lotus group.” Abel Scott muttered to himself slowly.

Walking over to Sarah Lawrence, he held her hands and slowly rubbed her shoulders.

“Sarah, I told you we will get through this, didn't I?” Abel Scott asked.

Sarah Lawrence although blind at the moment could sense something strange in his voice.

“Yes, you did and I beginning to really wonder if you already knew that this would happen before now, or do you have some kind of super powers that allowed you to predict the future?”

“It's just too good to believe, you know?”

“Didn't Mr Thomas Wilson just show up moments after you got off the call?” Sarah Lawrence asked as she furrowed her eyebrows.

Abel Scott was taken aback immediately, he knew that revealing his truth identity and what really made him run from his city wouldn't only endanger himself but her too and even Mrs Elena Lawrence, his mother-in-law.

“No, I didn't, I wasn't on call with Mr Jackson…I mean Mr Thomas Wilson.”

“I would say it's just a coincidence that he showed up just a few minutes after I got off the call from a friend.”

“You have to believe me, just like your mom said I'm way too poor to know influential people like Mr Schmidt.”

“What we should be talking about is settling into our new home.”

“That is all that matters for now, and helping you see again.” Abel Scott added.

“Abel we have been through this a billion times, I can't see anymore!”

“The doctors confirmed that the chemical damage that day really burnt my eyes pretty badly and had ruined all and any possible chances of me being able to see again in this world!”

“While this may be one of the most bitter bile to swallow, it's the truth and there is nothing you, my mom or anyone can do to help my condition.”

“Abel Scott, I'm really blind and helpless at this point.” Sarah Lawrence said as she began weeping profusely.

“It's okay, Sarah, it's okay, I really understand.” Abel Scott said as he patted her shoulder.

“Abel Scott, I have warned you not to talk about Sarah's critical condition, we have tried everything within our means and we have failed!”

“She can't be able to see with those eyes ever again.”

“It's a pity but it's the hard truth, and I would really appreciate it if you would stop bringing up her issues especially when you a poor loser can't even help her in any way!” Mrs Elena Lawrence said as she stepped over towards Sarah.

“Mrs Elena, the doctors could be wrong sometimes, Sarah's condition might not be as bad as they are portraying it at the moment.”

“What if there is a way to actually heal Sarah, I mean maybe an unprecedented medical approach?” Abel Scott said, his voice was laced with urgency and determination.

“Abel Scott, I will not be happy to have this conversation with you again!”

“Sarah needs to rest, take her medications as we plan for a way to raise Mr Zack's hospital bill, Lady Natasha Lawrence seized all our accounts, we have nothing left.” Mrs Elena Lawrence said as she almost bursted into tears.

“How much exactly do we need to pay off Mr Zack's hospital bills?” Abel Scott immediately asked.

“It's three million dollars, he has undergone a major surgery, why am I even telling you any of this?”

“It's not like you can help us out!” Mrs Elena Lawrence said angrily.

Abel Scott slowly laughed out loud and stared at Sarah Lawrence before walking upstairs.

Pulling out his phone he called a hidden number.

“C'mon pick up already."

“Who's there?” the first man barked again. His voice echoed through the silent hallway. Abel Scott pushed the mop aside and slipped into a nearby supply closet gently shutting the door. He held his breath but the scent of bleach and damp rag filled his lungs. Through the narrow slit in the door he saw the shadows of the men searching for any sign of an intruder“Did you hear that?” the man with the Vandel insignia barked, his shoe scraping the marble floor. “There is someone else here.”“It is probably the janitor.” The second man said, his voice dripping with irritation. “Let's check the other office and get out of here. Lord Ammon Vandel is waiting for our report on the grave.”One of the men stopped in front of the supply closet. Abel Scott’s breath caught. His heartbeat thundering in his ears. After trudging through many office doors in the hallway, the men retreated. “What a sheer waste of time.” one of the men muttered as they walked into the elevator. “My God!” Abel Scott

She had a clipboard under her arm. “Did they hire you to clean up your mess after that horrendous interview?” Francisca asked. “I am just doing my job. Ma” Abel Scott kept his eyes on the floor, slightly gripping the mop handle.“Ma?” Francisca scoffed, nudging Amelia. “He is too polite for a floor scrubber.” she laughed. “Tell me, Abel, do you ever dream of becoming something more than this,” she asked.“Dream? Why bother dreaming?” Amelia chimed in, her voice

The heavy oak door of the nondescript cafe pushed open, faintly jingling the bell above. The scent of roasted coffee beans filled the air, mingling with the damp air of the morning rain.“You are late Mr Jackson,” Abel Scott said, his voice low but firm, sipping the steaming hot cup of espresso before him. “I trust you have read the paper?” Mr Jackson muttered, sliding into the seat opposite him, his grey suit immaculate, he adjusted his cufflinks.Abel's eyes flickered to the folded paper from the cemetery lying tightly on cafe table. He picked it up, unfolding it with deliberate care. His fingers slightly shaking as he smoothened the paper. He slid the paper to Mr Jackson.“Look!” Abel said pointing at a picture of a coin.“This looks like a map.” Mr Jackson said, carefully studying the paper. “Read what it say below the coin.” Abel Scott requested.“The coin is the key to the Scott family gold reserves. Abel Scott sat, his pen inscribing words against the paper. His phone buzzed. It was a text from Mr Jackson Alfred. “The acquisition of ABC corporation has been finalized, Vibe corporations and westbridge distributions are now under your control, Lord Abel Scott.
