Benjamin's face was definitely a study in confusion. He looked from the older man to the others, then back again. He lifted his hand to shake the man out of politeness.
He didn't waste time in asking however, “Who are you and what do you want with me?” The older man cleared his throat, ridding his face of any kind of expression and doing his best to keep a level of professionalism in his extremely respectful manner. “I am Herbert McKlin, master Knox. If you wouldn't mind coming with us, you will be made fully aware of what this is all about.” He gestured to the car he'd just alighted from, urging Benjamin to enter. Benjamin looked at the car, then back at Herbert. “You really think I'm going to get into a car with some strangers? Just like that?” He wanted to say that he was sure they had the wrong person and they should just leave him alone to deal with his issues. But they knew his name. And there weren't very many Knoxes around this region. Then a thought dawned on him. Andrew. The asshole could have sent these men to ‘make him disappear’. But it looked a bit overkill, even for Andrew. And the cars these men brought were almost thrice as expensive as Andrew's. Even if he didn't know the extent of Andrew's family's wealth and they actually could afford these, he didn't think they would expend this much on a pauper like him. “Mr Knox, I assure you, we have no intention of harming you in any way. We would just like to have a civil conversation with you.” Benjamin scoffed, taking a step backward. “Aren't we civil enough right now? We can have the conversation right here.” Herbert was becoming a bit unsettled, he didn't like where this was headed. “Sir, it is paramount that you follow us, I must appeal to your better judgement on this please.” Benjamin wasn't convinced. He was the only one who could care for his grandmother. If anything happened to him without anyone who could take care of her, he would hate himself. He frowned. “I'm sorry but I can't. If you cannot say whatever you want here then you'll have to forget about it.” He gave a polite nod and then turned to walk away. Herbert nodded at the men and they instantly sprang into action, surrounding Benjamin. “What the hell!” Benjamin yelled, pushing them out of his path but failing at it miserably because these men felt like they were chiseled out of rock. “Please come with us young master.” the one who looked like the leader, stated calmly, firmly urging Benjamin in the direction of the third vehicle. “I said no!” Benjamin flung a punch at the guy, sending him stumbling a few steps. The other guys immediately closed the gap, holding on firmly to Benjamin. But Benjamin didn't give up, he kicked at as many as he could but it was like they just kept coming. He realised that they weren't retaliating to his violent attempts but merely trying to contain him. He tried headbutting one of them to provoke them and ruin their formation but the guy dodged and the rest used that opportunity to bundle him into the car. “Help! Somebody help!” Benjamin screamed, but it was futile, there was nobody around, and Herbert had him right where he wanted already. He kept trying to struggle but they overpowered him and next thing he knew, his hands were being tied together. “What the hell! What is the meaning of this! Is this being civil?” Benjamin kept yelling. Herbert slid in next to him, his expression apologetic. “I apologise, master Knox for the somewhat inhuman treatment but really I have no choice. I hope you forgive me when you realise why I had to do this.” “Damn you!” Benjamin spat, his entire body vibrating from restrained anger as the vehicle sped out of there. They drove for a while. Giving Benjamin time for his anger to dissipate. He was still pissed but his thoughts had begun to be reoriented. What could they possibly want with him? They'd basically abducted him. But he couldn't think of anyone he could possibly have offended to warrant this. They soon reached what looked like a remote estate. As they drove through the gate into the area, Benjamin could feel himself begin to be taken away by the aura of the place. They had long left the city and were on the outskirts of town and the vegetation had been beautiful but inside the estate it was even more so. Every inch of this estate screamed luxury. The trees seemed to have been crafted by the hands of humans, yet, the fruit some of these trees bear was proof that nature had been allowed to take its course as well. As they arrived at the house— a mansion that challenged the white house in every ramification, Benjamin's jaw dropped. His eyes widened and every shred of anger was replaced by awe. The area was like a presidential villa. There were armed guards and bodyguards everywhere, looking like something out of a James Bond movie. Benjamin couldn't believe his eyes. What could a person who dwelled in this sort of place possibly want with him? Herbert got out of the car and gestured for Benjamin to do same. “Welcome home, Master Knox.” Herbert bowed as he made this greeting. Benjamin could care less though, as he was still looking around at the magnificence and pure opulence of this place! He was soon led inside and it was as though the outside paled to what was contained inside. His mouth became permanently agape as he stared around at the grandiosity that was the complex architecture of this mansion. The place was basically like a modern palace. He could almost swear that he was in the home of some sort of royalty. He was directed by Herbert into a large hall where he found an old man sitting at the end of the exquisitely designed room. This old man immediately sprang up, his eyes lighting up as soon as he saw Benjamin. “Oh my God! My grandson is finally home!”Latest Chapter
Chapter 556
Benjamin's level of perception and reflexive reaction was incredibly high. At this point, he possesses enough speed to actually avoid a bullet. The second the first guy pulled the trigger, Benjamin dashed in the opposite direction, pulled the armed thugs who were yet to shoot, and simply got behind him, using the unfortunate guy as a shield. And with that, he had broken out of the deadlock. Clearly, these people didn't anticipate that Benjamin possessed such a terrifying speed.Once he was out of the entrapment, getting rid of the rest was a piece of cake for Benjamin. With speed that leaves these armed men and women unable to tell where he was, and thus, where to aim, Benjamin used his strength to punch the heads of these people off their necks, killing them. As for the rest, he simply moved around, then stopped, letting the scared thugs carelessly shoot before they even realized that he had stopped right behind one of their own. Needless to say, it was too late by the time they re
Chapter 555
April was doing all of this on purpose. She had actually held a devastating advantage over Lady Anna Ray all along, and could have killed her from the start before the older woman even realized what was going on. But she didn't.And now, she's even holding onto just half of her weapons, as if she wanted both sides to have their scales balanced before they clashed again.“You…Are you fucking treating me with pity?! You could have taken me out from the start, but you didn't. You clearly had me under an illusory compulsion, and yet, you only showed your hands in the end. And now, you're allowing me to control half of my swords. Are you making fun of me?!”Understandably, Lady Anna’s ego was bruised deeply at this point, and she was about to lose her mind. She has always seen herself as the woman on top, a psychic no other psychic could rival, and yet, reality was unfolding before her a cruel joke. She was deeply infuriated that the supposedly inexperienced psychic was making a mockery o

The subordinates who weren't dead were now holding their heads as they were wracked with pain.“Help! There's something in my fucking brain!”“Aaarghh! Help! Somebody, help me!”There was so much pain that some of these people actually rushed to take their funds, found the nearest one, pointed it at their own heads, and pulled the trigger without hesitation, killing themselves. This was how painful the experience was for these people, and it was due to the effect of two psychics fighting. This is a testament to just how powerfully devastating the battle between the two psychics was.For those who managed to hold on and not shoot their own heads off, the headaches suddenly stopped, and they all went into a trance, under the effect of the telepathic and clairvoyant execution from both psychics. Then there's the attack on their empathic capabilities, which caused these mentally weaker subordinates to feel emotions that were never theirs to begin with As a result, some of these people w
Chapter 553
Down at the bottom of the throne, April was caught off guard by the sudden psychic attack, despite having her guards up against the older woman. She felt her consciousness shake immensely, which was then followed by an incredible headache that made her feel like her brain was about to explode. Therefore, April immediately let out a scream, but quickly stormed to face up to the older woman with a glare. There was no need to raise her hand as she psychologically fought back against the mental attack. It was like wrapping up a bag of ants and throwing it away.As April stood to face Anna, she calmed herself and redirected the mental attack back at the older woman. To the side, Benjamin had heard his girlfriend's scream and was, of course, worried.“Angel, are you….”Benjamin was distracted, and Don Christ Stoop didn't waste this chance to rush straight at him with incredible speed, bashing his fist straight into the younger man's chest. The sound was like a huge metallic tower falling t
Chapter 552
As the thrown weapons and shot bullets made contact with the wall of the force field that April had put up, it was like they had been stuck and could no longer proceed forward. The known kind of force fields would simply repel any attack, sending it back to the attacker and making sure that it never reaches the target. But April's force field is different. Made from her manipulation of telekinesis into a light film that could morph into any shape she desired, any item that touched it would instantly be stuck under the effect of the telekinetically charged forcefield. This shocked the hooded subordinates who had all thrown these attacks at both April and Benjamin. They truly didn't expect that she would be capable of this. But April wasn't done. With her palm opened wide, her five fingers curled inward and stretched back outwards in rhythms, as if she were playing the piano, these weapons began to run their direction back at each target that had thrown them.Seeing this, there was a l

Benjamin replied this time.“To study the enemies, of course, both inside and out.”That revelation unveiled a realization in the minds of both Christ and Anna. They gazed at each other, immediately communicating telepathically.[They were in our heads?][Impossible! If they truly were in our minds, there's no way we wouldn't have detected them.]Anna is a psychic, after all. A very powerful psychic at that. And after siphoning a percentage of April’s powers, she felt even stronger. So there's no way she wouldn't be able to detect a foreign presence in her mental scape….or so she thought. At that moment, April’s voice intruded on the conversation that Christ and Anna were having telepathically.[Are you kidding me right now? You've had decades of experience as a psychic before me. I awakened my powers just last year, and even I can tell that every consciousness in a mindscape leaves energetic trails, an undeniable footprint that couldn't be erased as long as there's existence itself.
