“I'm really sorry about the delay Lord Abel…”
“Mr Jackson, I have really warned you not to address me as Lord Abel, especially when we are on the phone.”
“You can never know who is eavesdropping on our conversation.” Abel Scott slowly said as he stared at his wife from the other end of the road.
“No problems…Mister Abel Scott.”
“Any lead on my grandfather's case? Have you been able to find the bastard who poisoned Lord Rene's because if you haven't I will be forced to do things my own way?” Abel Scott said as he paced across the street.
“Lord…I mean Mister Abel, I have my intel but I still have to do my own personal scrutinization, you never can truly trust this intel most of the time.”
“I assure you Mister Abel Scott, we will find out what really happened to your grandfather and we will have justice for the Scott's family…for now I will advise you to lie low.”
“A more resourceful intel told me that the gang that was hired to take out your parents Mr Andrew Scott and Mrs Sharon Scott are currently on the loose.”
“I really don't understand what is going on at the moment, but I refuse to believe that they followed us to SouthRise city.”
“No one must know about your secret identity, I really don't know why you still ignored me and didn't change your name as I told you.”
“Your late father would kill me if anything happens to you before we complete the mission.” Mr Jackson Alfred said as he took a deep breath.
He was seated in the driver's seat of a fully reinforced military grade version of a never-seen-before Lamborghini STO.
“Mr Jackson, I choose to run away and hide from the Scott's family, that doesn't mean I should renounce my father's name.”
“The whole purpose of this mission is to keep his name alive right?”
“Why the heck then should I be changing my name to whatever it was you recommended?” Abel Scott immediately asked.
“Lord Abel Scott, I am really sorry for that, but you and I know that you are the only true heir left of the great Scott's family, Lord Ammon Vandel’s sons are just posers, should anything happen to you…”
“I will be forced to end my very life!” Mr Jackson Alfred said with some much determination in his voice.
“Mr Jackson Alfred, you will do no such thing.”
“Speaking of which, where the heck are you right now?” Abel Scott asked.
“I'm currently at the street leading to the super mall, is there any issue Lord Abel Scott?” Mr Jackson Alfred asked slowly.
“Not really, but we just got kicked out of Lawrence's family mansion by you know who.”
“That poor lady Natasha Lawrence, right?”
“Yes, she apparently thinks I'm worthless and she decided to throw myself, Sarah and Mrs Elena Lawrence out of the mansion.”
“I need you to find a seven star hotel and purchase it in my name immediately.”
“We are going to be needing a better place than this shit-hole lady Natasha Lawrence calls a mansion.” Abel Scott said as he watched Sarah Lawrence and her mom sit by the side of the street.
“Who the heck does Lady Natasha Lawrence really think she is?” He immediately added.
“Mister Abel, I think I have a better idea, and you are going to love it!”
“I recently recovered some documents from your dad's archive, it turns out Mr Andrew Scott has actually been to this City before now.”
“It turns out that your family, under the control of your dad, owns the Luxury brand called Lotus group and some chain of luxury villas not just far from here.”
“So I will advise you to bring Sarah Lawrence over to one of the mansions, it's the least you can do for the lady that risked everything for you, even her very own eyesight.” Mr Jackson Alfred said as he stared at his dashboard.
“You know what, Mr Jackson Alfred, you are very correct, Sarah Lawrence might not know that I'm the boy she saved that day at the prison morgue, but it doesn't really matter.”
“I will find a way to repay her for her kindness, all of it!”
“Even if it's the last thing I do.”
“Mr Jackson Alfred, I need you here immediately, so that you can take us to the villa already, it's getting pretty late.” Abel Scott said as he started heading towards Mrs Elena and Sarah Lawrence who were still wondering how to survive their current predicament.
“No issues, Lord Abel Scott, I know exactly what to do.” With that said, the phone was immediately hung up by Abel Scott.
Walking over to Sarah Lawrence, he held her by her hand and slowly whispered into her ears, “It's going to be okay.”
Ten minutes later, an Escalade SUV pulled up in front of the place where Abel Scott, Mrs Elena Lawrence and Sarah Lawrence were seated.
A man in a black suit and well polished Oxford luxury shoes slowly stepped out of the Escalade SUV.
He was accompanied by a lady that carried a black briefcase behind him.
“I'm sorry, Mrs Sarah Lawrence, we have been looking everywhere for you, we just came from the address that we had some years ago but it turns out you are no longer living at the Lawrence's family mansion…”
“I'm really sorry, who are you again?!” Mrs Elena Lawrence immediately asked as she stared askance at Mr Jackson Alfred.
“My name is Thomas…Wilson.”Mr Jackson Alfred lied immediately.
“Sarah Lawrence, your daughter had just won herself a luxury mansion from the Lotus group, I was sent here by the new owner…Mr Schmidt.” He said, staring at Abel Scott.
“Mr Schmidt would like you to take a look at the mansion and perhaps start living in it as soon as possible.”
Sarah Lawrence was immediately shocked.
“Mr Thomas Wilson, are you really sure about this?” Sarah asked.
“Yes I'm sure, if you don't mind I will take you people there immediately.” Mr Jackson Alfred said as he spared a glance at Abel Scott.
“Let's go check it out!” Sarah Lawrence said excitedly.
Mr Jackson Alfred immediately signalled and the lady helped Mrs Elena load up their bags into the boot of the Escalade SUV.
“We will be at the Lotus group mansion in no time.” Mr Jackson Alfred said as the car zoomed off.

The city lights and buildings were blurry in the background as the black sedan's engine roared behind them in hot pursuit. Her chest was pounding seeing the sedan’s headlight cutting through cars like a predator chasing its prey through the grass through the rearview mirror.“What is happening, Abel?” She said, her eyes frequently change course between the road and the mirror. “Who are those guys? How did you know that they were after us? What is going on here, Abel?”Abel Scott kept his eye glued to the side mirror, observing as the sedan weaved its way through the busy road in relentless pursuit.“I have no idea, Sarah.” He said, his voice loud but overshadowed by the roar of the car engine. “Something didn't just sit right with me about the guy. The way he was watching us. The way he held his phone and moved toward us. like he was receiving instructions” he paused, then shifted his gaze

Her eyebrows narrowed. “Excuse me?” She rebutted. “You do not get to talk to my husband in that manner.” Jude scoffed, unfazed by the flare in her eyes. “Oh, come on, Sarah, don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about.” He said, his voice dripping with condescension.“This guy…This guy…” He continued, jerking his thumb at Abel again. “This guy scrubs toilets while you purchase companies and you tell me there is no voodoo here?” “What is the trick, Abel?” He continued, “What is it? Love portion? Is it Black magic? What is it, Abel?”“Where did you get it? Tell me so I can scoop a high-profile woman like her for myself too.” Abel Scott's fist curled into a ball at his sides, the h

“Who's there?” the first man barked again. His voice echoed through the silent hallway. Abel Scott pushed the mop aside and slipped into a nearby supply closet gently shutting the door. He held his breath but the scent of bleach and damp rag filled his lungs. Through the narrow slit in the door he saw the shadows of the men searching for any sign of an intruder“Did you hear that?” the man with the Vandel insignia barked, his shoe scraping the marble floor. “There is someone else here.”“It is probably the janitor.” The second man said, his voice dripping with irritation. “Let's check the other office and get out of here. Lord Ammon Vandel is waiting for our report on the grave.”One of the men stopped in front of the supply closet. Abel Scott’s breath caught. His heartbeat thundering in his ears. After trudging through many office doors in the hallway, the men retreated. “What a sheer waste of time.” one of the men muttered as they walked into the elevator. “My God!” Abel Scott

Abel Scott, now in a blue janitor uniform. The wheels of the mop bucket squealed as he pushed it down the hallway.“Look, it's the new janitor,” a brunette with the name tag Francisca said. Her red lipstick stood out against her pale skin. She had the aura of a person who looked down on low status workers due to her stalled career.“What is your name again?” she asked, loud enough to get everyone's attention. “Abel, right?” Another woman asked, she stood beside Francisca at the water cooler with her name tag reading Amelia. She had a clipboard under her arm. “Did they hire you to clean up your mess after that horrendous interview?” Francisca asked. “I am just doing my job. Ma” Abel Scott kept his eyes on the floor, slightly gripping the mop handle.“Ma?” Francisca scoffed, nudging Amelia. “He is too polite for a floor scrubber.” she laughed. “Tell me, Abel, do you ever dream of becoming something more than this,” she asked.“Dream? Why bother dreaming?” Amelia chimed in, her voice

The heavy oak door of the nondescript cafe pushed open, faintly jingling the bell above. The scent of roasted coffee beans filled the air, mingling with the damp air of the morning rain.“You are late Mr Jackson,” Abel Scott said, his voice low but firm, sipping the steaming hot cup of espresso before him. “I trust you have read the paper?” Mr Jackson muttered, sliding into the seat opposite him, his grey suit immaculate, he adjusted his cufflinks.Abel's eyes flickered to the folded paper from the cemetery lying tightly on cafe table. He picked it up, unfolding it with deliberate care. His fingers slightly shaking as he smoothened the paper. He slid the paper to Mr Jackson.“Look!” Abel said pointing at a picture of a coin.“This looks like a map.” Mr Jackson said, carefully studying the paper. “Read what it say below the coin.” Abel Scott requested.“The coin is the key to the Scott family gold reserves. He stepped into the Vibe Corporation lobby clasping his fresh resume tightly. The receptionist's eyes were fixated on her screen, her finger clacking against the keyboard. Abel Scott cleared his throat in an attempt to register his presence. “Abel Scott, I'm here for the janitorial assistant interview,” his voice was soft and low.She looked up, her expression flat as the marble floor. “You again?” she muttered, flipping through a stack of paper.“Fill this paper and wait in that room,” she said, sliding across a form and pointing at the room on the other side of the hall. Abel Scott sat, his pen inscribing words against the paper. His phone buzzed. It was a text from Mr Jackson Alfred. “The acquisition of ABC corporation has been finalized, Vibe corporations and westbridge distributions are now under your control, Lord Abel Scott. Do you have any instructions?” Abel replied quickly. “Ensure I get the janitor jo
