CHAPTER ONE
“Throw her bags outside immediately!”
“I don't want anyone from her family anywhere around this villa again!”
Lady Natasha Lawrence, the grand Matriarch of the Lawrence family yelled at her security details as they stormed one of the houses in the Lawrence family villa.
“But grandma, where are we supposed to go, I'm blind and my dad isn't feeling too well?”
“You know that he is currently hospitalized at the local hospital.”
“Please don't throw us out.” Sarah Lawrence, the first granddaughter of Lawrence's family, begged as she held onto her walking stick, she was blind and wearing dark shade glasses to mask her pitiful condition.
“Well you should have thought about that before deciding to disfigure yourself all because of a man you don't even know.”
“Sarah, you used to be somebody before now!”
“You were the pride of the whole Lawrence family, but look at you now!…you are deformed beyond medical repair.”
“You are now nothing but a shadow of your former self!”
“You are the reason why I wasn't able to move this family to the top of the business chain in this city!”
“If you had just minded your own business and stayed away from helping strangers you would have been in perfect shape to get married to George Wells or Gary Larry or anyone from the most influential families in the city!”
“Sarah, you brought this upon yourself!”
“Push her and her parents outside the gates immediately!” Lady Natasha yelled as she stomped her pasotti umbrella that had a dragon golden handle on the floor.
“Grandma please, we don't have anywhere else to go, please, Mr Zack is sick and you have frozen all of our family accounts.” Mrs Elena Lawrence, the mother of Sarah, immediately pleaded.
“Mrs Elena, you are in no condition to beg or ask for help from any of us!”
“Sarah deserves every bit of anger Grandma is pouring out on her as we speak!”
“She should have listened to us and grandma before embarking on that deadly mission of hers!”
“Now that she is blind and consequently useless to us all, what do you want us to do?!”
“She can no longer serve any vital purpose to the advancement of the Lawrence's family!”
“She can't even represent the family again at Global con, the forthcoming business event, I agree with Lady Natasha on this one!”
“It’s better she is gone for good, staying here alone is rubbing off a lot of disgrace on our public image already!” Lisa, one of Sarah's envious cousins, immediately added.
“Speaking of throwing them out of the house, Grandma, where the heck is Abel Scott, that poor Son-in-law of ours?!” Lisa immediately asked as she looked around the room.
“Abel!!!” Lady Natasha Lawrence immediately yelled at the top of his voice.
Just then, a young man about 5 '9 immediately raced into the room.
“Grandma, you called me, is anything wrong?…why are our bags outside Sarah?” Abel Scott asked as he stared at Sarah who was already beginning to cry profusely.
The Lawrence family had only allowed Abel Scott to live with them after he had saved the blind Sarah Lawrence from a car accident.
They decided to allow Abel Scott marry Sarah Lawrence, more likely to be her personal maid since she was now blind and helpless.
“Well Abel, Grandma Natasha is kicking you and your wife out of the family villa!”
“Since she decided it was wise for her to go about playing hero and saving strangers, she not just lost both her eyes, she had ruined our families’ best bet on becoming a top elite family by next summer!”
“Abel Scott, don't ask questions, just help Sarah pack her bags outside the gate!”
“One more thing, Mr Zack is currently hospitalized and Sarah Lawrence also has lost the right to any of our properties, she can't go out with any of our cars.”
“She can't stay at any of our apartment's in the suburbs, the only choice for you all is go into the slums!”
“The slums are exactly where a blind ungrateful person like her belongs!” Lisa added and smirked at Mrs Elena Lawrence.
“Grandma, you can't possibly be serious, where the heck is she supposed to go?” Abel Scott asked, staring at Lady Natasha Lawrence.
“Anywhere but here!”
“Throw them all out immediately!” Lady Natasha Lawrence commanded and security protocols immediately moved into action.
In a matter of minutes Abel Scott, his wife, Sarah Lawrence and her mother, Mrs Elena Lawrence were outside of the Lawrence family mansion.
Just when they thought it couldn't get worse, the rain began falling.
“Sarah, it's going to be okay.”
“We are going to get through this, I…”
“You what Abel Scott?!”
“What are you talking about?!”
“We are completely helpless in this situation!”
“There is no need to lie to my daughter, Sarah!”
“Lady Natasha Lawrence just chased us out of the family mansion and froze all accounts tied to our family!”
“Mr Zack, my husband is in the hospital!”
“My daughter, Sarah might be unfortunately blind but she isn't stupid!” Mrs Elena Lawrence said as she wept beside her daughter, Sarah Lawrence.
“Speaking of usefulness, Abel Scott, you have also been one of the most useless Son-in-laws I have ever seen!”
“You are poor, wretched and you are the last person we can look up to in this type of situation.”
“You don't even have a house to call your own, the only reason my husband and I allowed you to even come close to Sarah is because she is blind and all her potential Ultra-wealthy suitors bailed on her.”
“Don't even think of saying anything because your words don't count!” Mrs Elena Lawrence said as she stared at Abel Scott.
“If she had just left that stranger in the hospital that night, perhaps, she would still be having her eyes right now!”
“We wouldn't have to be in this God forsaken situation, just take a look at me!”
“Where the heck are we supposed to be headed this minute?!”
“I know Lady Natasha Lawrence, she is as ruthless as they come, she must have publicized our removal from the Lawrence's family already, so calling Mr Eugene for help would be a big waste of time.” Mrs Elena Lawrence said as she held Sarah Lawrence's hand.
“Mrs Elena Lawrence, I will figure this out. Can you please trust me on this?” Abel Scott said.
“Never! I will never trust a poor man like yourself!!”
“I regret allowing you, acnobody to marry Sarah, my daughter, I would have preferred she stayed blind and unmarried!”
Abel Scott upon hearing Mrs Elena's words shook his head.
Just then his phone immediately rang.
“Wait, when did you get a phone, Abel?” Sarah asked as she heard the phone ring.
“A friend gave me the phone, excuse me one moment.”
Abel Scott immediately stepped away and picked up the phone.
The phone displayed a private number.
“Mr Jackson, I have been expecting your call.”

Through the narrow slit in the door he saw the shadows of the men searching for any sign of an intruder“Did you hear that?” the man with the Vandel insignia barked, his shoe scraping the marble floor. “There is someone else here.”“It is probably the janitor.” The second man said, his voice dripping with irritation. “Let's check the other office and get out of here. Lord Ammon Vandel is waiting for our report on the grave.”One of the men stopped in front of the supply closet. Abel Scott’s breath caught. His heartbeat thundering in his ears. She had a clipboard under her arm. “Did they hire you to clean up your mess after that horrendous interview?” Francisca asked. “I am just doing my job. Ma” Abel Scott kept his eyes on the floor, slightly gripping the mop handle.“Ma?” Francisca scoffed, nudging Amelia. “He is too polite for a floor scrubber.” she laughed. “Tell me, Abel, do you ever dream of becoming something more than this,” she asked.“Dream?
