102. Complacency and Defeat

Vin is naturally an arrogant person, often looking down on those he perceives as his prey.

He was not a virtuous or benevolent person like the heroic heroes in some heroic novels.

He himself realized that he was cruel and merciless, but all that kind of cruelty was extinguished once he faced Austin. As arrogant as he was and even if his arrogance was as vast as the ocean and as high as the sky, it was nothing in front of Austin Barnett.

He could still be a bit arbitrary in front of Luna and Finley, but it was a different matter when he faced Austin Barnett. All he could do was bow his head respectfully, because in his heart, in the hearts of all the members of the Night Squad, Austin was a true ruler with tremendous power in his hands.

There were only a few moments where the Night Squad could see Austin's power, and that was less than ten times. Austin rarely used his personal power, but once he got serious, even the Gods themselves couldn't stop him.

Vin looked at the small man who w
