The Royal family
The royal family stepped forward onto the dais at the far end of the hall. Bruce studied them with interest. Just like the Knight family, the royal family had a distinctive trait: they all had golden blonde hair. The King stood in the center, wearing a crown and sporting a full blond beard. Beside him stood his wife, the Queen, along with their three children: two princes and a princess. The princess looked stunning. Her golden hair fell in waves past her shoulders, and her eyes were a brilliant shade of blue. King William IV stepped forward and raised his hands. The ballroom fell into a respectful silence. "Welcome, distinguished guests," the King said, his voice carrying through the hall. "Tonight, we celebrate the unity of our empire and the bonds of friendship that tie us to the great nations of the world. It is my honor to welcome you to the Imperial Palace." Applause spread through the crowd in waves. The King waited for silence to settle before continuing. "But tonight

Lord Henry rose from his chair and gestured toward a set of French doors that led out into the garden. "This way, Mr. Shepherd. I'll show you your accommodations myself." Bruce followed him through the doors and into a sprawling garden that seemed to stretch for acres. As they walked, Bruce's eyes drifted to a large wooden structure on the far side of the garden. It was a beautiful stable with a red-tiled roof and wide doors that stood open to the afternoon breeze. Inside, he could see a dozen horses, their coats gleaming as they moved in their stalls. A stable hand was brushing one of the horses, a magnificent black stallion that stamped its hooves impatiently. Bruce slowed his pace, staring at the stable for a long moment. Lord Henry noticed. "Do you like horses?" Henry asked, his voice light and curious. Bruce shook his head. "Not particularly. I was just thinking about opening a horse stable back home. My countryside has plenty of empty land. It might be a good investment.

The Rolls-Royce gently came to a stop in front of the big entrance of the Knight family manor. The doors swung open, and Bruce stepped out onto the gravel driveway, his eyes sweeping over the magnificent structure before him. The manor was a masterpiece of old-world architecture. The gray stone walls had climbing ivy that softened them, tall windows framed by wrought-iron balconies, and a big staircase going up to the main entrance. General Kane led the way up the steps. The massive oak doors swung open before they could knock, revealing an impressive foyer that took Bruce's breath away. The interior was everything he expected from a noble family that had spanned generations, featuring some modern touches. Two maids appeared at the foot of the staircase, their heads bowed. They wore plain black dresses paired with white aprons, moving with grace. "Welcome to the Knight family estate, Mr. Shepherd," one of them said, her voice soft and respectful. "We are honored to have you a

The following three weeks were packed with a lot of preparation. Bruce worked tirelessly to ensure the Shepherd family's future was secure. If something were to happen to him, he needed to ensure that Michaelangelo would inherit the chairmanship without dispute. He called his attorneys to the estate and had them draft a comprehensive will and succession plan. Each document was examined thoroughly, with every clause perfectly crafted to eliminate any possible loopholes. Bruce had seen how easily families could be torn apart by greed and ambition. He wouldn't let that happen to his own.His only real concern was his aunt, Abigail Shepherd. Since the Zenith Clan crisis, Abigail Shepherd and her children had found peace with Bruce, and the experience had humbled them all. But Bruce knew better than to assume that peace would last forever. Abigail had once plotted against him. She had once allied herself with Thomas in an attempt to seize control of the Shepherd empire. Although she
The invitation part 2
The study had become so quiet that Bruce couldn't bear it. He needed to move, to keep his hands busy while his mind raced with thoughts. So he had Oswald set up a mini golf course in the east wing. This silly, childish game provided just enough focus to prevent his thoughts from spiraling. For the past six hours, ever since the letter arrived and the vision tore through his mind, Bruce has been troubled. Over the years, the ring of power had revealed so much to him: it protected him, guided him, and exposed enemies and secrets he could never have discovered alone. He believed he understood the ring's power and had unlocked its true potential. But that brief vision he had of the ball proved to him that there were still more abilities of the ring of power he hadn't yet unlocked. The ring held more potential than he had ever imagined, and that scared him. After receiving that vision, he tried to nap, hoping to encounter the old woman in his dreams and ask her about what he had

The study in the Shepherd estate was quiet, interrupted only by the gentle rustling of papers and the faint crackling of fire burning in the fireplace. Bruce sat behind his mahogany desk with his sleeves rolled up and a glass of whiskey next to him. He had spent hours reviewing documents: contracts, acquisition proposals, and quarterly reports. The life of a trillionaire was never dull, but it was often tedious. Lately, he has been working nonstop without taking any time to rest. There was so much to do that if Victoria hadn't been handling all the heavy lifting, he would have burnt out. Just then, Oswald entered the room and bowed slightly before Bruce. "Master Bruce, you have a letter mailed to you."Bruce looked up with a smirk. "A letter? Do people still send those these days? There's this thing called Gmail, Oswald. Very convenient. People should try it.""I am aware of email, Master Bruce," Oswald said. "However, this particular letter is likely an invitation. I think you sh
