Blake stood there like a Banshee statue. He looks not only devastated but heartbroken. Not for once, not even slightly, Jemina has never reacted that way to him. Anger burned through his heart. Something snapped within him. His fist tightened and he felt like punching something.

To hit something!

To vent all the pains, the mockery, the embarrassment he had been facing from the family on something.

Most of all, he felt like punching Mason's lips off his mouth. That bastard is up to something mischievous.

His eyes were red with rage and his whole body trembled with the heat of the rage.

But fighting now would complicate things more. He took a deep breath that flushed down the anger. His chest felt released as it dropped.

His tightened fist loosened slowly and his eyes cleared like clouds, the angry dying slowly.

Mason was watching with a playful smirk on his face. He was playing his game smartly.

Patriarch Walter took a step forward, his expression cold and uninviting as ever.

“You're leaving this house! And I'm giving you just three days. Just 72 hrs. 72 hrs to return my money otherwise–” He paused, a deadly smirk tugging on his lips. “You know what I can do. I can–” He paused, shaking his head gently as if the gravity of what he could do pressed his tongue down but the smirk remained on his face– threatening.

Hearing the judgment, Mason's smirk spread across his face. His head tilted slightly to the left and he was obviously pleased at Pa. Walton's declaration.

There is no way Blake is going to get that money back. That fucking wretched son-in-law! Mason was damn sure. He can bet his balls for that.

The mystery of how the $50,000 disappeared remains known to him alone.

“You have just 5 minutes to leave!” Patriarch Walter said and stormed out.

******

Inside Jemina's room, she laid on the bed, shedding her eyes out.

The door of the room swung open and Mrs. Smith walked in, leaving the door open.

“Have you seen who you married?!! A leech! A Theif!” She pointed her finger sharply in a direction. “Is that who you call a potential husband?! A potential thief!! It's just too incredible Jemina! Very incredible and –”

She continued her tirade, her words cutting like a blade, each word hurting Jemina than the first.

Blake dragged his feet into the room.

Mrs. Smith turned to him sharply, her eyes flashing anger.

“And what are you still doing here! Get your stinking life out of my daughter's life!! She doesn't need a worm like you! Enough of the harm."

Blake blinked, his chest tightened with ache. “I didn't take the money. You need to believe me, honey.”

Mrs. Smith laughed and her lips twisted in disgust. “Honey? What honey? There is no more honey, Mr. Wrecker! Just go, leave her life with your miserable life!” She spat.

Jemina's eyes kept pouring with tears.

Blake knew Jemina was utterly disappointed in him. She believed he really stole the money. It wasn't her fault.

He was evidently accused or maybe it was her fault for not trusting the man she married enough.

Blake left the house with nothing. The city was buzzing with the sound of automobiles but all of it only faded in his ear.

Blake entered a restaurant and found himself an empty seat at the corner. The hums of the customers, the clinks of glasses and the clangs of cutleries against fine plates were like a cacophony to the symphony in his heart.

Even the sweet aroma in the air hit his nose like a stench.

How is he going to get $50,000 in three days? No miracle or magic can make that happen especially for a jobless man like him.

But the system–

“Good morning sir. Welcome to fine and wine restaurants. Please what will you be getting from us ?" The voice of a female staff worker broke him out of the thought.

Blake looked up to see the young lady smiling at him. He smiled back, faintly and leaned back slightly.

“I'm not getting anything..”

The lady frowned slightly.

“I mean..I'm just here for now. I'll order something later.” He reconsidered his statement.

“Alight sir. We'll be glad to serve you with our finest.” She said politely, her smile practiced and she walked away.

Immediately she left, the smile on Blake's face dropped and only one thought occupied his mind again.

The system.

If he could afford his mother's bill with the help of the mysterious system then he can actually afford something much more.

As he was thinking. The blue hologram screen appeared before his eyes.

He startled, just slightly. He leaned backward, his chin raised slightly as he looked at the screen. He didn't want to draw attention to himself so he watched quietly.

KNOWLEDGE ON CASHFLOW: 2%

STATUS: LIABILITY

ACCOUNT BALANCE: $13,000.

MISSION: HOST IS TO SECURE A CONTRACT WITH GLOBULEX FIRM.

REWARD: UNDISCLOSED.

LEVEL: EASY.

CONSEQUENCES IF MISSION FAILS: SYSTEM WOULD HACK INTO GLOBULEX DATABASE.

Gasp!

Globulex?!

As heavy as the name sounds, so as might of the firm. Globulex is not just an ordinary company. They're monumental. No firms compete with them. They're literally the king, cloaking over other firms like clouds.

Before any company can secure contacts with them, they must have what it takes –experience, expertise, Credibility, Innovation and differentiation.

In a simpler word, the companies that must secure a contract with Globulex must stand out.

Blake's heart dropped.

And the reward. Why didn't the system disclose it? It must be something really huge. He thought.

And another thing is the consequence. If he fails the task then that means he'll be in trouble. If the Globulex database is hacked and the error is traced to him. He'll really be in a mess. Raw mess.

Blake gulped down as the thoughts sinked into his mind.

He had heard whispers and even from Jemina talking about how Globulex had rejected their proposal countless times. The Walters group were fortunate Globulex allowed them in. Some firms didn't step beyond the gigantic gate of the firm. Some were dismissed by the securities like they hold no significance.

Sigh.

Almighty Globulex.

That is the same gigantic company Blake wants to stand before– to secure the almost impossible.

And the most crazy thing. Why did the system tag the mission easy?!

His thoughts reeled.

Blake knew one thing. This system is about to change the game.

And it's just getting started.
