“Did you think I’d let you off that easy?” Grey breathed hotly against Allen’s face.

Allen sighed and scratched his head .

He was not ready for all this and had more pressing matters on his head.

He thought of an escape.

He knew how much Grey loved money and then reached into his pocket and pulled out his sleek black card, Sir Edward gave him earlier

“Here,” he said, extending it toward Grey. “This card has approximately a hundred million dollars on it. Take it. Buy whatever you want. Just let me leave in peace.”

Grey’s face went pale.

His voice rose, catching the attention of everyone nearby.

“You clearly stole this!” he barked. “Black cards like this are reserved for the elite. Only men of prestigious reputation carry them. You think you can fool me? You’ll rot in jail for this! ”

Laughter and whispers rippled through the crowd. People began pointing, sneering,

Allen felt so humiliated as it only worsen his migraine.

“ You can't fool me, the owner's name will be on it.” Grey growled as he called for backup. A group of guards began rushing over.

He then snatched the card from Allen’s hand and peered closer and his eyes widened.

Allen’s name was engraved in fine silver at the bottom.

He slapped Allen hard across the face. “How dare you forge this? You think putting your name on it makes it yours? That’s a crime. You’ll pay dearly. First impersonation then forgery. Hahaha. Consider yourself gone.”

The crowd grew louder, with their scorns.

" No. It's mine. I swear-" Allen tried to speak, to defend himself but the guards were already locking the cuffs around his wrists.

Grey sneered, waving the black card in the air like a trophy. “You think slapping your name on this makes you rich? I know you, Allen.”

He stepped closer, eyes gleaming with malice.

“You used to live next door to me, remember? ” Grey barked out a laugh. “You’re so poor, your woman was the one acting like the man. You? You stayed home cooking, washing, doing laundry like a housemaid.”

The crowd erupted with laughter.

“Look at him—Mr. Houseboy trying to be a billionaire,” someone said, clutching their stomach.

“Ah, no wonder she dumped him!” another added. “Imagine marrying a man who can’t even afford himself.”

Allen stood frozen, fhis face burning red. The migraine hit harder, .

Grey leaned in again, whispering with venom, “You were useless then, but with this" he said, flashing the card " you’re nothing now.”

More laughter erupted.

The guards tightened their grip on Allen’s arms, dragging him forward while the crowd pointed accusing fingers at him.

At this point, Allen began to wonder if the card was really a fake.

He had never tried it to know its authenticity so how will he know.

Just as the guards began dragging Allen away, the heavy hotel doors swung open. Ten sharply dressed men stepped in from beside a black limousine parked at the curb. Their presence commanded immediate attention.

They walked swiftly toward Allen.

Then, to everyone’s shock, they bowed.

“Sir Allen,” one of them said respectfully. “Is there any issues? We have been waiting all along.”

The entire hall froze. The guards instantly released their grip on Allen, stepping back.

Grey’s jaw dropped. His eyes darted between Allen and the men. “W-Wait... what?”

He couldn't believe how highly trained men be answering to this rubbish!

Allen dusted his sleeves casually, then gave a small smile. “No issue,” he said coolly.

The guard captain looked shaken. The crowd stared in disbelief.

Grey stepped forward, his voice laced with disbelief. “You’re making a mistake. I know this guy. He’s a nobody, a broke boy who couldn’t even afford his own feeding . I don't know what he told you but he’s lying to you.”

He turned to the suited men, ready to expose Allen.

But then he saw the tags clipped to their suits.

Sir Fredrick’s insignia.

His smirk returned. These men worked for the owner of the hotel, Sir Edward himself.

“Oh, I see,” Grey chuckled. “You work for Sir Fredrick. Wait till you guys hear what this thief tried. I'm sure you won't waste a minute before taking this guy away..”

Grey stepped back confidently, expecting the men to turn on Allen any second.

But Allen just kept smiling.

Even the crowd stood stunned, murmuring among themselves. One woman near the front shook her head and called out, “Please don’t encourage his fantasies! This boy’s been acting all morning. He’s not who you think he is.”

“Exactly!” another man chimed in. “He’s probably scammed you people. don’t be fooled!"

“Look at him!” someone scoffed. “How could a pauper suddenly become royalty?”

The murmurs grew louder. People started urging the men not to fall for what they called Allen’s act.Their laughter from earlier turned into open protests.

Grey, gaining confidence from the crowd’s support, stepped forward again. “See?” he said to the men in black. “They all know him too. This guy’s a fraud. Don’t embarrass yourselves.”

But the men didn't budge.

Instead, one of them glanced coldly at Grey. “Watch your mouth,” he warned.

The crowd quieted again

Grey pointed directly at Allen, his voice laced with disdain. “You mean this man? He’s nothing but a nuisance!”

One of the men snapped, stepping forward. “How dare you speak that way!”

The other guards immediately raised their guns, aiming them at Grey. His confidence collapsed.

“No, please!” Grey screamed, falling to the floor. “I was just doing my job! I didn’t know, please, don’t shoot!”

Everyone gasped silently. It was at that moment everyone realized Allen wasn’t ordinary.

Grey trembled, tears streaking down his face. He had never seen Sir Edward’s men act like this.

The men retrieved the black card from Grey’s trembling hands and respectfully handed it to Allen.

Allen said nothing. He simply turned and walked outside, the man monitoring his every move.

Every eye followed him till they got outside, wondering who he was.

He hated the attention.

Unknown to Allen. someone in the crowd had videod the whole thing and posted it online and it went super viral.

“Go,” Allen said calmly as he stopped by the Mercedes benz. “I’ll find my way home.”

The guards hesitated. “But sir, your safety is paramount to–”

“I said go.”

They obeyed, reluctantly stepping back as he entered his car.

Driving off alone, Allen couldn’t help but smile.

He must admit he liked this new life.

As Allen drove, he glanced around the interior of the car. Everything screamed luxury, from the polished leather seats, the gleaming dashboard, and ambient lighting that made the space feel like a moving penthouse.

“This car is... insane,” he muttered to himself, a smirk tugging at his lips. He didn’t need anyone to tell him before he knew it was worth a fortune.

Still gripping the wheel with one hand, he tapped the console. “AI, show me the route to Floral Ville Estate.”

“Route confirmed,” a smooth female voice replied, and the map lit up on the dashboard screen.

He leaned forward, eyes scanning the directions.

By the time he raised his head, it was too late.

BAM!

The sound was jarring. His body jerked forward as the car came to a sudden stop. His hands froze on the steering wheel, and his heart skipped.

“What the hell happened” he whispered, lifting his head.

His eyes widened in panic when he realized the scene before him.

He had hit another car.

Allen continued " If my father had all this… if my family was alive, why… why did I suffer like that? Why did it take so long? ” Sir Edward’s eyes grew distant, sad like someone who carried guilt for years. “Nineteen years ago, on a summer evening, your father took the whole family, your mother, your brothers, and you—out for a treat.” “Then the car… the accident happened. It was brutal. When we got to the scene, we only found the charred remains of your mother, and the bodies of your two brothers. Your father’s body too… but your body wasn't there.” " You were inside too, Allen... but somehow, you miraculously survived.” Allen’s heart raced.
