GALE'S HOUSE

The crystal glass hit the wall with a sharp crack, shattering into a hundred glittering fragments that scattered across the floor.

The sound echoed through the large living room, followed almost immediately by the low, guttural growl that tore from Gale’s throat.

His chest rose and fell rapidly as he stood there, his hands clenched into fists at his sides, his shoulders trembling with fury he could no longer contain.

He didn’t want to contain it. Why should he? He had been humiliated, stripped of what was his, robbed in a way that made every nerve in his body scream.

“Damn him!” Gale bellowed suddenly, his voice booming so loudly. His hand shot out, and with a roar he slammed his fist against the wall. The impact was so strong that the wood groaned beneath the force. Pain shot up his arm.

But Gale didn’t even look at his injured hand. His mind was consumed. His fury was the only thing he could feel.

Across the room, Damian sat slouched in a chair, his elbows on his kne

LISA'S HOUSE The heavy slam of the door rattled through the walls as Benjamin stormed into Lisa’s living room. His face was red with rage, his jaw tight, his chest rising and falling as though he had run a long distance. But it wasn’t exhaustion that shook him—it was fury boiling deep within him.Lisa, who had been curled up on the couch with a glass of water, jumped at the sound of the door. She turned, startled, and her eyes immediately caught the storm in Benjamin’s eyes. Her heart skipped a beat.“Benjamin?” she asked nervously, setting her glass down quickly. “What—what’s the matter with you?”He stopped only a few feet away from her, his glare fixed on her as if his eyes alone could burn her to ashes. He didn’t answer immediately. Instead, he paced the room, running a hand over his face, muttering under his breath words she couldn’t catch. Every movement radiated raw anger. Finally, he turned sharply, his oice booming. “You knew!”Lisa blinked rapidly, confused and uneasy. “K

BENJAMIN'S HOUSEThe clang of metal echoed through the private gym, bouncing off the walls. Benjamin’s arms flexed as he slammed the dumbbells back into their rack, his chest heaving, his forehead glistening with sweat. His jaw was tight, his expression one of rage. The men he had sent out had returned only minutes earlier, reporting the same pathetic excuse he had heard a dozen times already.“We couldn’t find him, boss.”Benjamin had nearly thrown a weight plate at them out of pure frustration. Instead, he chose to drown his fury in raw exercise, trying to burn the anger out of his system with sheer force. His muscles screamed, but the fire in his chest only grew.“That bastard,” he muttered between clenched teeth, his voice hoarse with anger. “Always one step ahead. Always slipping through my fingers.”He gripped the barbell, veins bulging in his arms as he lifted it above his chest and pushed up. His breaths came out sharp, more like growls than exhales. He was so focused on his

LISA'S HOUSE Lisa lay sprawled across the couch, one arm draped lazily over the armrest, the other holding the remote control as though it were the only thing keeping her occupied. The room was silent except for the sound of the television and the occasional sigh she let out.“This is so frustrating,” Lisa groaned loudly, throwing her head back against the couch as though the very act of breathing in that house was suffocating her.She flicked from one channel to another, her expression bored. Cooking shows, reruns of dramas she had already watched twice, a cartoon channel that didn’t interest her in the slightest—it was all the same. Nothing could hold her attention.“This is ridiculous,” she muttered, pressing another button. “There’s absolutely nothing worth watching these days. It’s all boring. Completely boring.”She tossed her head back against the couch cushions and groaned. “Day after day, it’s the same thing—nothing to do, nowhere to go. Benjamin locks me up here like I’m so

GALE'S HOUSE Laura stormed out of the spa with her heels clicking furiously against the tiles. The attendants called after her, confused, but she didn’t even glance back. Camilla rushed behind her, clutching her bag as she tried to keep up.“Laura, wait! What about the session? We—”Laura spun around suddenly, her eyes blazing. “Forget the session! Forget the spa! I can’t sit there pretending to relax while the entire world is talking about this. I need to go home. I need to talk to Gale. I need to—” Her words cut off in a sharp breath, her chest heaving. “I’ll talk to you later, Camilla. Just—later.”Camilla hesitated, clearly worried, but she nodded. “Alright. Call me when you’ve calmed down.”But Laura wasn’t listening anymore. She had already turned on her heel, striding toward her car.The drive home felt endless. Her fingers tightened around the steering wheel, her nails digging into her palms. Every time she blinked, she saw Scott’s face in her mind declaring to the world that

GALE'S HOUSE Laura sat in her living room, legs crossed and hands fidgeting restlessly. She had already been pacing around the house for hours before finally forcing herself to sit down. Her jaw was tight, her eyes narrowed, and every once in a while she would mutter under her breath, as though replaying the same grievances again and again in her head.It had been a while since the disaster— since Scott, of all people, had walked away with the company that she and Gale had fought to control, since the humiliation of watching everything crumble right in front of her. And the anger had not lessened in the slightest. When she couldn’t bear the silence anymore, she had reached for her phone and called Camilla. If she stayed alone another minute, she felt she would explode.“Camilla, come over,” Laura had said. “I can’t stay here staring at these walls. Let’s go out, let’s go shopping, let’s do something. Anything. I need to get out before I lose my mind.”Camilla had agreed without hesi

Scott stepped out of the car with Cara just behind him. The moment his shoes touched the ground, the air shifted. In less than a heartbeat, the quiet outside the company’s gates erupted into noise, movement, and flashing lights. The press, who had been waiting restlessly for his arrival, surged forward as though on cue. Cameras clicked and flashed so violently it was almost blinding, microphones were shoved toward his face from every direction, and voices rose in a chaotic chorus of questions all shouted at once.“Sir, sir! Are you really the new CEO of Harrington Dynamics?”“What’s your relationship with the Harringtons?”“Why did Gale Harrington give up his position so suddenly?”“Is it true the Harringtons were forced out?”“Were you the original owner of Harrington Dynamics before Gale took over?”“Is it true the company was stolen from you years ago?”“How exactly did you get the company back? Was it a legal settlement, or did you use other means?”“People are saying Gale signed
