It wasn’t just any car.
It was a Porsche. A brand-new, sleek, matte-black Porsche with gold trim, now dented and smoking slightly from the back where his front bumper had slammed into it. Allen’s breath caught in his throat. His mind ran a thousand miles instantly in panic. He forgot he was no longer the poor and broke Allen and his palms began to sweat. “I’m dead,” he whispered to himself, panic rising fast. “How the hell am I supposed to pay for a Porsche?!” He stumbled out of his car, heart pounding, already rehearsing apologies. It was a slight dent and the small smoke was actually coming from his car. But still, his heart nearly jumped out of his chest. The driver of the expensive, sleek Porsche, stepped out furiously. “Are you blind?!” the man shouted, storming toward Allen. An escort SUV had been trailing behind the Porsche. Before he could blink, the car doors flew open, and three soldiers in full black suits jumped out. They rushed toward him and encircled him Their guns drawn at him "On your knees!" one of them barked. Allen’s hands shot up in the air as he backed up against his own car. “Wait, wait. I'm sorry! I didn’t mean to hit it! I swear! I-I can explain!” The lead bodyguard didn’t flinch. “Do you know what you just hit?!” one of them barked. “That car can buy your entire net worth! Do you want us to calculate it for you? I hope you have a fat trust fund to mend this for else you're done.” Allen gulped. He had completely forgotten who he was supposed to be now, a billionaire heir. All he felt was fear. “Sir, you’re coming with us,” one of them said, firm and cold. Allen swallowed hard and began to beg. They were about to arrest Allen when the door of the Porsche swung open again. A stunning woman stepped out. She was absolutely breathtaking. Allen’s breath caught in his throat. He had never seen someone that beautiful up close. “Lady Klee,” the man who happened to be the driver and bowed. “you don't have to worry. We’ve got this under control.” Allen continued to stare. He had never seen someone so white and pretty before. He had heard that name on the news commercials and how legendary her family is. They are one of the top families in Grandwest, canada. The lady nodded and went back into her car. They were just about to grab Allen when the driver of the Porsche raised his hand. “Allow him to go,” he said calmly. The soldiers froze in place, confused. One of them turned sharply. “Why? He hit the car!” The driver cut him off. “The Klee family can’t afford another scandal right now.” He glanced back at the Porsche. “The lady has asked that we let it go.” There was a moment of silence. Even though, their faces held grumps, they didn't question it. Without another word, the soldiers stepped back. Allen stood still, watching as they all returned to their vehicles and they all drove off. He remained rooted to the spot, stunned. It was a quiet estate road. Few cars passed, unaware of what just happened. Allen stood still, stunned. He walked back into his car and sat thinking about what just happened. Had he just seen the famous Sara Klee? His heart thudded at the thought. He closed his eyes and recalled her face. The flawless skin, the sharp gaze, the elegance she carried without effort. But beneath it all, he noticed her eyes held sadness. He wondered if she was well. He drove in silence until he reached the grand entrance of Floral Ville Estate. By then, the sun was already leaning into afternoon. As his car approached, a sleek scanner glided over the vehicle. Instantly, the gates opened softly and he was allowed in with no questions. Allen’s eyes widened. What he saw next took his breath away. It was like stepping into a dream. The roads shimmered, lined with exotic trees. Architectural mansions stood like jewels along both sides of the road. Even the air felt cleaner. As Allen drove slowly through the breathtaking streets of Floral Ville Estate, his phone began to ring. He smiled slightly, expecting it to be Sir Edward. He picked it up. Instead, a loud, irritated voice exploded through the receiver. It was his former boss, Mr Geraldine. “Where are you!?” Mr. Geraldine barked. “Do you have any idea how high the stack of files waiting for your useless fingers is right now?!” Allen didn’t reply immediately. He rolled his eyes and leaned back against the leather seat. “I’m asking you a question, Allen! You jobless worm, If not for your wife, I would have fired you. If you’re not in this office in the next fifteen minutes, don’t bother showing up again!” Allen smiled faintly and said, “Alright. I’ll be there.” He hung up without waiting for a response. He stared at the phone for a second, then whispered to himself It's time to end this He turned his car and drove the opposite direction. Soon. His luxury car pulled up before the dull grey building of Brook & Finch Consulting. He stepped out calmly, still dressed in his normal clothes. The sun was hot and he used his hand to cover his face as he moved towards the building. People standing outside the building stared at him , colleagues who once sneered at him, interns who never noticed him froze mid-conversation. One girl even dropped her coffee. “Is… is that Allen?” “No way. That car—” “Where the hell did he get all that from?” He didn’t glance their way. He simply walked past till he got into the building. Inside, the receptionist blinked. “Uh—Allen? W-why are you late today. The boss is so angr—” “I’m here to resign,” he said calmly, placing his company ID He also pulled out his black card briefly — just enough to stun everyone watching. Within seconds, two of his former colleagues, Nora and Kelvin hurried over with smirks stretched across their faces. “Well, well,” Kelvin snorted, arms crossed. “see who came running back?” Nora chuckled. “Or maybe he came to finally finish the files he always messed up.” Allen stood still, hands calmly in his pockets. “Actually, I came to resign.” “Resign?” Kelvin burst into laughter. “You have to be hired first to resign.” “Exactly,” Nora added. “Did someone give you a dictionary with the wrong definition?” Allen smiled faintly. “Hmm. Interesting how much time you two have to monitor someone you claim is irrelevant.” Kelvin’s grin faltered a bit. Allen continued. “But since you're so curious, let me help you out. I’m not here to work. I’m just returning something I no longer need.” He raised the small company ID and dropped it at the front desk. “And if you’re still here by next quarter,” he said, glancing briefly at them, “maybe I’ll put in a good word for you… at the next company I don’t plan to own.” There was a pause. Nora blinked. “Wh–what’s that supposed to mean?” Kelvin laughed " he msut have said that to make himself feel good. I must you must have started leeching on your wife wealth and that doesn't change the fact that you're nothing" " We'll see, " Allen smiled and moved into the elevator, on his way to his boss's office.

You look a bit off," her mother asked, gently brushing a strand of hair from Ella's face.Ella forced a small smile. "It's nothing... I was just looking for Allen. Have you seen him?"At the mention of his name, her mother’s cheerful expression vanished, replaced by a scowl."Why on earth are you looking for that freeloader? When I came back this morning, he was nowhere to be found. I'm sure he left last night, probably in tears."Ella exhaled, not saying anything. Her mother narrowed her eyes "Wait... he didn’t sign the divorce papers, did he?"When Ella handed the letter to her mother, she took one glance at it and didn’t look the least bit surprised.“He signed it?” she asked, raising an eyebrow.“Yes,” Ella replied quietly. “And that’s what’s strange… The Allen I know would never give up so easily. He’d be here, on his knees, begging.”Her mother scoff

Effective immediately.”Mr Geraldine stood, pushing his chair back “You think you can just waltz in here and quit like you matter? You’re nothing, Allen. “Did you think I’d let you off that easy?” Grey breathed hotly against Allen’s face. Allen sighed and scratched his head . He was not ready for all this and had more pressing matters on his head. He thought of an escape. He knew how much Grey loved money and then reached into his pocket and pulled out his sleek black card, Sir Edward gave him earlier “Here,” he said, extending it toward Grey. “This card has approximately a hundred million dollars on it. Take it. Buy whatever you want. Just let me leave in peace.” Grey’s face went pale. Allen continued " If my father had all this… if my family was alive, why… why did I suffer like that? Why did it take so long? ” Sir Edward’s eyes grew distant, sad like someone who carried guilt for years. “Nineteen years ago, on a summer evening, your father took the whole family, your mother, your brothers, and you—out for a treat.” “Then the car… the accident happened. It was brutal. When we got to the scene, we only found the charred remains of your mother, and the bodies of your two brothers. Your father’s body too… but your body wasn't there.” " You were inside too, Allen... but somehow, you miraculously survived.” Allen’s heart raced. Maybe this was the reason he never remembered anything from his childhood. " We thought maybe… just maybe, you survived. But no one could trace where you went " “We searched everywhere. All we found was a torn piece of your father’s coat, stained with blood. Blood that traced back to Fredrick but the devil denied everything. He manipula
