A Demon

The world has changed. Monesta Country suffered a setback in just one night. All because of Casey, a demon who has been sneaking his life among fairies for years.

Casey even married a fairy named Juliana and had a son. However, Casey is locked up in a magic veil belonging to Juliana, the wife who takes responsibility even though she is deceived by Casey, Juliana sacrifices her life for the peace of Monesta.

After many years have passed, the magic veil that confines Casey begins to weaken, creating a rumor about the way Juliana's spirit summoning ritual is circulating affecting the residents. Until the rumor reached the ears of the fifth king of Monesta, Burke Dalbert.

"Drown a high level wizard in the river Elmer!" That is the order of the king of Monesta country.

Elmer, a river that stretches wide and long. Until the water boils down to Drake City, the ice hill where Casey is locked up. The drowned witches wish their souls to summon Juliana's spirit, and seal Casey back.

"Quickly throw him into the river," ordered the eunuch of the king's palace.

This time the victim was a young girl. The eyes keep crying, but the mouth can't speak. They used a locking spell on this woman's mouth.

The sound of bodies being thrown into the river permeated the silent night. The river flowed swiftly, as if it knew where to take the woman. When the legs that brought the woman to death began to move away. The river flow became calm.

"In the end, they're just a bunch of idiots," he added.

Feet just landed on the surface of the river, walked closer until these cold eyes found the woman had difficulty breathing. Elmer's river water is a soul binder, taking the life of anyone who drowns. Erland Beardsley, just by moving a finger, this woman's body was lifted and out of the river.

"Hurry up and go to the Flint gate, someone will pick you up," said Erland Beardsley while breaking the mouth lock spell.

Until the sound of crying broke out of this woman. "Thank you sir."

However, Erland ignored. Choose to walk across the water and return to the riverbank. Even so, Erland's eyes watched the woman actually run towards Flint.

"You help them a lot. Aren't you afraid that Casey is back in control of the world?"

Erland's feet stopped moving. With just one glance, Erland could see who was talking to him, even though the woman didn't show up. Then Erland's lips smiled cynically.

"Little fairies like you, how dare to come to the edge of the Elmer river," Erland sneered.

"How do you know I'm a fairy?" The woman sounded surprised.

Erland turned and started to walk away. "The smell of the fairy's body, isn't it very sweet? Careful to eat Luhde."

Luhde, a fish that is at the bottom of the Elmer river. Many witches, fairies, demons and dragons were eaten by small fish but in groups. Soul-eating fish, everyone calls it that.

Considering that the Elmer river is the border of the four regions, divided into groups of wizards, fairies, dragons and demons. All kinds of dangerous animals and poisons were in the river Elmer, preventing all groups from crossing one another. Unless... has the badge of Myron, the messenger.

"Why are you still alive? Do you have Myron?" asked the elf woman.

Erland, who was still not far away, immediately smiled cynically. "What if I don't have it?"

Of course it becomes a confusing thing. There is only one Myron, a badge that has always been passed down from generation to generation. Only a king has the right to own it. Without Myron, anyone crossing Elmer's river would become a wandering spirit. And... the king couldn't give Myron to anyone. Meanwhile, Erland still lives without the badge.

Erland's feet just entered the Flint gate. A place where nobles and officials were exiled after committing serious crimes. However, Flint is overpowered by Erland for losing a bet one night. Until Erland used the opportunity to make Flint a hideout for witches who, he said, were drowned in the Elmer River at a high level.

In fact... only low-level mages were drowned. As a form of public belief that the king summoned Juliana's spirit, through witches. Meanwhile high-level wizards... disappeared.

"Lord Erland." Everyone greeted and bowed their heads.

Erland was evidently well respected in Flint. Even the former prime minister, who was slandered by the king's accomplices, is now looking down. Baul Bart, the name of the prime minister who at that time wanted to reveal baseless rumors about Juliana's spirit summoning by drowning high-level witches. Dishonorably ousted from office.

"Are there any young girls running over here?" asked Erland to make sure.

Baual Bart nodded. "That's right sir. She's wearing a blue suit with wavy hair, and I've let her in."

Erland looked at Baul Bart. "Good. There's a thing...."

Baul Bart stared in surprise at Erland who suddenly fell silent. "Why sir?"

"Everyone go back," Erland begged.

"Yes sir." And they all obey his orders.

Until Erland's finger pointed at a man wearing a green suit. "Except you, stay here."

The man pointed at himself, but Erland gave no response other than just staring intently. The man's fingers trembled and walked closer. While Baul Bart stared in astonishment.

"If Master wants to discuss something serious, isn't it better if we talk alone?" asked Baul while glancing at the man who turned out to be just a commoner.

"Are you sure, when the veil was opened you only entered one person?" asked Erland with piercing eyes of the man behind the already trembling Baul.

"Yes, I'm sure sir. Have any wizards sneaked in?"

Erland grinned. "Oh, she's not a witch."

Baul Bart and this man were surprised when Erland created a magic veil, which made the three of them invisible to anyone. This magic veil… is only used for a demon to exterminate fellow demons. Baul Bart rushed away from the common man who immediately looked for reproaches to run away.

A symbol filled with numbers appeared on Erland's palm. This symbol, made this man no longer afraid. But, looked surprised. Because the symbol on Erland's hand was… the demon king's symbol.

"Sir," said this man, smiling and prostrating at Erland's feet, "I didn't know you were our king."

Erland looked hateful. "Your only king is Casey!"

The symbol of the devil, once Erland's palm touched the skin. This man's body was not a corpse, but dust that shattered into pieces. Baul Bart didn't seem surprised at all, seeing the ritual annihilation of fellow devils. Also... the identity of Erland, a demon who sneaks in among mages.
