Reluctantly, Antonio released his grip, sliding the microphone from his palm and adjusting it to his height. A hush swept across the hall, broken only by a few stifled chuckles and murmurs of derision.“Look at the novice,” someone whispered from the back. “Does he actually think he can lecture professors?”A ripple of laughter moved through the room.“Let’s hear what the glorified errand boy has to say,” another scoffed, his tone dripping with mockery.Antonio caught their eyes but ignored the barbs. A disease that has defied every cure, every protocol, every experimental drug we have thrown at it. One that continues to claim lives while our textbooks and clinical guidelines offer little more than temporary relief.”The murmurs quieted. Even the m

He asked me to hand it over personally.”Antonio frowned. Charles had been with his family since before he was born. If he had sent something now, it was bound to be important. He collected the parcel and dismissed the deliveryman with a nod of thanks. He carried the box back inside curiously, and carefully, he tore open the wrapping and found a note. The handwriting was delicate, familiar, and yet painful to see again—it belonged to his late mother.“My dear Antonio, if you are reading this, then it means time has finally led you here. I left this box for you, for the day when you would be ready. Inside lies not just heirlooms, but your d
