Chapter 1: Betrayal

Torin was currently sitting in the living room while clenching his fists tightly. His face was as red as a tomato, showing that he was falling into a great rage.

Occasionally he turned his gaze towards the newspaper which was right in front of him. When he re-read the news written there, he couldn't hide his disappointed expression.

At this point, the main door was finally pushed open. When Torin saw the figure of the woman he was most waiting for appear behind the door, he immediately got up from the chair while pulling the newspaper, then said in an angry tone, "You're finally home, Miya! Can you explain to me the meaning of this news?! I want an explanation from you right now!"

Torin's anger only made Miya show a lazy expression, “Ah, I had expected that eventually, you would find out, Torin. Yeah, the news is true. I slept with Nevil in a hotel. Do you mind that?!"

Hearing that, Torin couldn't help but be surprised. The woman who had always been gentle and warm, suddenly turned arrogant and rude! Is this woman really Miya; his wife?

“You're asking me if I mind that?! Are you serious, Miya?! I am your husband! How could you possibly question my opinion on that?!"

At this point, Miya gave a signal with her right hand towards the outside of the door, then replied, "Okay! Since you already know, how about we just end this relationship?! What a coincidence, Nevil is here."

Just as Miya finished saying that, a man in his 30s appeared from behind the door. The man wore an expensive suit with a neat haircut. His lips decorated with a diamond ring suddenly curved into a sly smile. His half-narrowed eyes showed that he was looking down at Torin.

"Is this stupid man your husband, Miya? He looks so disappointing!" he said in a dismissive tone.

"From today, he is no longer my husband, Nevil. You are the one who deserves it the most!" Miya replied while hugging Nevil warmly.

Seeing their intimacy, Torin couldn't help but say with an expression of disbelief, "Do you really want a divorce, Miya?!"

"Of course! Moreover, I also prepared the divorce paper three days ago. I'm just waiting for the right moment. What a rare coincidence that news reached you. So... I don't have to waste my time explaining everything, right?"

Miya wasn't sticking a knife into Torin's heart, but that was how he felt right now. "What do you think of our relationship all this time, Miya?! Wasn't it me who helped you reach this point, becoming one of the most famous actresses in Corholt City? I am the man who always accompanies you in your ups and downs! How could you say such cruel words as if everything that had ever happened between us was just an illusion?!"

Hearing that, Miya immediately threw a piece of paper at Torin, then replied in an angry tone, "Stop discussing the past, Torin! Quickly sign the divorce paper and get out of this house! Don't worry, I will give you 400 thousand dollars as compensation for all the struggles you are proud of! You don't have to feel wronged!"

At this point, Torin showed a bitter face. "What made you betray me, Miya? Is this all because of money?"

"Of course! If I think about it very deeply, it would have been stupid of me to spend three years with a poor guy like you! You're just a graphic designer at a small company! You're nothing more than a piece of trash! You don't deserve a woman like me! Try comparing yourself to Nevil? You know, your differences are like heaven and earth!"

Hearing too many insults that Miya threw at him, made Torin reach his limit!

Does this mean that Miya values money more than me; her husband?!

Does this mean that the struggles I've been doing, such as accompanying her to shoot commercials or films, serving her special breakfasts, and taking care of her when she's sick, are no better than money?! Is money that important to her?!

Damn! I left money to be able to stay with her and live a simple and happy life, but she actually left me because of money?!

At this point, Torin truly felt broken and helpless.

But, of course, as a man, Torin had principles! If a woman is willing to leave you just for a small reason, then don't let you fall into sadness! In fact, you are receiving a stroke of luck! Being kept away from a bad woman like that, is the greatest blessing you can get!

Therefore, Torin would no longer use his words to convince Miya! If Miya gave up on being with him, then the only thing he could do now was give up too! He wouldn't drop his pride for a cheap woman like Miya!

At this point, Torin picked up the divorce paper on the floor, then immediately signed it!

"This is what you wanted, right, Miya? Okay, I've done it!" said Torin in a firm tone.

Seeing Torin do it quickly, Miya nodded in satisfaction. However, it was soon replaced with a disappointed expression, because what she expected did not happen.

"Great! But... It's quite disappointing that you didn't cry, Torin. You should beg for mercy from me!"

Hearing that, Nevil laughed, "Hahaha, that's right, Miya. I really look forward to this stupid man's cry! He should kneel down and beg you to be allowed to live in this luxurious house, at least as a servant. However, he was truly a disappointment! Not only did he not cry, he also pretended to be a strict man. Is this because you gave him compensation money? Yeah, that seems very possible."

Torin, who was currently really annoyed by the attitude of the two, immediately took long steps towards the exit while saying, "I don't need that money! You can use the money for yourself, Miya! After all, the one who needs money the most among us is you, Miya!"

Hearing that, Miya felt offended, "Oh? You're trying to insult me, Torin?! Look at you! If it weren't for me, you would be homeless right now! Do you think your small salary is enough to buy this luxurious house? You must remember that you are alive because of me. You live off my money!"

Miya's statement succeeded in making Torin stop in his tracks. He immediately turned around with an angry face and replied, "You also have to remember, Miya! If it weren't for me helping your family who was bankrupt at the time, you would never have reached this point! You're the one who's going to be homeless, Miya! So, don't ever think that I live because of your money! In fact, the opposite is true!"

Immediately afterward, Torin continued his steps without waiting for a reply from Miya. There was no longer any reason for him to continue staying in this place!

On the other hand, seeing Torin leaving, Miya immediately said, "Wait, Torin! I haven't finished talking yet!"

However, no matter what she said, Torin had gone far, until he finally disappeared into the distance.

"Damn you, Torin! Just watch what I will do to you! This is the consequence for daring to look down on me!" Then, Miya took her phone and called someone.
