The shock was much that Carl and Vivian kept staring at each other while Ronald's father was still holding the key.

"Take it, it's yours" he said again.

It took Carl six months after graduating from army college before he was able to buy his first car. Now, someone was giving him a car because he treated his son?

When Angel noticed that neither her mom nor Carl was ready to collect the car key.

She moved forward to collect the key from Ronald's father.

"Such a smart girl" he complimented Angel.

"This is huge. I wasn't expecting this and thank you for this" Carl finally found his voice and appreciated the man.

"It's nothing to what is coming into your way" the man replied, then he was interrupted by the ringing tone of his phone

He excused himself to pick the call.

"I have thought about it. The store is vacant and hasn't been used for a while. We will clean it up, so that you can be using it for the herbs. At this rate, you will soon get your personal office. I'm happy for you" Vivian whispered to him and grinned.

Ronald's father soon comes back and apologizes for the delay.

"Will you come inside?" Vivian immediately asked and led the way Inside.

They were all seated in the living room and Vivian served them juice.

The driver also entered with a bag.

Ronald's father unzipped the bag and brought out a bundle of dollars.

"That's a hundred thousand dollars. When will the herbs be ready?" He uttered.

"Within two days, it should be ready. You can drop your business card for me to call you when I'm done with it" Carl answered.

This time around, he was getting used to it and wasn't too surprised again. In addition, he started to behave like a professional.

"Alright. The call I received earlier was from my friend. I told him when I left the hospital earlier about Ronald's situation and he would like to meet you. In Fact, he couldn't wait for me to seek your approval as he is already on his way. He will be in the next one hour since he is coming with a chopper. I hope you are going to help him too" Ronald's father added, requesting an appointment for his friend.

As he was saying it, Vivian rushed inside to bring a pen and jotter.

"What's the nature of his ailment? We need to know since he will be here soon, so that we can be prepared " She inquired.

Ronald's father moved closer, like he was about to tell them a secret.

"There is something that he has been hiding for the past three years. His wife gave birth to a baby girl and she hasn't been okay since then. The girl couldn't sit, talk or walk. Cerebral palsy was diagnosed but all effort to make her better proved to be abortive. He is a very powerful person in society and he has been trying to hide this from the public. We will be happy if you can treat this girl and take the secret to your grave too " he explained, in a whispering tone.

"That's not bad. Carl here will work on it as long as your friend can pay him handsomely" Vivian replied like she was Carl's personal assistant.

Carl closed his eyes, trying to recall the best remedy for that kind of disease.

"Okay, no problem. We will be expecting him" he finally answered.

Ronald's father, his wife and driver Left after a while.

"This is huge!" Vivian screamed happily almost immediately as they left.

"I know. I wasn't expecting this to happen so fast. I guess heaven is on my side" Carl responded, feeling excited for the first time after his last meeting with Richard.

"What about Helen? Are you going to treat her?" Little Angel asked.

Nothing concerned her about the money, all that she was after was her friend's health.

"Sure, your mom and I will see her during her working shift tomorrow and we will think of a way to save her," Carl promised.

She was excited and started dancing happily.

"We need to give you a new look. The one of a professional healer" Vivian suggested.

"I'm not only a healer but also a fighter. I am a Warlord and will soon work towards that" he replied.

"Okay, okay, Mr Warlord. Let's barb your hair and change your outfit. Your rich patient will be here soon and you need to dress the way you want to be addressed. Follow me" she pulled him up and together, they went inside.

***

An hour later, The sound of a chopper was heard at Vivian's house. The chopper landed at a stone thrown opposite her house.

"They are here" Vivian informed Carl as she helped him to adjust his shirt.

"Alright, let's go and meet them" he answered

Both walked outside the house at the same time the girl was being brought Inside.

Vivian rushed to help the girl but Carl stopped her when he saw the girl's parents.

Alas! They were Richard and Alisha.

Richard halted his steps, likewise Alisha.

Carl wasn't amazed. He knew they were going to meet sooner or later but Richard was scared. Seeing the man he killed a few days ago was like a nightmare.

Was he hallucinating? No! Carl was alive!

Alisha was trembling upon seeing her ex-husband.

"Hi guys, are you surprised to see me here?Well, you guys ain't dreaming. It's me, Carl Maxwell, your worst nightmare!" He smirked as he introduced himself, walking closer to them.

"Y-you-you!" Richard stuttered, pointing at him.

"Yes, it's me. The person you killed is back to life and I'm sure that you would try to kill me again. Try it, kill me again and let's see if you will succeed this time" he roared like an angry lion.

Alisha ran back to hide beside her husband while Vivian was speechless, wondering what was going on.

"Are you herbalists? How the Heck is that possible?" He was damn shocked.

"Oh, you think I'm dead and who you are seeing right is a ghost? I'm happy to inform you that I made it out alive and your worst nightmare is coming to hunt you soon. I don't need to say much because I can see that heaven is helping me already. You gave birth to a deformed daughter? Wow, Incredible!" He let out a devilish smirk.

"Let's go back. This dude can't treat my daughter. There is a mix up somewhere " Richard uttered, breathing heavily as he was talking to his wife, Alisha

"He can treat her. Just give him a try and watch him treat your daughter" Vivian interrupted

That was when she got noticed by Richard and Alisha.

He paused, wondering who she might be

"Of course, I can treat his daughter but the price is huge and it isn't what money can buy. Are you ready to do it?" Carl questioned, patiently waiting for Richard's response.

Then realization struck him. Andrew. The card belonged to Andrew. Or perhaps Benjamin. He had no idea how these wealthy people's bank cards worked.Maybe it required a password, maybe it needed activation, maybe there were restrictions. Whatever the reason...He had no clue. Unfortunately...Andrew wasn't here. Earlier, he himself had insisted Andrew and the hidden bodyguards keep their distance. Now he couldn't even ask what was wrong. He sighed inwardly. Talk about bad timing. The saleswoman remained extremely polite. "Sir, would you like to try another payment method?"Carl smiled bitterly. "I only have this card." He didn't bring his bank card with him, afterall he'd been abducted in broad day light the other day. "I understand." Despite the failed transaction, she showed no trace of impatience. She simply stood there quietly. Completely different from the previous salesman. He appreciated that. At least she treated customers with respect. Outside the store, however, the first sa

The sales assistant frowned and looked Carl up and down."You were actually planning to buy something?" he asked seriously. Then he muttered under his breath,"I doubt you've ever even stepped into a luxury store before, let alone bought anything from one. Hmph... all talk."Of course, he kept his voice low enough that most people wouldn't hear him.Although he didn't think Carl was worth his time, he didn't dare make it too obvious. If he openly treated a customer badly and someone reported him, he could lose his job.Even so, Carl could easily tell what the man was thinking."Of course I came here to buy something," Carl replied calmly. "If not, why would I be here? But congratulations, you've successfully driven away a customer."The sales assistant forced out a dry laugh and waved his hands awkwardly."Ah, why would I chase away a customer? You must have misunderstood me."He quickly put on an apologetic smile."If I've done anything to offend you, then I sincerely apologize." Whi

Carl entered the luxury vehicle whose door had been respectfully opened for him.The moment he settled into the comfortable leather seat, the door closed softly behind him. A few seconds later, the convoy began moving. He glanced out the window, then he glanced again. The more he looked, the more weird he felt. In front of his vehicle were several luxury cars, and also behind his vehicle were even more luxury cars.Every of the car moved in perfect formation. The entire convoy occupied a significant portion of the road.He couldn't help feeling slightly embarrassed. It should be that he was more amused. "I look like some important government official."Andrew sat opposite him, and remained silent even after hearing him. He chuckled. "No, seriously."Still silence."Or maybe a president."Andrew continued to say nothing. Carl rubbed his chin with a sigh. Talking to Andrew was truly exhausting. Fortunately, he had expected this and had long grown accustomed to it. Since the estate w

Since his dignity had already been thrown to the ground, he decided to go with the flow. Besides, these men worked for Benjamin. It wasn't like he would keep seeing them after he left this place.Thinking about it, the last time he had gone shopping was months ago. Back when Vivian was still around. Since then, his life had become increasingly busy and stressful, except for the one week break he gave himself. One thing after another kept happening. Treating patients, studying medicine, designing his medicine room, and meeting Louis.Everything had happened so fast that he barely had time to think. Shopping had never even crossed his mind. Now that he thought about it, he really had been wearing the same few outfits over and over again. He felt slightly embarrassed.Only slightly, there was no way he was admitting that out loud."Still not going," he said firmly.Andrew wasn't surprised at all. In fact, he looked like he had expected that answer. "Mr. Benjamin insists."He rolled his e

He gave up. There was simply no point. Benjamin would return this weekend anyway. Even if Carl somehow escaped the estate, Andrew would probably track him down before he reached the front gate. The thought was depressing, and his mood got ruined instantly. With Andrew's words, he no longer has any interest in strolling anymore. He turned around heading back for his room "I'm leaving."Andrew immediately replied. "I know."Carl stopped. "...Back to my room.""I know."Carl clenched his fists. This man was definitely doing it on purpose. He had to be. Nobody could naturally be this irritating. Gia quickly stepped forward before the situation escalated further. "Young Master Carl, shall we return?"He glanced at the smiling maid. Compared to Andrew, Gia suddenly seemed like an angel."Let's go."The two began walking away. Behind them, Andrew remained standing, while watching them leave silently, until he could no longer sight them. Meanwhile, Carl didn't bother looking back. His mood

The maid looked ahead, and he followed her gaze. His expression immediately changed.A familiar figure was standing near a stone pavilion. Tall and well dressed with his usual calm demeanor. It was Andrew. Carl blinked twice. For a moment, he almost thought he was imagining things. After all, Andrew had been missing since yesterday.Andrew noticed them almost immediately. Their eyes met across the garden, and a smile appeared on his face. Not the formal smile he usually wore. This one looked genuine. He couldn't help but wonder if it was because he'd been brought here?"Young Master Carl." Andrew walked over, his hands tuck in his pocket. Carl rolled his eyes. "There it is again."Andrew chuckled. "What?""The title."Andrew's smile widened. "I'm afraid everyone has already accepted it."Carl groaned. This estate was hopeless. Still… as he walked toward Andrew, he couldn't deny something. Seeing the man unexpectedly made him feel relieved. At least now, there was finally someone aro
