Chapter 2: Torin's True Identity

At this point, Torin continued walking while wearing a bitter expression. What happened today shocked and disbelieved him.

Didn't they promise in the past that they would stay together until death do them part? Don't they love each other?

Then, why did she leave me just for a trivial reason?

Torin continued to fall into his thoughts. However, he was immediately shocked by the sound of a car horn that sounded not far from him.

"Stop, Torin! Stop right there!" said someone in the car.

Torin immediately turned his gaze towards the source of the sound. In front of him, he could see a Ford Country Squire that had been overhauled in such a way that it looked like a gangster's vehicle. Of course, Torin knew who was behind it.

He is Ethan Johnson, Miya's younger brother who has an extreme spoiled nature. Torin remembered that Miya bought the car about six months ago as a gift for Ethan's 19th birthday.

"What do you want from me, Ethan?" Torin asked immediately with an annoyed face.

Please note that their relationship is not good. Remembering that Torin is poor, Ethan always tries to force Miya to leave him and look for a rich man instead. Of course, this dream has been achieved today. Then, what else does he want from me?

Hearing that, Ethan laughed loudly before finally saying, "You trying to fool me, Torin?! You should know that it was Miya who asked me to take the money back! Then, why should I contact her again?! Quickly give me the money, Torin! You're wasting my time!"

At this point, Torin realizes that Miya set him up. Miya's goal is clear, she wants Torin to be beaten by Ethan!

Is this her way of repaying the insult I gave her earlier?!

Soon, Ethan returned to his car and chased after Torin.

"That bastard is hiding! Let's split up to look for him!" Ethan ordered with great anger towards his friends. If he managed to catch Torin, he promised to chop Torin's body into a million pieces!

On the other hand, after making sure that Ethan was far away from him, Torin chose to rest behind the trash can. Even though there were several dirty and smelly rats trying to approach and bite him, Torin didn't care.
