Back at the warehouse, the girls sat in a small circle on the cold, dusty floor. A single bulb dangled from the ceiling, casting a dim, flickering light that made the room feel even more eerie.

Emma rose slowly, brushing the dust from her jeans.

“I’ve been thinking about this again and again,” Emma began, her voice calm but firm. “And I believe our best chance to escape comes when we cook their food.”

The other girls turned to look at her. Some appeared surprised, others curious. A few leaned in, eager to hear what she had to say. Emma took a deep breath, gathering her thoughts before she continued.

“We are the ones who prepare all of their meals,” she explained. “They trust us with the kitchen, and they allow us to cook without watching too closely. That is the only advantage we have. So this is the plan—we make the food just as we always do, but this time, we mix poison into it. Once they eat it, they’ll be out of the way. Then we can figure out how to get out of the warehouse. “It’s a very good idea,” Mr. Khan muttered, his voice barely rising above a whisper. “So, Lily, call for a meeting, and Liam should visit BlackHood to see how he’s doing.” “Yes, sir,” Liam and Lily responded in unison, nodding respectfully before turning to leave the room together. A few minutes later, Mr. Khan stood at the front of a gathering, addressing about a dozen of those working under him. As he began to speak, more members filtered in, joining the group until the room gradually filled with a quiet but attentive presence. Beside him, Lily stood, her eyes scanning the crowd with calm precision. Mr. Khan took a moment to survey the room, ensuring all attention was on him before he continued. “So, before I begin with what I wanted to say, I hope no one has anything they wish to bring up. Any notices, concerns, or complaints,” he said. “Please, if you have something to say, now is the time.” His gaze moved steadily from one face to another, giving each one of them the chance

  • The Urge To Kill

On the screen was a man struggling to breathe after being stabbed different times, his chest rising and falling with visible effort . His eyes began to flutter shut, each blink slower than the last, until they finally closed completely, signalling the loss of his consciousness. Then, the video shifted abruptly to reveal the man responsible for the attack, his face lit with an unsettling satisfaction as he smiled broadly and let out a loud, mocking laugh. After a few more seconds, the footage ended, leaving both Liam and Lily staring at the blank screen in a state of disbelief and deep concern, their minds struggling to process the cruelty they had just witnessed.“This is so cruel and pure wickedness,” Liam muttered, a faint smirk tugging at his lips, though his tone carried a mix of anger and contempt. “Ryker is too desperate to get whatever he wants, and he is willing to remove anything or anyone that stands in his way.”“And that is exactly how I am going to finish him,” Mr Khan d

  • Liam's Gratitude, Khan's Pain

" That's very sad,” Liam said, his voice laced with concern and worry. He gazed at Mr Khan with pity and then added," Ryker has really done a lot of bad things for people. He has killed many breadwinners while a lot of families have become poor just because of him”." He has done worse than that,” Mr Khan responded, as he moved his hands towards the picture of his father. Rubbing his hands on it gently, a gentle smile crisped on his face before he muttered," My father, I promise you that I'm going to kill Ryker with my hands. And I won't stop there. I will see his business crumble to the ground”.“ I really miss my father .My father was a very good man to the core. When I was young, my father would take me and my sisters to the riverbank. He would skip across the water, challenging us to beat his record and then laugh so hard when our pebbles sink immediately. At night, he would light an oil lamp, gather us in the sitting room and start telling us stories of brave heroes and clever fo

"That's good. We are eager to listen to it," Liam muttered, his voice barely above a whisper. He took a step forward, gently placing his hand on the table.” What really happened between you and Ryker that makes you hate him so much?".Mr Khan signed heavily, as he gently put his hands inside his pocket. Turning his back on Liam and Lily, he gazed at the pinned pictures on the wall, a cruel smile crisping at the corner of his lips. He took out his right hand from his pocket and pointed at one of the pictures in front of him.“ That's my dad," He said, a gentle smile crisping at the corner of his lips. " He was a very respected man when he was alive. He was a manager of one of Cassius’s companies before he died”." How did he die?” Liam asked, his voice laced with concern and worry. " Who killed him?”." Ryker of course,” Mr Khan responded, his voice laced with sadness." He was on a business trip with Cassius when Ryker bombed the plane. I even did video call with him and I saw the whol

  • The Root Of Enmity

He paused for a moment, a faint, gentle smile forming at the corner of his lips. As he was about to continue what he was saying, Liam interrupted.“But… What if he refuses to send the money unless his men find his son?I mean if he's hell bent on sending the money to us to release BlackHood, ” Liam muttered, his voice filled with concern and worry as his eyes shifted nervously. “We all know Ryker is stubborn to the core. He always does whatever he wants and he's too dependent on his men. And at the same time, he's very certain that we can't kill BlackHood”.At those words, a faint glimmer of amusement touched Mr Khan’s face. He leaned back slightly, humming slowly.“Who says I can’t kill him?” he asked quietly, slowly folding his hands together. . “Who told you such a thing? I have been targeting Ryker for over two years now and I have finally got a way to get what I want. I can kill his son and he will do nothing to it”.Liam’s brows drew together in confusion. He quickly muttered, hi

  • The Stubborn King

He paused for a while and inhaled sharply before continuing what he was saying.“The formal empire of their city threatened to close my oil company and seize it. He told me that he's going to erase me from history and ensure I lose every single thing I have accumulated," he said. “But it's just funny and ironic to say that he's the one who's forgotten now. I'm Ryker and I control this city. No one can stop me from achieving what I want.”As he finished talking, the caller burst into a cruel, mocking laughter.“I do wonder if you have got yourself a new teacher who teaches you how to eulogize yourself this much,” he muttered, his laughter still audible under his voice. “You already have my words and I have challenged you. Use all your power, influence, and connections to locate your son if you can. But if you fail to do so, I will stick to my word and start cutting him piece by piece.”“You will never dare do such to the son of the biggest oil company in this city,” Ryker scoffed, yell
