Episode 6

Noah's Pov;

" dad" I called again - slowly. I looked at him to find his eyes were closed

I sighed and walked to the couch slowly - taking a sit beside him

"dad" I called, tapping him slowly

he didn't make any attempt to open his eyes as they were still shut

" dad" I called again

" what happened?" i asked not minding the fact that he wasn't replying me

" if I have the chance I would have..." he snapped up immediately and walked out on me,taking the stairs

to say I was shocked by his action was an understatement

God! what have I gotten myself into? how do I fix this?

I asked myself as I sulk into the chair

SOME DAYS LATER

it's been some days now after the incident and after Dad walked out on me in the sitting room. he hasn't spoken to me since then and this made me more scared

I didn't and couldn't tell what had happened or what was going on in his mind?

I hardly get to see him. he's hardly home and when he does, he goes straight to his room.

this was killing me...deeply

the news was all over the place - magazine, newspapers, social media; name it

I even find it hard going to school because it's always one incident or the other

there was a day I got to school to meet reporters all over the premises.good thing, I hadn't gotten down from the car yet

ever since that day, I had stopped going to school. what was the use anyway? and besides, the school has an online class so I can register in that

I was currently in my studio now working on a painting.

I've been working on this painting for weeks now and was yet to finish it

My Artworks exhibition was supposed to be in a few days time but it has been cancelled.

I can't even afford to go on social media because of the hateful and nasty comments..

my fans are so disappointed and angry. it would take a lot of time for sure to get them back - that's if I'll ever will

I heard a car drove in and dropped my paint brush immediately

I walked to the window and peeped to see who it was

dad! I was surprised to see him

how come he's home by this time?

I removed my apron and dropped it then. rushed out of the studio immediately

I didn't even know why I was running. not that he's gonna talk to me or reply to my greetings or anything I have to say

I alighted from the stairs and stood by the last handle

he walked in with that same aura of boldness and cold air

I think I got the latter from him.

I stared at him and he stares back but diverted his eyes as soon as he did..

he ignored my greetings and walked to the wine bar taking out a tequila and a glass

he walked back to the couch and sat down, opening the wine.he opened it and poured a large quantity into his glass, as he gulp  down most of it

I was actually surprised he was sitting in the living room

it used to be just his room, the garden or the bar

" get your things ready" his voice said - raucously

I was stunned he spoke to me, but somewhat excited

finally!!

he's no longer mad; all so I thought

a broad smile was  about to break out of my lips, when his last statement cut it off instantly

" you're leaving for New York" he dropped

my eyes came bulging out of their sockets

what???

Chelsea's pov;

I got to resume school on time and so far, the school has been amazing

I got to make a new friend - Beatrice. she's a really nice girl

don't worry you'll get to know her soon enough

right now, we were both sitting on my seat studying for an early English test we'll be having later in the day, when the spoilt rude brat - Mitchell- more like the school witch, as she was fondly called; walked in with her two friends whom I dont even care to know their names- not like they weren't important... they were, but not to me- maybe to some people

Mitchell walked in with her squad. all eyes turned to them immediately. they were always the centre of attraction

" look at her...show off" Beatrice said spitefully. I shrugged

she walked till she got to where he was - her boyfriend - Leo.

the cutest and richest guy in the whole of SKYLERS HIGH.

talk about a perfect couple - they suit eachother so well. rude, pompous, arrogant, overbearing attitude.

I watched as they kissed and wiggled my nose in disgust, or lemme say jealousy

yeah! jealousy

I have this really huge crush on Leo since I came into this School, but he never really notice anyone, all thanks to his stupid ego

they were both rich and influential.also, amongst the most popular kids in school if not the most popular

I heard he used to be a playboy and this brought a huge relief to my soul

perhaps, I stand a chance. as this saying goes ' once a playboy, always a playboy'

it won't kill to give it a try. after all, there's no law that states that snatching of boyfriends is a crime

" what are you thinking of?" Beatrice tapped me snapping me out of my thoughts

she wiggled her eyebrows at me giving me an indistinct look

" what was that?" she asked staring blankly at me

" what was what?" I asked back

" that...I was talking to you and you completely zoned out" she shrieked making a big deal out of it

Beatrice was such a character. she was the type that doesn't let go of things easily

" please bee, can we just study for this test in peace" I replied disinterestingly

she stared at me suspiciously and gulped down what she  wanted to say

I don't want her to know I have a crush on Leo - at least not yet

we continued studying for the test and were half way done when the class president - Mario; walked in, carrying heaps of books

Beatrice squealed when he walked in and tapped me softly

I rolled my eyes taking them away from him back to her

she has told him of her super huge crush on him

to be honest, Mario is one of the cutest guy In school and he sums it up with his smartness, and is actually the most intelligent guy in our class and to an extent - the entire school

" oh, yeah! your super crush. I get it. now can we go back to studying" I eyed Beatrice severally as she placed her palms underneath her jaw, staring dreamily at him. she was smiling sheepishly; and the funny thing was that she always acts like she hates him whenever he was around

yeah! he do comes to sit with us almost on a daily basis and they are always at each others neck - teasing and insulting themselves

I can't tell for sure if he likes her too, and I've asked her but she doesn't know also; but I know he takes pleasure in annoying her

they are always a sight to behold and always make me laugh

he walked in with the books and started distributing

he got to Beatrice and winked at her, flashing his dimples. she almost died of happiness but was quick to hold herself

I chuckled at her display of childishness

" I just hope you don't fantasize about that all day and forget what you've read then perform badly in the test" I chided, referring to the wink, even though I knew she would still do well, even without reading

I can say that's also one of the things they have in common

she glared at me making me laugh out loud

" bitch" she cursed under her breath

" I heard that" I replied and we both laughed

Mario finished distributing the notebooks just In time before the teacher walks in and the first lesson for the day began

break came quickly and i was so glad. Beatrice held my hands in hers as we both walked to the cafeteria

it was really huge. we placed our orders and carried them to a table

" so...how was the test" the book freak who happened to be my friend asked

I rolled my eyes and took a bite from my hamburger

" I knew you wouldn't answer" she smiled at me

" then why did you ask?" I said

" because I knew you wouldn't answer" she said and laughed and it took alot for me not to roll my eyes at her - again

soon, Mario walked to our table, holding his tray

he pulled out a chair and sat down

" whatsup girls" he waved at us, then dip his hand into Beatrice fries, took some and started chewing

I turned to look at Beatrice and her face had already gone sour

you don't wanna know what happened next
