Chapter 8: "Who are you?"

Lu Zhen was asking for the impossible from these elders. Submitting to him meant that they had to follow all his instructions to the latter. If he told them to kill themselves, they'd have to oblige and if he told them to slaughter  everyone, they'd still have to oblige. They would in fact be Lu Zhen's pawns that he'd use as he wishes. 

"Can you give us credibility of how you plan to accomplish all of this. " one of the elders spoke. "Credibility? I have none. " Lu Zhen said with a carefree expression. Now, the elders looked at him like they were really looking at a crazy person. " Lu Zhen, how can we submit to you when you yourself can't convince us?" another elder asked. All the elders nodded. 

"I don't know." his reply was again not convincing. "Then can you show us that which makes you confident that you'll lead us to prosperity." yet another elder spoke. "That's simple." Lu Zhen said as he looked at them. "KNEEL!" he said. All the elders except for the Patriarch got off their chairs and knelt on the floor. The Patriarch's eyes nearly popped out of his sockets. 

The proud elders held knelt on the floor without resistance simply because they were told to. Moments later, the elders came back to their senses only to find themselves kneeling on the floor. They thought back to when Lu Zhen told them to kneel. 

Their backs as well as the Patriarch's grew cold and drenched with sweat. They thought to themselves 'What if he told us to kill ourselves.' They all looked at Lu Zhen with grim expressions and they couldn't help but ask "Who are you? " Lu Zhen looked at them as he smiled at them, " HAHAHA. Who else would I be if not...Lu Zhen! " confidently said Lu Zhen. 

"I am willing to submit." the person who spoke wasn't the elders but the Patriarch, he then knelt,slammed his head on the floor and shouted "I greet the Young Master!" Seeing this, everyone followed suit, "We are willing to submit. We greet the Young Master!" 

Seeing this, Lu Zhen glowed with a golden colour for a split second before reverting back to normal. 

"Stand. Since you all have submitted, I won't mistreat you. I'll award Uncle Hung since he was the first to submit." Lu Zhen then pointed to Uncle Hung's glabella. A golden light struck his glabella. "I have gifted you a Man grade cultivation technique. With it, you will be able to reach the Soul Condensing Realm in a month and you will eventually reach the peak of this world's cultivation."

Everyone was flabbergasted by Lu Zhen's words as they only knew that Cultivation techniques as well as Battle techniques were graded from low to Earth grade. They never heard of a Heaven cultivation technique. 

"There exist Cultivation techniques that are extremely potent and terrifying. I'm going to talk about the cultivation techniques that are beyond this world's capabilities. I have cultivation techniques that can help you absorb more Qi and quickly advance in your cultivation but they are trash in my eyes. But I'm sure to you they are priceless treasures. With them, you'll all stand at the peak of this world, becoming its absolute rulers. These cultivation techniques will increase your cultivation without your foundation being damaged." the elders as well as Uncle Hung's eyes glowed with anticipation. 

"Everyone else will be awarded tomorrow with a Heaven grade cultivation technique but you have to keep quiet about it unless you are of course courting death. Dismissed!" all the elders left except for Uncle Hung. 

"Uncle Hung, there's something I have to tell you." Lu Zhen then explained how the old Lu Zhen killed himself and how he took over his body, he of course didn't mention anything about his life and only told him that he was a higher being. "I see. Thank you for still considering me your uncle even though you're no longer my nephew." said Uncle Hung. 

"How can it be uncle, I am Lu Zhen after all and you're my uncle. I won't repay kindness with enmity." Uncle Hung smiled after hearing Lu Zhen's words.

Lu Zhen sat crossed legged in his bed. "It's time to lay my foundation. I never thought I'd have a human body that has completely assimilated with me. I wonder how 'they' will react after knowing that I now have a Heaven's  Blessed body. " 

The human body was referred to as the Heavens Blessed body since they were the only species that could adapt to any living environment and were the only species who were capable of overturning the heavens. The human body is filled with secrets that if unearthed, they'd shock the whole universe and its cultivators.

Lu Zhen then spewed seven golden orbs that contained a large amount of energy.

'With these, I'll lay the strongest foundation that has ever existed. This time, I'll reach unimaginable heights in my cultivation."

Lu Zhen looked at  the orbs with fervent eyes. 

Laying the foundation is most important when it comes to cultivation as it determines how far you'll go in your cultivation and if it's not solid enough. You'll stop advancing somewhere along the line or become a cripple. 

Lu Zhen then swallowed all seven orbs at the same time and started refining them. The energy within was so boundless that even a person at the peak of Qi Purification Realm would explode to his death. And Lu Zhen was refining all seven with his mortal body. 

The energy was dispersed in Lu Zhen's whole body and veins started popping all over Lu Zhen's body. Spiritual Qi in the surroundings started gathering around Lu Zhen's body and created a cocoon that enveloped Lu Zhen's whole body within it.

The elders noticed this but when they saw where it was going, they kept quiet. Everyone as well as Uncle Hung had to stop cultivating because all the Spiritual Qi was gathering in Lu Zhen's courtyard and the elders announced for Lu Zhen to not be disturbed.
