Julian looked down at himself. He was a mess. His clothes were torn and covered in the dark blood of the Abyssal Drake and the Alpha Wolf. He was barefoot, dirty, and looked like a beggar. But he was alive.

He started walking down the crowded sidewalk. People gave him weird looks and stepped out of his way, but no one tried to help him.

Suddenly, Julian stopped. He was standing in the Central Plaza, the busiest part of the city. High above the plaza, attached to the side of a massive skyscraper, was a giant Crystal Broadcast Screen. It was the size of a football field, showing live television to the whole city.

Julian stared at the screen. His blood ran cold.

On the giant screen was Dominic Sullivan.

Dominic was sitting on a comfortable white couch in a fancy television studio. He was wearing perfectly clean, expensive clothes. Caleb and Sophia sat quietly beside him. Across from them was a famous news reporter.

"...and we are so sorry for your tragic loss, Captain Sullivan," the reporter said, her voice filled with fake sympathy.

Dominic wiped a tear from his eye. He actually looked like he was crying.

"Thank you," Dominic said, his voice shaking perfectly. "Julian Carter was not just my team's Support. He was my brother. When the Abyssal Drake cornered us, we thought it was the end. But Julian... Julian pushed me out of the way. He took the monster's fire directly to save my life. He gave everything so we could survive."

Down in the plaza, the crowd of people watching the screen let out sounds of sadness. Some people wiped their own eyes.

Julian stood perfectly still, his fists clenching so hard his knuckles turned white.

"Because of his heroic sacrifice," Dominic continued, looking bravely into the camera, "we were able to defeat the beast. And I want to promise everyone watching... Julian’s death will not be in vain. The Silvermoon Vanguard is officially signing a master contract with the Golden Sands Guild! We will honor Julian's memory by winning the National Championship!"

The screen showed a wealthy-looking man in a gold suit shaking Dominic’s hand. The crowd in the plaza cheered loudly.

Julian felt a wave of absolute disgust wash over him.

It was a perfect lie. Dominic was using Julian’s fake death to make himself look like a tragic, heroic leader. He was using Julian’s blood to secure millions of dollars and a top-tier sponsorship. Sophia just sat there, looking sad for the camera, going along with the lie.

Julian wanted to scream. He wanted to raise his hand, cast a spell, and blow up the screen. He wanted to march over to the Golden Sands Guild and rip Dominic’s head off.

But his new mind, clear and sharp, stopped him.

If Julian just attacked Dominic in the street, what would happen? Dominic was now backed by a massive, wealthy guild. Julian would be labeled a crazy, jealous monster. The guards would arrest him or kill him. Society in Heavenfall City did not care about the truth; they only respected official power. They only respected Guilds.

Julian looked down at his hand. He was still holding the Divine Guild Token.

“You want to play the Guild game, Dominic?” Julian thought, a cold, dangerous smile spreading across his bloody face. “Fine. I'll play. But I'm going to take everything from you first. I'm going to destroy your team, your fame, and your money.”

Julian noticed a small sign at the bottom of the giant screen. It said: “LIVE STREAM - STUDIO 4 - STARLIGHT BUILDING.”

Julian looked across the plaza. The Starlight Building was right there, just two blocks away. He didn't need to attack blindly. But he did need to ruin Dominic's perfect moment.

Julian walked straight across the street, ignoring the magical cars honking at him. He pushed past the crowds. He marched right through the front glass doors of the Starlight Building.

Two heavily armored security guards stepped in his way.

"Hey, kid! You can't be in here! Get out before I—"

Julian didn't even stop walking. He simply looked at the guards and released a tiny fraction of his Sovereign's Authority.

The air around Julian grew incredibly heavy. The two guards froze. Their eyes went wide with sudden terror. Their bodies felt like they weighed a thousand pounds. They could not lift their arms. They could not speak. They could only watch as the bloody, terrifying teenager walked right past them and headed for the elevator.

Julian rode the elevator up to the fourth floor.

He stepped out into a quiet, carpeted hallway. At the end of the hall were two massive wooden doors with a red glowing sign above them that read: ON AIR.

Inside the studio, Dominic was still talking. "...Julian was a shining light in the dark. I will never forget him."

Julian walked up to the heavy wooden doors. He didn't bother using the handle. He raised his foot and kicked the doors with all his strength.

The massive doors exploded inward, breaking off their hinges and slamming against the walls of the studio. The loud noise echoed across the entire live broadcast.

Inside the studio, the reporter screamed. The cameramen jumped back.

Dominic, Caleb, and Sophia spun around in their seats, their faces turning completely white.

The magical cameras automatically zoomed in on the doorway, broadcasting the image to millions of people across Heavenfall City.

Julian stood in the doorway. He looked like a demon rising from hell. His clothes were shredded and soaked in dark monster blood. The dirt of the ruined capital covered his face. But his eyes... his eyes were glowing with a brilliant, terrifying gold light.

The silence in the studio was absolute. No one breathed.

Sophia covered her mouth, tears of real shock welling in her eyes. Caleb took a step back, his knees shaking.

Dominic sat frozen on the white couch, his mouth hanging open. He looked like he had seen a ghost.

Julian stepped into the bright studio lights. He looked directly into the camera, and then he looked dead into Dominic’s terrified eyes.

"I'm alive," Julian said. His voice was calm, but it echoed with sovereign power, ringing through every television in the city. He pointed a bloody finger directly at Dominic. "And I am coming for everything you own."

Two gladiators charged at her from both sides. One held twin swords, the other held a spiked chain. Aria smiled. It was the first time she had smiled in years. Without the fear of killing her allies, her mind was totally clear. She could finally use her legendary class exactly how it was meant to be used. She dashed forward, leaving a trail of crimson light in the air. She slid under the swinging spiked chain, popping up directly in front of the man holding it. She grabbed his armor and threw him effortlessly over her shoulder, sending him crashing into the man with the twin swords. Both men tangled together and fell into the dirt in a pile of broken armor. Aria did not stab them. She did not cut their heads off. She simply stepped hard on their hands, crushing their fingers enough to make them drop their weapons. They groaned in pain, unable to fight back. Only Victor Kelly and one other gladiator were left. The fourth gladiator took one look at his defeated friends, dropped his

Aria stared at Julian’s hand as if it were a poisonous snake. She was bleeding, beaten, and covered in the dirty sand of the Blood Pit. The heavy, rusty broadsword was stabbed into the ground right next to her. The gold and black chain of light connected Julian’s chest to her heart, pulsing with a strange, warm energy. "Don't do this," Aria whispered, her voice shaking with fear. She tried to crawl backward, away from him. "You don't understand my curse! The moment I pick up a weapon, my core turns on. It will pull the life right out of your veins. You will dry up like a dead leaf. I don't want to kill you!"Julian did not move his hand away. His golden eyes were completely calm. Behind Julian, the giant gladiator, Victor Kelly, was struggling. The crushing gravity magic Julian had used on him was starting to fade. Victor let out a furious roar and smashed a red magical crystal on his belt. A wave of berserker energy washed over him, breaking Julian’s spell. Victor stood up, his fa

A drunk man standing next to Julian heard him and laughed. "You don't know the Cursed Valkyrie? Her magic is broken, kid! The Blood Valkyrie class is supposed to use the energy of her teammates to make her stronger. But her core is twisted. If she swings that sword, she completely drains the life force of whoever is attached to her! She sucks them dry until they die! She’s killed three of her own teammates before!"Julian’s eyes widened. He understood immediately. Aria had a class that made her a god of war, but it required human batteries. She was a pariah. A cursed outcast. No team would ever take her because fighting beside her meant dying. "And tonight," the Arena Master laughed into the microphone, "she is facing five of our best elite gladiators! If she wants to live, she has to fight! And if she fights, she will drain those five slaves to death! Let’s see what she chooses!"The crowd went completely wild. They loved this sick game. On the opposite side of the arena, five mas

The morning after Julian crashed the live television broadcast, he thought the world would be on his side. He thought the truth would set him free. He was completely wrong. Julian stood in the bright, clean courtyard of the Heavenfall Guardian Academy. This was the place where young fighters went to join official Guilds. Julian stood perfectly straight, wearing a cheap but clean black jacket. In his hand, he held a wooden sign that read: “NEW GUILD RECRUITING. ALL CLASSES WELCOME.”A group of heavily armored students walked past him. They pointed at him and burst out laughing. "Look, it's the crazy guy from the TV!" one of the students, a tall boy with a fire staff, sneered. "Hey, Julian! Are you going to heal us to death?"Julian did not say a word. He just watched them walk away. Overnight, the Golden Sands Guild had used their massive wealth to completely change the story. They told the newspapers that Julian was a traumatized, broken boy who had lost his mind during the boss fi

Julian was falling too fast. The wind roared in his ears like a furious monster. Above him, the glowing blue spatial rift snapped shut, plunging him into a dark, heavy sky. Below him, the ground was rushing up to meet him. He was thousands of feet in the air. If he hit the ground at this speed, he would be crushed into powder. "Think!" Julian shouted to himself, forcing his eyes open against the freezing wind. He reached inside his chest, searching for his new magic. His shattered Mana Core responded instantly. The black and gold energy flooded his veins. He remembered how he had transferred the heavy weight of the Drake’s tail strike into the Alpha Wolf. Weight was just a rule. Gravity was just a rule. And as a Sovereign, he could change the rules. Julian pointed his hands straight down at the rapidly approaching ground. "Command!" Julian yelled, using all his focus. "Gravity Inversion!"A massive circle of golden light appeared in the air directly below him. As Julian crashed
