Chap 5: Private VVIP Meeting and Their Insults

"Mr. Austin, you are now officially entitled to the property assets of Jonathan and Pricillia's three mansions, two corporate buildings, and four businesses."

Austin felt his hair stand on end after hearing the statement from the notary in front of him. After twenty years of living in poverty, working hard but never tasting money, this moment Austin was the owner of wealthy assets.

This was all too sudden.

Even Austin was still convinced that this was a dream. But time and again Austin tried to pinch his skin, it hurt. It's proof that the wealthy assets he has now are not a dream.

If Austin had gotten this wealth before his divorce from Ellina, would the two of them not have divorced?

"Austin, congratulations. Finally all these inheritance rights are in the right hands," said Rudolf who had been accompanying Austin and the notary.

Austin gave an awkward smile. "Ah, I... don't know what to say," he replied with a brief chuckle.

Rudolf patted Austin on the shoulder. "It's okay. You'll get used to it later, Austin. Now, tell me what you want?"

"I need to hide that I own these assets, Mr. Rudolf," Austin replied.

Yes, Austin had thought all night about his plan. To investigate more intensely into the environment of the parties involved in the project, narcotics, Austin could not be the same rich figure.

"If I become a rich man, they will feel reluctant to me and be wary of me. I want them to feel safe, to think of me as someone who can't do anything," Austin continues to explain in more detail.

Hearing Austin's statement, Rudolf, who was initially confused and surprised, finally nodded in understanding. Rudolf watched Austin for a moment, confirming his belief.

"When my identity is hidden, you can remain the CEO of the company, Mr. Rudolf. But please do not tell anyone that I am the owner," Austin said again, explaining in more detail.

"If that's what you want, fine. Mr. Charlie, you can take care of it, right?"

Charlie, Rudolf's go-to notary, nodded obediently. "I can, Mr. Rudolf. I will do that."

Rudolf's gaze shifted to Austin who smiled with relief. Rudolf held Austin's right shoulder.

"Now you must live your life to the fullest, Austin. After this, your life will change."

Austin already knew that. But he didn't answer and just agreed. His brain was now thinking about how to start the undercover plan.

[Ding!]

[New Mission Alert!]

[Pay off your bank loan debt and take back your confiscated property]

[Mission Reward: 500+ Point Level, Unlocked Skill Punishing Kick, USD 80,000,000]

When the mission appeared on the holographic display screen, Austin was somewhat surprised. Austin looked around to make sure no one was there.

"Why does this mission have to appear while I'm working?" Austin complained as he let out a rough breath.

From behind, a woman opened the door to the office boy's room that was not closed tightly. The woman immediately knocked on the door to wake Austin up.

"Austin. Mr. Bernard has called you to the VVIP meeting room," the woman said. "Bring Dutch tea for his six guests now. Don't be late!"

Austin gasped and turned his gaze to the woman behind him. He quickly nodded his head obediently.

After the woman left the room, Austin immediately went to the company's exclusive cafeteria. The cafeteria was reserved for the company's CEO, directors, managers, and other exclusive guests.

Austin bought Dutch tea at one of the fancy counters in the exclusive cafeteria. It took him twenty minutes before he finally left for the VVIP meeting room.

Knock! Knock!

When he gave three knocks, the door of the VVIP meeting room opened. Austin immediately entered the room with a tray of Dutch tea.

"Hey, Austin! This is the Dutch tea order we've been waiting for!" Bernard exclaimed brightly upon seeing Austin's arrival.

"Woah, Bernard! You understand us well enough to serve us such a fancy dish!"

Austin's steps instantly stopped after hearing a familiar voice. The direction of his gaze immediately turned to the side, and to his surprise he saw Ellina with Jack. They were sitting on the VVIP guest meeting sofa.

It wasn't just Ellina and Jack. There was also Simon, Petra, and Rudolf. One of the people who caught Austin's attention was Vernanzo.

'They're all gathered here,' Austin thought.

Austin actually didn't expect that Rudolf would gather with them. But he held back his curiosity as Rudolf silently made a hand gesture. Inviting him to pretend that they didn't know each other.

"Austin! Why are you just standing there like a fool?!" Bernard snapped at Austin suddenly.

Startled, Austin immediately rushed to the seats of the VVIP guests. Austin handed each guest a glass of Dutch tea one by one.

"Please drink, sir," Austin said as he handed a special cup of Dutch tea to Simon.

Simon looked at Austin both dimly and sharply. He looked at Ellina who sneered at Austin's existence.

"Please forgive my office boy. Between all the office boys, he's alert but often has sudden daydreams," Bernard explained.

"Maybe he was surprised to see us again," Simon replied with a dismissive smile. "No problem. Some people like him didn't want to work very often."

Austin tried to contain his annoyance when he heard Simon's words.

"Yeah, but at least he's the only obedient office boy. Very easy to command like a submissive dog," Bernard replied with a chuckle.

Just then Austin arrived in front of Rudolf to give him a cup of Dutch tea.

"Hey, you can't think of him as an obedient dog," Vernanzo retorted. His tone was calmer, but his gaze was as sardonic as his smile.

"He's more worthy of being called like that. Mr. Bernard, don't be so mean," Vernanzo continued. Although his words were defensive, his tone sounded deliberately sarcastic.

Austin realized that Vernanzo was being insulting. Unfortunately, his tone was more subtle.

"Why not? He always do everything that I told him! What else deserved nickname for him other than obedient dog?" Bernard said, give his mocking laughter.
