They Tried To Kill A Billionaire
last update2026-09-26 18:12:58

At 6 AM, three black Prados left the hotel to go to Lagos. Chief Williams, Jayeola, and Damian were in the middle car. Police escort in front and back.

The road was quiet and foggy. Damian was sleeping on his mother's lap, dreaming of his new school. Jayeola was holding her father's hand, still crying with joy.

Suddenly, a big trailer with no plate number came from nowhere at full speed. It was aiming directly at the middle car where Damian was.

"CHIEF! TRAILER!" The driver shouted.

The driver tried to swerve, but the trailer hit them hard from the side. GBAM!

All three cars somersaulted into the bush. Glass shattered. People were shouting. The police escort quickly came out with guns and started shooting at the trailer, but the trailer did not stop. It ran away into the bush path.

In the middle car, Chief Williams had hit his head and was bleeding. Jayeola was unconscious. Damian's leg was trapped under the seat. He was crying, "Mama! Grandpa!"

Villagers from nearby farms heard the accident and ran to help. They pulled them out.

Chief's security called an emergency helicopter from Lagos. Within 30 minutes, a helicopter landed on the highway and carried Chief, Jayeola, and Damian to the best private hospital in Lagos — Williams Hospital, which Chief himself owns.

Doctors surrounded them. The news spread quickly in Lagos — "Chief Williams involved in assassination attempt."

In Banana Island, Lady Williams was watching the news on TV with Kola and Femi, pretending to cry. "Oh my God! My husband! Who could do such a wicked thing?" But inside, she was angry that the plan failed.

At the hospital, Chief woke up first. His first question was, "Where is Damian? Where is my heir?"

The doctor said, "Chief, your grandson is fine, just a broken leg. But we need to keep him for observation."

Chief was furious. His eyes turned red. He knew who did it. Only one person wants him dead so that Damian will not inherit — his second wife.

He called his most trusted security man, General Black, a retired army general.

"General, I want you to find that trailer driver before sunset. I want to know who sent him. And double the security for Damian and Jayeola. From today, no food goes to them unless you taste it first."

General Black nodded. "Yes, Chief. No one will touch the young billionaire again."

Three days later, Damian was discharged. His leg was in a plaster, but he was alive. Jayeola was also fine.

Chief called a press conference. All TV stations in Nigeria came — Channels TV, Arise TV, TVC.

Chief stood up with Damian beside him, who was now on a small wheelchair, wearing a fine blue suit.

Chief announced into the microphone, "Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you my grandson and heir, Damian Williams, son of my daughter Jayeola. He is the future Chairman of Williams Group. Anyone who touches him touches me. And I have survived 40 years in business — I know how to deal with enemies."

The flash of cameras was everywhere. Damian was now famous. From a village boy who was slapped, to a billionaire heir on national TV in one week.

The video went viral on T****k and F******k. People were commenting, "From grass to grace!" "Revenge story!"

In the village, Austin, Damian's stepfather, saw the news on a neighbor's small phone. He saw Jayeola wearing gold, Damian in a suit, standing next to a billionaire.

Austin fell on the floor. "What have I done? I have been beating a billionaire's daughter and a billionaire's grandson!"

He quickly packed his bags and ran away from the village that night, because he knew revenge was coming.

After the press conference, Chief took Damian to his mansion in Banana Island. The mansion was bigger than the whole village. It had 20 rooms, swimming pool, cinema, and 15 servants.

Damian entered and his mouth opened. He had never seen such wealth.

"This is your home now," Chief said. "But to keep this home, you must learn. You must learn how to speak like a billionaire, think like a billionaire, and punish like a billionaire."

Chief hired 4 private teachers for Damian — English teacher, business teacher, martial arts teacher, and a revenge teacher — General Black.

General Black told Damian, "A billionaire does not shout. A billionaire does not fight with his hands. A billionaire destroys his enemies with one signature. I will teach you."

For the next one year, Damian did not go to regular school. He had home school inside the mansion. He woke up at 5am, jogs around Banana Island, learns business meetings with Chief, learns how to sign million dollar contracts, learns how to spot betrayal.

Jayeola, his mother, was also transformed. She went to the best salon, best boutique. She went from a village woman with torn wrapper to a Lagos big madam with designers.

One year passed quickly.

Damian was now 13 years old, but he looked like a 16-year-old. He was tall, smart, fluent in English, and he now controls a small department in Williams Oil & Gas — the CSR department, with a budget of 500 million naira.

He had not forgotten his village. Every night, he opened his small notebook where he wrote the names of everyone who slapped his mother, who laughed at him, who beat him.

At the top of the list:

1. Austin — Stepfather

2. Proprietor of his village school — who called him a bastard

3. Mama Nkechi — neighbor who gossiped about his mother

4. His classmates — who laughed when he was beaten

He looked at the list and smiled coldly. The same smile his grandfather smiles before destroying a competitor.

He called General Black. "General, prepare the convoy. It's time to go back to the village. It's time for the billionaire's revenge."

General Black smiled. "Yes, young boss. The village will not believe what is coming."

Damian looked out of his mansion window at Lagos lights. The poor boy who ran away with a nylon bag one year ago was now coming back with 10 Prado Jeeps, police escorts, and 50 billion naira behind him.
