Chapter 5 : Captain and Lieutenant

"Hey, wake up, kid. Wake up! You can't die before you explain everything to me!" Then she checked his pulse and his heartbeat was still audible even though it was very slow. Since the white light dissipated, her eyes were closed until she was forced to take off his uniform to close his lower body.

A few seconds later, the sound from under the building was thunderous and in unison. The woman knew the voice and hoped not to get sanctioned by someone she respected very much.

BLAM!

The sound of the door slamming startled her, instantly the woman's gaze was distracted on the five people who were also wearing the same uniform. Then it was overtaken by a man who was very unexpected. Seeing a naked young man directly in front of them, all his subordinates instantly looked at the man.

"How are you going to explain all this, Lieutenant?

Distracted by the sounds of female and male conversation, Winkler awoke from his sleep, groaned and slowly raised his head. The first thing he did after waking up turned his head to the right and left, observing all the objects around him and making sure that nothing endangered his life. But when his body began to respond in pain to the twisting of the tying rope, Winkler tried to stand up but his entire body was tied tight to a wooden chair.

"What the hell? Where am I and why is my body bound?" Winkler continued to rebel until one of them hit him on the head with a thick roll of newspaper. "Ouch! It really hurts."

"You're easy to panic if you're in a state of panic, huh?" a female voice she knew very well was very ear-piercing.

"You... can you explain where we are now?"

"You're now at the police station, kid. In fact, you've actually been in our office since landing on top of this building." A man replied, holding back a laugh.

'Huh? So I myself went to a place I really hated? B*stard, why has my life always been unlucky since moving into this world?' Winkler cried inwardly.

"Introduce, my name is Lars. The people here call me Captain Lars. Then the woman who hit you is Lieutenant Clarissa. All members respect her very much for her grace and achievements."

Winkler listened as he took a sip of his saliva. It was the first time to enter the police station and his body trembled so much. Despite his ignorance, jumping over a multi-storey building without wearing clothes was certainly an attraction for the police to freeze him and hear some acceptable explanations.

But everything Winkler has experienced so far is unlikely to be tolerant of them even if the truth is just that. It's very hard to gain trust if we can't show the real. After the blow awakened his vision intact, he now realized that he was in a fairly dimly lit interrogation room and mentally suppressed.

"Lieutenant Clarissa has already told me. You sneaked into her house and borrowed her bathroom, right?"

"But I've told you everything that happened. I tell you, I..."

"Stop that nonsense of yours, boy. I've heard it all and won't take the same answer. Now tell me your reasoning or you will be jailed for three months for violating the 'unpleasant acts'. The lieutenant also told me if there was any chance of you attempting to sneak into our city at the behest of your kingdom."

"Gosh. I admit I did have a high jump but I never abused my ability for something stupid like that. Besides, what do you guys mean about my kingdom? Is it still using the monarchy system in this era?"

KRAK!

The table before them was instantly split into two halves with just one punch that Captain Lars deployed. "Stop asking questions and confuse us. It's already exceeded our working hours and I've promised my girlfriend for dinner half an hour from now."

Winkler was even more frightened, his face showing his mental state and heart condition. "If you don't accept whatever reason I say, then what are you taking me to this room for? You'd better let me go and I dare to swear you won't do that thing again, or you'll listen to what I have to say."

The wrinkles on Captain Lars' face began to show and it wasn't something the Lieutenant wanted. "Captain, let me just interrogate this young man. You can leave us both."

"Are you sure, Lieutenant? We don't know if this young man saves his abilities and will hurt you if this place only exists you?"

"Don't worry. This is indeed not your job anyway. Then don't forget the reason I was able to get the position of Lieutenant."

Captain Lars breathed a sigh of relief. After cooling his head, he left the interrogation room watching Winkler, until their eyes were completely unmet. Now it's just the two of them and the situation calms her heart a lot more.

"You're lucky when Captain Lars has an event tonight. Otherwise, I'm not even sure I can stop him when he's already furious and believes all my words."

"But it's your fault for covering up the real incident!"

"I'm not saying about your boasting about moving to another world or anything, because I didn't witness it firsthand myself. But there's one thing I see but I still don't tell Captain Lars and probably never will."

Winkler raised an eyebrow. "Tell me what you're hiding from people you respect so much. But before that let me be grateful for putting me on such an attractive uniform." He satirized the Lieutenant when the uniform he was wearing was patterned in black and white like a zebra.

"It wasn't me who helped you. But Captain Lars."

"What the…!"

Lieutenant Clarissa left the interrogation room for a moment and picked up a mirror in the other room. Winkler didn't know what the mirror was brought before him for. But what he had in mind now was the possibility that the mirror fragments would peel off his skin roughly as he continued to whine about moving to another world.
