Fortunately, Arion knew the terrain well. He pulled Nadine back into his arms and shouted, “Don’t move!” His voice shook with anger, but he remained calm. He wouldn’t let anyone harm Nadine.

At that moment, his only option was to call on Nara for help. He was certain she could aid him in handling this situation.

The next instant, Arion felt his body suddenly surge with a strange power. His body grew lighter, his legs moved freely, unhindered, as if he were flying without touching the ground. With that power, he dashed forward at incredible speed, leaving the gunmen behind.

Fortunately, it was nighttime. Had it been daylight, others would surely have thought they had seen a ghost. For the shadows of the two of them vanished instantly, leaving the assassins bewildered and afraid.

Even so, the four shooters across the way were still baffled. How could Arion and Nadine’s figures vanish in the blink of an eye? They exch

“Arion,” Farrel’s voice turned serious, “a person only changes when forced into desperate situations. But every change comes with failure or danger. As long as you endure, you’ll succeed. But if you show even the slightest weakness, the opportunity will vanish forever.” His words were like a proverb, advice from someone who had seen many of life’s darkest corners.Though his words sounded reassuring, there was hidden sorrow in his tone, as if Farrel understood something only Arion knew. Arion fell silent, his body freezing in the cold of winter. He was certain no one knew about the Demon-Sealing Sword—not even Farrel. Perhaps his transformation from a mere network admin to a bodyguard had made Farrel believe he had undergone a great metamorphosis.“Farrel, thank you,” Arion whispered hoarsely, his voice carrying unspoken gratitude. After a brief exchange, Farrel excused himself. Yet something unspoken lingered between them, a silent understanding. What eased Arion’s mind a little was

Anxiety was clearly written on his face—this was the first time he had ever done something like this, so naturally, he felt worried.Farrel slowly opened his eyes, feeling the stabbing pain in his chest. It felt like energy was now circulating freely, something that had been lost ever since that severe injury. How could this be happening? he thought. He could hardly believe it—the power that had long been an unattainable luxury was now once again residing in his body.He tried to sit up, wanting to demand answers from Arion, but his gaze fell on Olafia, who was standing beside him. He swallowed his words and chose silence instead. Sensitive to the situation, Olafia quickly responded. “I’ll step outside for a bit,” she said, tidying her medicine box and walking out, giving them space.“A
