One by one, cars drove through the university’s main gate. A few people could be seen walking along the sidewalk. Bright lights adorned every corner of the street, creating a sea of light. Rows of round tables were neatly arranged in the front yard. The sound of music and singing drifted down from the stage.

People began to fill the event venue, chatting and taking photos.

Cindy sat in a chair. A glass of drink was in her hand. The sweetness of the drink couldn’t erase the frown on her face.

“Oh my God, my boyfriend really broke up with me. He also beat up his cousin until he was a bloody mess.”

Cindy watched the people passing by nearby. “I never thought Peter would see me going to the hotel with....”

“Oh my gosh, I really want to scream right now.” Cindy let out a long sigh, growing even more annoyed as the drink spilled onto her dress. “I was supposed to be wearing the latest dress right now, but because of what happened earlier, all my plans fell through. I also didn’t have time to prepare my best look for tonight.”

A car pulled up near the event venue. Simon and Clara got out of the car. Their arrival immediately drew everyone’s attention.

Simon and Clara looked like a very well-matched couple.

Clara chatted with a few girls before approaching Cindy. “What’s wrong with you, Cindy? Why do you look so down?”

Cindy let out a long sigh. “My boyfriend broke up with me an hour before this party started, Clara. He... was cheating on me with another woman.”

“What?” Clara sat down next to Cindy. “That’s really bad news. No wonder you look a bit a mess right now. Why didn’t you tell me from the start, Cindy? You told me about Peter instead.”

“Peter really annoyed me. He told my boyfriend that I…” Cindy fell silent immediately, choosing not to talk about Peter right now. She knew Clara wouldn’t believe her.

“Peter told your boyfriend? Your boyfriend is a manager at a multinational company. How could Peter have met him?”

“Forget about that issue, Clara. Don’t mention Peter’s name in front of me again.”

Clara rolled her eyes. “If you need my help to touch up your makeup and appearance, you can say so now before the event starts.”

Simon approached Sean. They chatted on the outskirts of the party.

“Clara told me that Cindy saw Peter at one of the famous outlets this afternoon. That loser bought a lot of luxury items there,” said Simon.

“Do you believe what Cindy said?” Sean burst out laughing. “That loser couldn’t possibly get into a luxury outlet, let alone buy a lot of stuff. He just works as a food delivery guy at a small shop.”

“Of course I don’t believe that nonsense.” Simon took a quick sip of his drink. “Do you know where Peter is now? Is he in the hospital?”

Sean shrugged. “I don’t know where he is now, and neither do my men. They checked the forest and the area around the river under the bridge shortly after he fell from the bridge. They found a large hole in the roof of an old warehouse and some bloodstains. Peter probably fell into that spot.”

Simon snorted in frustration. “He’s lucky he didn’t fall onto the sharp rocks.”

“Besides that....” Sean suddenly fell silent, checking his phone. “Some people saw Peter running along the sidewalk shortly after the incident by the lake. He looked really messed up at the time.”

“Look.” Sean showed a photo. “I had my friend edit this photo to make it clearer and sharper.”

Simon studied the photo closely. “The guy in this photo... it is Peter.”

Simon drained his drink. “He fell off the bridge and landed in an old warehouse, but he looks fine. He’s a piece of trash that’s hard to get rid of.”

“Do you think that piece of trash is going to show up at this party?”

Simon laughed. “If he’s still brave enough to come after what happened this afternoon, I’ll humiliate him even more. I won’t waste my last chance to bully him.”

“I’ll support you. I’ll definitely be very busy after handling my family’s business.”

Several professors began joining the graduates. The party atmosphere grew livelier by the minute. The music and dancing heated up the mood. Waiters kept arriving with drinks and snacks.

“Peter isn’t here,” Clara muttered as she surveyed her surroundings.

“Did you expect that piece of trash to show up?” Simon stroked Clara’s hair.

“I’ll humiliate him even more if he dares to show his face at this party.” Clara leaned against Simon’s shoulder. “You’ll help me, won’t you?”

Simon laughed. “I’d be happy to help you.”

The university president gave a speech on stage. He congratulated all the graduates on their graduation. Music began to play again. Several famous singers and bands also performed to liven up the party.

As the party was coming to an end, a convoy of luxury cars suddenly drove through the university’s main gate, drawing everyone’s attention.

People in black uniforms got out of the cars and lined up neatly beside them.

Simon, Clara, Sean, Cindy, and the others began to approach, whispering to each other with looks of admiration.

“One of those cars is one of the most expensive and latest models,” said Simon, barely blinking.

“Yes, you’re right. It costs over twenty million dollars each. The other cars are in the ten-million-dollar range.” Sean examined each car in turn. “I wonder who arrived in those luxury cars.”

“Could it be Thomas from the architecture department?” Simon guessed without taking his eyes off the row of luxury cars. “He’s the son of the deputy minister in this country.”

“He’s been here for a while. He’s just as surprised as we are right now.”

Simon glanced briefly to the left. “He looks annoyed too.”

Simon muttered, “I know a lot of rich students at this university, but I’ve never seen anyone arrive in a luxury car like that. Whoever he is, I have to get to know him. I could get a lot out of it.”

“Oh my gosh, who’s that rich guy who arrived in that luxury car with bodyguards? He’s clearly richer than Simon. I have to catch his attention,” Clara said in a very soft voice.

“Those bodyguards are wearing the uniforms of one of the famous security agencies often hired to protect officials and famous celebrities.” Cindy stood on tiptoe a few times, searching for the important figure.

The crowd continued to whisper, speculating.

Peter was still in one of the cars, watching Simon, Clara, and the people who had bullied him during his time at this university. It wasn’t just students; some professors had bullied him, too.

“I deliberately arrived a little late to give you all time to have fun. But your time is up now.”

Peter checked his appearance. Everything he was wearing was from famous, expensive brands.

“Let’s see the look on your faces when you realize it’s me who arrived with that fleet of luxury cars and bodyguards.”

Cindy rubbed her eyes and shook her head repeatedly. “He... is indeed Peter. But how could he possibly be in that room right now?”Cindy pinched her arm repeatedly. “This isn’t a dream, and that man really is Peter. What on earth is going on?”Cindy watched as the staff entered the room carrying shopping bags. “The staff are treating Peter very well. They’re also placing the bags near him.”“Oh my God, what is going on?” Cindy stomped her foot. “How could Peter be… I can’t believe this. But that man really is Peter.”“What are you doing, ma’am?” asked a staff member, “You’ve been standing here for quite a while. Are you spying on our VVIP customer?”“VVIP customer? Do you mean that man?”The staff member nodded. “Please don’t stand there, ma’am. You might make our VVIP guest uncomfortable.”Cindy sat down in a chair, continuing to watch as the staff came and went from the room. She checked the messages on her phone, massaging her head, which had suddenly started to ache. “Clara said

“Let me go, you bastard!” Sonic brushed off his suit, glaring at Peter. “You promised to run around this building naked if I turned out to be a five-star priority customer,” said Peter. “W-what do you mean, you bastard?” Sonic looked away. “If you keep your promise, I’ll drop all my charges. If you refuse, I’ll still report you to the police.”“I-I never said I’d run around this building naked.”“I recorded everything you said.” Peter held up his phone and played the recording of Sonic’s words. Sonic gaped at the recording of his own voice. “That’s an AI recording. I never said that.”“If you still don’t believe me, we can check the CCTV.”“No!” Sonic screamed hysterically, “I-I never said that stupid thing! I also... I’d better get out of this damn place!”Sonic rushed off. “Didn’t you want to borrow money using the deed to one of your family’s houses as collateral, Sonic? You… took that deed from your father’s safe.”Sonic immediately turned around, staring at Peter in disbelie

Sonic glanced at the crowd around him. He felt he had plenty of allies to further humiliate Peter. Sonic laughed as he took in Peter’s appearance for the umpteenth time. “No one would believe you’re the bank’s highest-level priority customer. Only a fool would believe you’re a five-star priority customer.” The other customers nodded in agreement. “The main requirement to be the highest-level priority customer at this bank is to have at least five hundred million dollars in your bank account.” Sonic pointed at Peter’s face. “I’m not sure someone like you even has five thousand dollars in your account, let alone the fact that you’re just a low-paid food delivery guy. If you want to brag, you still have to use your brain.”One man in the crowd said, “Even the richest person in this city rarely becomes a top-tier priority customer.”“Goodness, that guy must be crazy!”“He must have hit his head on something so he can’t think straight!”“He’s a pathetic liar!”“I know daydreaming doesn

Peter arrived at the bank half an hour later. He didn’t care at all that he was soaking wet and his clothes were dirty. A staff member looked at him with annoyance and disdain, but the woman kept up her fake smile. “How can I help you, sir?” “I want to withdraw five hundred thousand dollars from my account,” said Peter. The staff member was startled, repeatedly glancing at Peter’s appearance. She took his card, checked the account, and froze in place upon seeing the string of numbers on the computer screen. The staff member immediately contacted her supervisor. Her cold smile turned into a warm, polite one. “Please forgive my rudeness just now, sir. Please follow me. I’ll take you to our priority customer lounge.”“Priority customer?” Peter said. The staff member nodded. “I have a hundred billion dollars in my account. Of course I’m a priority client at this bank.” Peter followed the woman. “I’m not surprised she suddenly became so polite to me.”Peter entered a very spacious r

A golden-red light suddenly enveloped Peter’s body, healing all his wounds. The old book knocked over the cupboard and the books surrounding Peter, then circled the man’s body before finally landing on his chest. As the room grew dim once more, the rain began to pour down heavily. The wind blew fiercely, whipping tree branches against the window and creating a clattering sound. Raindrops seeped through a hole in the warehouse roof, falling onto Peter’s face. Peter began to blink, coming round. He rubbed his head repeatedly, taking in his surroundings. “Where am I?” Peter jumped in surprise at the dim light. He felt around him, touching some books nearby. Peter turned towards the window. When a thunderclap rang out so loudly that the room was suddenly lit up, a series of events instantly flashed through his mind. “I intended to propose to Clara today, but she was actually having an affair with Simon. No, that madwoman has been playing me all this time. Out of anger, I hit Simon
