Chapter 1: Poor Norman

At Dorhaven University, colorful flashes of light could be seen from the hall. Festive music and cheerful laughter could also be heard from there.

Norman on the other hand, started taking long strides towards the source of the sound. Please note that there is a birthday party being held for one of the most handsome and influential students at Dorhaven University; Alfred Delamo.

To create this event, Alfred spent almost a million dollars! Obviously for a second year student, that is a fantastic value! Apart from being handsome, Alfred is also very rich. It is natural that there are many women present at the party.

At this point, Norman had arrived at the back door of the hall. Of course, he came to this party not as a guest, but as a janitor!

Considering that all the students present were required to give gifts to Alfred, Norman of course didn't have the money to do that, and chose to be a janitor. Moreover, he will get 100 dollars for the work. It was clear that this was an opportunity for him to earn some extra money to buy his girlfriend a gift.

Then, Norman began to take long steps entering the back door.

Does this mean he's the only one who will clean up the whole mess?! Are you kidding?! You can be sure that this will be a very tiring job.

Norman could only sigh helplessly accepting this reality. Should he go back to his dorm and sleep? Doing this work alone was the same as courting his death!

However, remembering that his girlfriend seemed to really want a famous brand bag encouraged Norman's enthusiasm to flare again. He had to do it even if it meant making him collapse from exhaustion. Moreover, the exams were over and there was nothing that forced him to come to class every day.

After waiting there for a while, one of the female students came up to him and asked, "Are you the one who works as a janitor?!"

"Ah, that's right," replied Norman immediately.

"Then follow me. You have work to do!" she continued, before finally taking long steps in the opposite direction.

Norman then gave a nod of approval and began following the woman's back.

At this point, Norman is brought into the party area. There, he could see that there were many students present inside. It looked like the entire student body at Dorhaven University was present without exception. There is no doubt that Alfred's influence on Dorhaven University was extraordinary. He was able to invite so many students to attend his party.

However, as Norman took a step, he received many disgusted looks from the students who saw him. They seemed to be looking at beggar. This is all because of Norman's shabby and dirty appearance.

Of course, Norman doesn't mind that. As long as he completes this job and earns money, that is more than enough!

Please note that only Alice; Norman's girlfriend, who treated Norman well at Dorhaven University. Moreover, Norman came from a poor family, making him naturally receive a lot of insults.

Dorhaven University, known as a prestigious university, should not accommodate poor students like him, they said.

Luckily, Norman met Alice. Beautiful and friendly woman. They get to know each other after an unexpected meeting. Since then, Norman falls in love with Alice and tries to shoot her. And, who would have guessed that Norman accepted?

That's when Norman regained his enthusiasm to continue his studies despite the fact that there were many students who insulted him and wanted him to leave!

And, currently, Norman plans to buy Alice a famous brand bag as a gift. Even though Alice never asked him for it, he insisted on buying it and giving it to Alice!

However, when Norman continued to take steps following the woman's back, he found Alice with another man. And, what was more surprising than that was the fact that they were kissing passionately!

Of course, this succeeded in making Norman show an indescribable expression of disbelief. That made him naturally change his direction to where Alice and the man were.

Currently, the distance between them was only around five meters. And, Norman just realized that the man was Alfred!

What actually happened here?!

At this point, all Norman could do was be stunned. He couldn't believe what he was seeing!

On the other hand, after finishing kissing, Alice finally realized that Norman was watching her.

However, instead of showing guilt or something like that, Alice actually gave an evil smile towards Norman.

Of course, this made Norman couldn't help but ask, "What is the meaning of all this, Alice?!"

Hearing that, Alice smiled slyly before finally replying, "Looks like this is the right time for me to stop acting! You need to know that all this time I've only been using you, Norman. I just want you to help me get good grades! And, after I finally managed to get good grades, that means you're no longer useful!"

On the other hand, Alfred, who was right beside Alice, showed a disgusted expression, “Does this bastard think that you love him, Alice?! Does he know how low his status is?! How could he possibly conclude that you love each other?! What a ridiculous bastard!"

At this point, due to the commotion they caused, they became the center of attention. Moreover, Alfred was the main star at this party, so there were many students around him.

Hence, this naturally made them laugh at Norman. It is common knowledge that Alice is using Norman to get a good score on this exam.

However, who would have guessed that Norman would take the fake relationship seriously?! How ridiculous! Is he actually stupid?!

“Hey, be aware of your position, Bastard! Do you think you are worthy of Alice?! Stop dreaming, Bastard!" said one of the students to Norman.

Of course, that sentence succeeded in making all the students laugh out loud. This is such a good joke!

Norman on the other hand, was only able to show an expression of disbelief. It's all just an act?! Alice actually doesn't love me, and just wants to use me?!

Damn! How could I be this stupid?! How could I have been fooled by Alice?!

On the other hand, seeing that Norman was just silent with an expression of disbelief, Alfred spoke again while throwing a 100 dollar bill. Honestly, it's a bit of fun, "Now get out of my sight, bastard! Aren't you a janitor?! Now get on with your work and take the money as extra for entertaining me a little!"

Seeing what Alfred did, many of them laughed with satisfaction, while others were amazed. Alfred really is a great guy. He threw 100 dollars around like it meant nothing! Of course, this made them jealous of Alice for being Alfred's girlfriend.

Only Norman showed an angry face. It was clear that he had received so much humiliation! He seemed like a clown who was their entertainment and laughing stock!

Of course this made Norman very angry. His pride had been severely damaged. Hence, Norman replied in a cold tone, "I don't need that money! You can use it for yourself, or for the bitch next to you!"

Of course, what Norman said managed to shock everyone! Who would have thought that Norman would be so bold as to give such harsh words?!

This obviously made Alice very angry. She had done this bastard a favor. She pays enough attention, despite the fact that she is disgusted by it. However, this bastard wants something more than that?! What a disgusting bastard!

Hence, this made Alice unable to stop herself from saying in an angry tone, “See who you are, Bastard?! Do you think you're on the same level as me?! You're nothing more than a piece of trash in my eyes! Don't ever expect to get me! It disgusts me so much!"

Everyone gave a nod in agreement with what Alice said. She's right! Norman is just a goblin who hopes to get a beautiful royal princess! It was clear that they were on different levels!

Then, where did his confidence come from that he dared to insult a beautiful princess, when he was just a useless piece of trash?! This fact makes them look down on Norman even more!

On the other hand, Alfred also showed an angry expression. His girlfriend had just been insulted by useless trash! How could he not be angry with that?!

Therefore, Alfred gave a signal to his friends to hold Norman's hands. He will teach Norman a valuable lesson! Norman has to know where he stand!
