CHAPTER 2

SYSTEM ACTIVATED

Jacob quickly stood up from the ground and angrily ordered his boys  to beat Allen.

Before Allen could realize what was going on,   he was already on the floor, and three boys were on him,    beating him mercilessly.

His envelope was taken away from him by Jacob

Allen couldn't   help but scream and groan  loudly in pain helplessly  as the boys hit him  on all   parts of  his body

Jacob opened the envelope and took out the letter in it as he opened it.

He realized the contents of the letter and got more interested, so he read further. After reading all the contents, he had a mischievous smile on his face.

“ Stop!!” Jacob commanded his boys.

The boys stopped beating Allen at the command of their leader, and they all turned to look at him.

Jacob had a jealous face with a mischievous smile.

“ Guess what is here. This loser of a person just got admission to the biggest university in the whole country on full scholarship” Jacob said.

All of the boys seemed shocked as they watched Jacob’s face in awe.

The second in command to Jacob quickly rushed over to Jacob to ascertain the truth.

After a quick confirmation, he looked at Jacob.

“ What do we do to him now, bro?” The second in command asked Jacob.

Jacob smiled mischievously.

“ Leave him. He is already weak here. But since we can not get into the university, he can not get into the university either” Jacob said as he walked closer to Jacob with the letter in his hand.

He walked to the side where Allen was lying helplessly.

“ Hey loser, you are not going to make it into the university,” Jacob said as he tore the letter into two.

Allen was beaten mercilessly until he could feel all his body go numb.

He screamed loudly in pain, but all the passers became onlookers, and none of them dared to interfere in the business.

Allen could now only hear the voices of Jacob and his men.

He lay there weakly with his eye closed as it was too painful to open it following a blow he had received in the eye by one of the boys.

He heard Jacob saying all the things about him, and then he felt his voice come closer until he could hear him just above him.

“Hey loser, you are not going to make it into the university.” Right after those words, Allen heard the shredding sound of the paper.

With a gush of an instant adrenaline in his veins, he opened his eyes forcefully and stood up at once with all his might, trying to snatch the letter from Jacob.

Jacob was, however, quick to notice the action and quickly moved his hand.

Unfortunately, the power landed as a slap on Jacob’s face with a loud sound.

The paper was now torn into two. Jacob had just received the slap of his life.

Jacob spat out and realized that he had lost a tooth.

His men immediately began attacking Allen.

Jacob looked around and picked a plank of wood that was on the roadside.

He went over to where the boys were beating Allen mercilessly, and with all his might, he hit the plank right on Allen’s Knees.

Allen screamed out in pain with all of his might.

Allen could hear a bold voice, quite bolder than all that of Jacob and his men.

“ System, activated. Installation in process” the voice said.

Allen could not tell who had that voice, but at that point, he needed not to find out.

All he needed was help to get out of the place.

“ Somebody help me!” Allen shouted with all the energy left in him before he passed out.

Allen heard the voice in his head.

He heaved a sigh and stood up from the chair.

He was headed over to his workplace.

The bruises and the cuts on his skin reminded him of the experience with Jacob and his men the previous day. 

Now, he had a revenge system, and it worked perfectly.

The only thing he wished for at that moment was to meet Jacob and his men bullying another person, so the system would be activated and he would be able to deal with them for revenge.

Allen made his way through the bustling streets to his workplace.

He remembered all that Jacob had caused him, gave him no time to plead with his girlfriend, and utmostly denied him the only opportunity to get to the university.

Allen walked silently but hurriedly on the road as he headed for work.

A few minutes into his journey, as he hustled through the street, he saw a crowd gathered around what happened to be a scene.

Allen wondered what was going on in there but on a serious note, knowing that nothing over there concerned him.

As Allen was about to pass the scene, the system activated.

System Activated

The young man being bullied

Rescue victims and humiliate bullies

Mission reward: thirty thousand dollars.

Allen heard the system and looked around at the crowd.

He diverted his attention and went to the crowd.

“ What is going on here?” Allen asked a man who was standing by.

“ Those boys are beating a young man,” the man replied as he pointed to the middle of the crowd.

Allen tried as much as he could to navigate through the crowd and went to the middle.

On getting there, he saw the boys all beating a young man who was lying on the floor crying helplessly.

Allen was shocked to the core upon seeing who the bullies were..

He saw Jacob standing with a smile on his face while his boys beat the young man.

Allen knew his time had come.

The moment he had been waiting for all his life, he had been presented to him on a silver platter,  and now he had control.

The system was going to help him beat Jacob and his boys and humiliate them.
