Outside the hospital’s main entrance, the setting sun reflected off the shiny black Obsidian Lynx. Antonio and Cynthia got into the sleek car and the engine started with a soft growl that echoed through the courtyard.

From an office window above, Florence stood watching.

Her arms were crossed, her expression unreadable, but her gaze followed the car until it turned onto the main road and disappeared into the golden haze of twilight.

Down below, Dennis watched them too.

But his stare was poison instead of quiet admiration.

Antonio had humiliated him—publicly and without mercy.

First, by stepping in to save the girl right in front of everyone.

Then by having Cynthia’s unwavering trust, even after Dennis’s every warning. And now… the man was driving off beside the very woman Dennis had quietly admired for years.
