Aura farming!

The skies of Brayden were already turning purple with a tinge of greyish black smoke in them.

The first day of the apocalypse was over.

The terror however wasn't!

In a small piece of shrubbery next to the student dormitories, a group of three girls could be seen hiding while doing their best not to make a sound. They looked tattered and there was nothing to mention their once youthful beauty as their clothes were torn and bloodied while dirt caked up on their faces.

Currently they were watching or rather were forced to watch their friend being eaten by a zombie.

They had just been heading out for a quick meal at the cafeteria when the apocalypse descended, the next few hours were their worst which unfortunately led to the death of their friend.

The scene before them was utterly gut wrenching enough to make the strongest willed person retch, there was nothing they could do however as any movement they made would inevitably alert the zombies to their presence.

Finally after seemingly having it's fill the zombie stood up from it's dinner before wandering away clearly in search of another prey.

After they had made sure that the zombies was far away the three girls slowly stood up. Their legs were weak from the long time spent squatting but they couldn't be bothered with that.

“Mia….mia!”

Seeing the corpse of their friends the trio couldn't help but feel some tears forming on their faces.

However, now wasn't the time to dwell on that or else they might just end up in the same situation as their friend.

Running with all their might the three girls soon left the shrubbery their location: the student dormitories.

The student dormitories consisted of both a male wing and a female wing, both consisting of numerous five story buildings.

Due to obvious privacy reasons the female dormitories were separated from the male dormitories by a wide asphalt road and a tall fence.

On a normal day this asphalt road could be crossed in a matter of seconds but today wasn't normal at all.

Furthermore their dormitory building was at the extreme end of the lot!

Making sure not to make any sound the three girls crept towards their location.

Judging from the huge amount of zombies it was easy for them to guess that a huge amount of the undead creatures would be lurking there but they had no choice every other place was unsafe and their dormitories were the only place that came to their mind.

It was already dark and they didn't even dare to think about what sort of horrific things could happen to them.

Soon they had crossed the most dangerous stretch of the journey, all they had to do was safely pass through the wandering zombies at the gate and then….CLANK!

Unfortunately, they soon ran out of luck one of the ladies lady with a pink tank top suddenly kicked a can of empty soda causing it to skid across the asphalt harshly.

In the empty, silent street that was akin to a full on firecracker going off.

Immediately the eyes of all the wandering zombies turned towards the trio's location as countless growling sounds could be heard.

The next moment the sound of the zombies frantically scuttling towards them drowned out every other sound in the world.

Petrified from fear the three of them could do nothing but watch as the zombies rushed towards them saliva dripping widly from their mouth.

In the end it turned out that they would not be able to escape the same fate as their friend.

“Sisters, if there is a next life I'll love to be with you all!”. Sobbing the girl with the ponytail said as tears streamed down her face.

“Me too!”

“Me too!"

With tearful voices the three of them closed their eyes as they waited for the zombies to tear them apart.

“Tsk..tsk…tsk.. giving up like that how do you expect a man like me to feel then?”

The three were still expecting the zombies only to hear a slightly teasing voice. Surprised, they opened their eyes to see a young man standing in front of them his back to the approaching horde of zombies.

There was this everpresent wild grin plastered on his face as if even the approaching horde of zombies weren't able to faze him.

However, the three girls were still dazed as they wondered where this young man had come from.

At this point the zombies were only a few meters away.

“Behind you!"

Even though they knew it was futile they still subconciously alerted the young man.

“Oh those? they came just at the right time for me to test my babies.”

His next words and actions however shocked them to the very core of their being.

Winking at them the young man turned around while tossing a round object behind him which surprisingly landed accurately in the middle of the approaching horde.

Clenching his fist he only said a single word.

“Shockwave!"

The next moment their eyes nearly popped out from their sockets.

From the centre of the horde where the ball like object was dropped a translucent, shimmering semicircle rapidly expanded. Everywhere it passed the zombies there would suddenly freeze like something had restrained their movements. When the semicircle finally covered the last zombie which was merely half a meter away from the young man it finally stopped spreading.

Then the next second the shockwave semicircle suddenly contracted to a tiny point dragging along with it the zombies before suddenly expanding rapidly tearing all the zombies to tiny pieces too small to be seen with the naked eye.

There was no sound, no loud explosion. Only a flash of light and a slight breeze bore witness to the extremely shocking scene that had happened.

Looking at the shocked faces of the three ladies the young man let out a satisfied smile.

In their eyes the young man looked like the main character of some novel who was in the midst of faceslapping an arrogant young master!

“Now that's what you call weapon fit for the big boys!”
