The Devil's Offspring

"So many prey."

"I'll be full."

Laughter and conversations full of thirst and hunger came out of the mouths of the demons. Daran dragged Laura and Adaline much faster, not caring about the condition of the two of them who were already very dirty.

"Ah! Just eat the witch outside the veil!"

Daran exclaimed in fear with his legs running fast. They didn't care about the rocks and tree branches they crossed, hitting Laura and Adaline's bodies.

As Erland stood with his hand holding Edmond's sword, his eyes stared at Daran who was running fast in annoyance.

"You are great, O bird, to use your own master as bait."

"Ah!"

Erland was stunned because he had just realized this. That scream from Daran apparently invited the demons to come there. And didn't make Erland a target in the slightest.

"Your damn mouth is too loud," Erland grumbled.

Not just Daran's mouth. But the equipment that Daran brought was very noisy when his feet ran.

Obviously he wouldn't use the same method as Daran, just to attract the attention of the demons. Erland creates a confining symbol by counting the number of demons attacking Daran.

While Daran glanced at the laughing demons, wandering above the magic veil. Erland prepares to touch the ground of Halton with the symbol in his hand. However, Erland was stunned to see the demons suddenly just disappear.

Daran's eyes, which were originally red, immediately returned to normal. In that instant, the demons seemed to be absorbed and disappeared.

Daran stopped running with his hands releasing Laura and Adaline's legs. Daran, who felt exhausted, immediately sat down on the ground. Erland was silent with his eyes looking surprised.

Moreover, red snow no longer roams around Daran. Instead he ran scared and away from the four of them.

"What happened?" Erland muttered, not understanding.

Meanwhile, Daran suddenly bowed down towards Erland with a shout.

"Thank you, sir, for saving my meaningless life!"

Erland didn't put Edmond's sword back in, instead he walked closer to Daran, who took a breath greedily as soon as he sat back down. Erland looked at Daran suspiciously.

"What kind of devil are you, bird?"

Daran's eyes bulged in fear at Edmond's sword which was in front of his face. Daran turned his body back and ended up lying on his back, then Daran immediately prostrated himself and begged for forgiveness.

"Sorry sir! I didn't mean to lie to you, I am indeed a devil. But, I am just an old devil who has cultivated for a very long time."

"Please don't cut my body like that devil!"

Erland started to lower his sword. Daran breathed a sigh of relief, while Erland looked at Daran silently.

"You only know that this sword can split?"

Chief Daran nodded. "What else can a sword do besides cutting, sir?"

Erland completely kept his sword, after hearing that Daran didn't know the real use of Edmond's sword. Absorbs anyone's energy core and makes them die slowly or quickly, according to the user's wishes.

"Make them both aware," said Erland, looking at the calm situation in the city of Halton.

The sound of Daran unpacking the equipment made Erland sigh. Even though he didn't turn around at all, Erland knew for sure that Daran was checking whether the items he had brought were missing.

"Sir."

Erland glanced down. Erland's eyes saw Daran's hand offering a change of clothes, the clothes that Erland usually wore. This made him ready to rebuke.

"I also don't want to take your valuable clothes, sir, but this is an order from Mr. Baul."

"No need," Erland refused.

Then, Daran's eyes looked at Erland's stomach, which had been stabbed and his clothes were damaged.

"Are you going to let everyone guess what just happened? Torn clothes with beautiful abs--"

Daran just wanted to touch Erland's visible abdominal muscles. However, Erland rushed to dodge, which made Daran smile.

"Please change clothes."

"Turn around," said Erland as he took the clothes from Daran's hands.

Erland's eyes looked very sharp. Daran, who originally hoped to see the most beautiful masterpiece, was forced to turn around. Only then did Erland start to undress without hesitation.

Daran slowly turned his head and his eyes scanned the birthmark on Erland's back, then the man muttered softly, "descendant of the demon king Casey."

Daran hurriedly looked forward again, when Erland turned around with his clothes not yet fully worn.

"Damn it! Who told you to peek."

Hearing Erland's angry voice, Daran immediately replied, "I didn't peek at all, sir."

"Beautiful abs."

And it wasn't Daran's voice, but the fairy Laura's voice. Daran was shocked and immediately turned around. Daran didn't expect Laura to wake up so quickly. Even though memory erasure magic makes people unconscious all day.

"How did you come to your senses so quickly?"

Laura didn't respond to Daran at all. Just busy staring fascinated by Erland, even though he was fully dressed. Even Erland's angry eyes still didn't make Laura stop smiling.

"Mr. Erland, your abdominal muscles are the most beautiful muscles I have ever seen." Laura proudly praised, even giving a thumbs up.

Erland snorted in annoyance, while Daran stared in disbelief at what his eyes saw. A little elf like Laura falls in love with Erland, a descendant of the demon king Casey.

Laura's eyes stared closely at Erland. Even bravely stood up and walked over, just to touch Erland's stomach. Annoyance made Erland immediately push Laura away.

"Where did your wound go, Mr. Erland?"

On questions from Laura. Erland's eyes looked normal. Different from Daran, as the person who erased their memories. However, Laura still remembers the wounds on Erland's body.

"Then, how can we escape from that group of murderous demons?" Laura asked with searching eyes.

"Do you want to walk next to me later?" Erland's offer made Laura roll her eyes, then nod enthusiastically.

"Then shut your mouth," continued Erland.

"Yes sir," said Laura with a nod.

Daran didn't expect it at all. If Laura could still remember and be so obedient to Erland. Even Erland was willing to walk with Laura just to keep the battle with the murderous demon a secret.
