Julian was falling too fast.
The wind roared in his ears like a furious monster. Above him, the glowing blue spatial rift snapped shut, plunging him into a dark, heavy sky. Below him, the ground was rushing up to meet him.
He was thousands of feet in the air. If he hit the ground at this speed, he would be crushed into powder.
"Think!" Julian shouted to himself, forcing his eyes open against the freezing wind.
He reached inside his chest, searching for his new magic. His shattered Mana Core responded instantly. The black and gold energy flooded his veins. He remembered how he had transferred the heavy weight of the Drake’s tail strike into the Alpha Wolf. Weight was just a rule. Gravity was just a rule. And as a Sovereign, he could change the rules.
Julian pointed his hands straight down at the rapidly approaching ground.
"Command!" Julian yelled, using all his focus. "Gravity Inversion!"
A massive circle of golden light appeared in the air directly below him. As Julian crashed through the glowing circle, the terrible pull of gravity suddenly stopped. It felt like he had jumped into a deep pool of thick water. His falling speed slowed down rapidly. He drifted the last fifty feet, floating gently like a feather, until his boots touched the solid stone ground.
Julian fell to his knees, gasping for air. His whole body shook from the adrenaline. He had survived.
Slowly, he stood up and looked around. The sight before him took his breath away.
He was standing in the Ruined God Capital.
It was perfectly silent. There was no wind, no animals, and no monsters. The air was thick and heavy, making it hard to breathe. Everything was bathed in a pale, ghostly white light that came from nowhere.
Giant pillars of white marble, as wide as city blocks, reached up toward the dark sky. Most of them were broken in half. Huge statues of strange, beautiful beings lay crumbled on the ground, overgrown with silver, glowing moss. Massive swords, some the size of skyscrapers, were stabbed deep into the earth.
This was a place that had died thousands of years ago. It was beautiful, but it was terrifying.
Julian began to walk. The heavy silence made his own footsteps sound like loud drumbeats. He needed to find a way out. He needed a portal or a teleportation circle back to the surface world.
As he walked through the giant ruins, he felt a strange, pulling sensation in his chest. His new Sovereign core was reacting to something nearby. It felt like a magnet pulling him forward.
Julian followed the feeling. He climbed over a pile of broken white stones and stepped into what looked like a massive throne room.
At the end of the room, sitting on a giant chair made of black crystal, was a dead deity.
The being was at least thirty feet tall. It had perfect, silver skin that did not look decayed at all. It wore armor made of pure starlight. Its eyes were closed, and a massive hole was punched straight through its chest, showing that it had been killed in a great war long ago.
Even though it was dead, the aura coming from the god was crushing. Julian felt like a heavy weight was pressing down on his shoulders. His knees wanted to bend. His body wanted to bow.
But Julian forced himself to stand straight. He refused to bow.
He looked closer. In the dead god’s giant right hand, it held a small, glowing object. It was a crystal square, no larger than Julian’s palm. It pulsed with a warm, rainbow-colored light.
Julian knew what it was immediately. He had seen pictures of them in his academy textbooks.
It was a Guild Foundation Token.
In this world, to legally form a Guild and build a team, you needed a Token. Normal people bought bronze or silver tokens from the government. But this... this was a Divine-tier Token. It was an ancient artifact that could grant a guild unimaginable power, land, and authority. It was priceless.
"This is my ticket," Julian whispered. "This is how I fight back."
He slowly walked up the black crystal steps toward the dead god. The heavy pressure increased with every step. Julian’s bones creaked. Sweat dripped down his face. But he kept pushing forward.
Finally, he reached the god’s hand. He reached out and grabbed the glowing crystal Token.
The moment his fingers touched it, the silent room exploded into chaos.
The dead god’s hand did not move, but the ancient magic protecting it woke up. Bright, burning chains made of white fire shot out of the floor. They wrapped tightly around Julian’s arms and legs, locking him in place.
A loud, booming voice echoed in Julian’s mind.
[MORTAL TRASH. YOU DARE STEAL FROM THE DIVINE? KNEEL AND BE TURNED TO ASH.]
The white fire started to burn Julian’s skin. It was a divine trap, meant to instantly destroy anyone who touched the god's treasure.
Julian gritted his teeth. The pain was terrible, but after surviving the Aura of Burden for three years, he knew how to handle pain.
"I am done kneeling," Julian growled.
He pulled on his Sovereign core. The black and gold energy exploded out of his body. It clashed violently with the god’s white fire.
"I don't care if you are a god," Julian shouted, his eyes glowing bright gold. "You are dead! I am alive! Authority: Subjugate!"
Julian sent his will directly into the ancient magical chains. He did not try to break them; he commanded them to obey him. His Sovereign mana acted like a virus, overriding the ancient system. The black and gold energy swallowed the white fire.
The booming voice in his head let out a confused, mechanical sound.
[ERROR... OVERRIDE ACCEPTED. NEW MASTER RECOGNIZED.]
The chains shattered into harmless sparks of light.
Julian stood free, breathing heavily. The Divine Token in his hand stopped burning and settled into a warm, comforting glow. He had done it.
Directly behind the throne, the floor lit up. A circle of runes began to spin, creating a blue pillar of light. It was a teleportation circle, activated by his new ownership of the Token.
Julian did not waste a single second. He gripped the Token tightly, stepped into the blue light, and left the Ruined God Capital behind.
Julian materialized in a dark, wet alleyway. The smell of rain, cheap street food, and ozone filled his nose. He heard the loud hum of flying magical cars above him.
He stepped out of the alley and looked around. He was back in Heavenfall City, the giant metropolis built on floating islands of rock. It was nighttime. The streets were filled with people, neon signs, and glowing magical streetlamps.

Chapter 10
Two gladiators charged at her from both sides. One held twin swords, the other held a spiked chain. Aria smiled. It was the first time she had smiled in years. Without the fear of killing her allies, her mind was totally clear. She could finally use her legendary class exactly how it was meant to be used. She dashed forward, leaving a trail of crimson light in the air. She slid under the swinging spiked chain, popping up directly in front of the man holding it. She grabbed his armor and threw him effortlessly over her shoulder, sending him crashing into the man with the twin swords. Both men tangled together and fell into the dirt in a pile of broken armor. Aria did not stab them. She did not cut their heads off. She simply stepped hard on their hands, crushing their fingers enough to make them drop their weapons. They groaned in pain, unable to fight back. Only Victor Kelly and one other gladiator were left. The fourth gladiator took one look at his defeated friends, dropped his

Aria stared at Julian’s hand as if it were a poisonous snake. She was bleeding, beaten, and covered in the dirty sand of the Blood Pit. The heavy, rusty broadsword was stabbed into the ground right next to her. The gold and black chain of light connected Julian’s chest to her heart, pulsing with a strange, warm energy. "Don't do this," Aria whispered, her voice shaking with fear. She tried to crawl backward, away from him. "You don't understand my curse! The moment I pick up a weapon, my core turns on. It will pull the life right out of your veins. You will dry up like a dead leaf. I don't want to kill you!"Julian did not move his hand away. His golden eyes were completely calm. Behind Julian, the giant gladiator, Victor Kelly, was struggling. The crushing gravity magic Julian had used on him was starting to fade. Victor let out a furious roar and smashed a red magical crystal on his belt. A wave of berserker energy washed over him, breaking Julian’s spell. Victor stood up, his fa
Chapter 8
A drunk man standing next to Julian heard him and laughed. "You don't know the Cursed Valkyrie? Her magic is broken, kid! The Blood Valkyrie class is supposed to use the energy of her teammates to make her stronger. But her core is twisted. If she swings that sword, she completely drains the life force of whoever is attached to her! She sucks them dry until they die! She’s killed three of her own teammates before!"Julian’s eyes widened. He understood immediately. Aria had a class that made her a god of war, but it required human batteries. She was a pariah. A cursed outcast. No team would ever take her because fighting beside her meant dying. "And tonight," the Arena Master laughed into the microphone, "she is facing five of our best elite gladiators! If she wants to live, she has to fight! And if she fights, she will drain those five slaves to death! Let’s see what she chooses!"The crowd went completely wild. They loved this sick game. On the opposite side of the arena, five mas

The morning after Julian crashed the live television broadcast, he thought the world would be on his side. He thought the truth would set him free. He was completely wrong. Julian stood in the bright, clean courtyard of the Heavenfall Guardian Academy. This was the place where young fighters went to join official Guilds. Julian stood perfectly straight, wearing a cheap but clean black jacket. In his hand, he held a wooden sign that read: “NEW GUILD RECRUITING. ALL CLASSES WELCOME.”A group of heavily armored students walked past him. They pointed at him and burst out laughing. "Look, it's the crazy guy from the TV!" one of the students, a tall boy with a fire staff, sneered. "Hey, Julian! Are you going to heal us to death?"Julian did not say a word. He just watched them walk away. Overnight, the Golden Sands Guild had used their massive wealth to completely change the story. They told the newspapers that Julian was a traumatized, broken boy who had lost his mind during the boss fi
Chapter 6
Julian looked down at himself. He was a mess. His clothes were torn and covered in the dark blood of the Abyssal Drake and the Alpha Wolf. He was barefoot, dirty, and looked like a beggar. But he was alive. He started walking down the crowded sidewalk. People gave him weird looks and stepped out of his way, but no one tried to help him. Suddenly, Julian stopped. He was standing in the Central Plaza, the busiest part of the city. High above the plaza, attached to the side of a massive skyscraper, was a giant Crystal Broadcast Screen. It was the size of a football field, showing live television to the whole city. Julian stared at the screen. His blood ran cold. On the giant screen was Dominic Sullivan. Dominic was sitting on a comfortable white couch in a fancy television studio. He was wearing perfectly clean, expensive clothes. Caleb and Sophia sat quietly beside him. Across from them was a famous news reporter. "...and we are so sorry for your tragic loss, Captain Sullivan," th
