It felt as if there was some kind of space shift, something that kept returning them to where they began. The thought was terrifying. No one spoke. They simply stared at one another, weighed down by frustration and uncertainty, with no idea what to do next.

Logan looked down before his expression changed."What is it?" Dinna asked.Logan looked toward Micheal."We found them."The room instantly became quiet."What?""The hostages."Micheal stepped forward."Where?"Logan quickly transmitted the coordinates."They were spotted less than fifteen minutes ago."Micheal's eyes narrowed.Without hesitation he changed directions."We move now.”Saving their members came before everything else. The entire group immediately left Green Winners headquarters and rushed toward the location.Their speed was astonishing.Several of them used movement skills while others followed close behind.Within minutes they arrived. The location was an abandoned factory hidden deep within one of Elyria's older districts. The place was silent though. The moment Micheal landed, a bad feeling appeared in his chest.Nobody spoke as they entered. The large metal doors had already been left open. The deeper they walked inside, the uglier everyone's expressions became.

  • 150. CONSPIRACY.

"Let's go inside."A few minutes later, everyone sat inside one of the meeting rooms.Micheal explained everything from the beginning. The attacks, the deaths, the missing members, the warehouse and the possibility of a traitor.By the time he finished speaking, the room had become quiet.Aina frowned.Kaida's expression had also grown cold.Kelvin, however, seemed to be thinking about something else. His face was unusually serious.Micheal noticed it."You know something."Kelvin looked up."I know what's happening."Everyone immediately focused on him.Kelvin leaned back slightly."The people behind this aren't trying to destroy Green Winners.""Then what do they want?" Gina asked.Kelvin looked at Micheal."They want a war."But Micheal knew this already. The room became silent and Micheal didn't interrupt him. "Think about it. Green Winners is one of the fastest growing human guilds right now. Your reputation is high, your influence is growing, and your members are becoming stro

  • 149. BETRAYAL.

The Dark Legion moved through Elyria's city eastern district shortly after midnight. The area was mostly abandoned. Broken buildings stood in silence beneath the moonlight and very few people came here unless they had a reason to.Micheal walked at the front while Dinna, Logan, and more than twenty members of the Dark Legion followed behind him.Nobody spoke. The deeper they moved into the district, the more obvious it became that something was wrong. It was too quiet. The warehouse soon came into view.A faded black snake had been painted on one side of the building. The symbol matched the survivor's description perfectly.Dinna immediately stepped forward and pushed open the large metal doors. The entire group rushed inside.Only to stop. The warehouse was empty.Micheal slowly looked around. There were signs that people had been there recently.Several chains hung from support pillars. There were blood stains in several corners. One of the Dark Legion members soon found a Green Wi

  • 148. PLOTS

Micheal was very angry right now.The monsters were trying to use his guild as a spark to start a war.He had actually predicted that something like this might happen after the duel between Bella and Henry yesterday. The reason was simple. After Elyria had been opened to the outside human world, humanity had begun displaying terrifying talents one after another. The monsters hadn't expected what they were seeing. So many geniuses were appearing. Some were already known, while others seemed to emerge out of nowhere.Bella, Henry and even Micheal himself. And there were likely many more still hidden. If things continued this way, humanity would become a terrifying force in just a few years. That was exactly why the monsters were becoming uneasy. But what Micheal hadn't expected was that they would use Green Winners as a stepping stone and as a means to start a war.The thought alone made anger rise inside him.Yet his expression remained calm, but those closest to him knew that look.Wh
