"Alright, I understand, Eskar! Let’s go!"

The group arrived at the center of the reptilian tribe's settlement, where a massive pyramid stood, towering over 100 meters high. Willy stood beneath it and felt incredibly small.

Eskar walked to a platform on the east side of the pyramid, facing a dark space within the structure. He made some strange sounds. Normally, Willy wouldn't have been able to hear these noises, but for some reason, he felt them. It was as if sound waves were emanating from Eskar. After Eskar made the sound, it spread out in all directions from the base of the pyramid.

In that instant, it felt like every single reptilian in the area had been awakened. They all gathered outside their homes, gazing reverently at the pyramid, bowing their heads in unison.

"Alright, Willy, once they receive the signal, they’ll be here soon!" Eskar said with a smile.

"Eskar, is that all it takes?" Willy asked, amazed.

"Yes, haha, don&

  • 497: It Was a Test

“Are you just trying to make yourself feel noble?” Willy’s tone was calm, but his words sharp.“That’s not it!” John snapped back, anger building in his voice. “You’ll never understand the kind of relationship I have with Abigail. It’s not something you can put a price tag on!”Then he turned to Caleb and Penelope, bowed deeply, and said, “I’m sorry for intruding today. Meeting you was an honor, but I shouldn’t have come. Please tell Abigail for me—I won’t contact her again.” He quickly wiped away the tears threatening to fall and walked away.Abigail, who had heard everything from behind the wall, rushed out the moment she saw John leaving.“Brother! Look what you did—you chased him away!”Willy smirked. “Not bad. At least he’s not after your money. Go catch up to him—he’s headed the wrong way. That path leads t

  • 496: Leave Her

John stood silently, unsure how to respond to Abigail’s comment. This kind of estate—massive even by New York standards—surrounded by luxury mini-villas, gardens, parking lots... And she still wanted him to believe her parents were just “ordinary” people? He took in the surroundings with growing anxiety. As Abigail gently tugged at his hand, he snapped out of it and stepped out of the car with her.“Come on, let’s go meet my parents.”“Y-Yeah.” John clutched the gift he’d bought for her parents, but suddenly it felt embarrassingly cheap in his hands. Abigail had told him her family was well-off, but this—this was on another level. Now he just felt small. Insignificant.Abigail, noticing his unease, tightened her grip on his hand and led him through the parking area to the front of the estate. The staff were all busy prepping for a barbecue at Abigail’s suggestion.“

  • 495: Embarrassing Moment

“That whole thing with the tests—Violet was in on it too!” Willy quickly shifted the blame.“What? Me? I—uh—I didn’t do anything!” Violet stammered, clearly flustered.“Hahaha, look at her—scared stiff! But come on, what do you think of my judgment now?”“Not that great!” Abigail snapped. “All you proved is that he’s brave, willing to protect me, and not a perv. Sure, he won’t get seduced by anyone, but honestly, with how he looks, no one in New York is going to try seducing him anyway. As for everything else? I’m not optimistic.”“Seriously!? Weren’t you the one talking about giving him a chance? John just needs the right opportunity!”“Heh, relax. You’re so worked up. If you two ever get married, do you think I’d butt in? But before that, I think it’s time you bring him home and let Mom and Dad meet

  • 494: These People Are Truly Monsters

“Here’s the deal, Mom and Dad, give me their contact details, and I’ll ask them directly. If what you’re saying is true, I’ll consider meeting them. But if I was intentionally abandoned, then I will never meet them—no matter what!” Abigail said, her voice trembling with anger.“Alright... fine,” Caleb replied reluctantly, pulling out his phone and showing Abigail a number. What happened next shocked everyone: Abigail immediately dialed the number and put the call on speaker.A few seconds later, a woman’s voice came through the line: “Hello, who’s this?”“Hi, is this the person who called The Morgan Family today, saying that the daughter they adopted is your biological child?”“Yeah, that’s me. Are you the girl?”“Yes, it’s me.”“Oh my God, that’s great! I’m your mother! Are you marri

  • 493: Heartache

“Actually, it’s nothing much... I’ve just started dating someone. We officially became a couple today!”“Hehe, having a boyfriend is a good thing! Why are you so embarrassed? How old is he? Is he a classmate of yours?”“He’s not a classmate... we met outside of school. He’s the same age as my brother—25 this year.”“Met outside? What does his family do? Is he from New York?” Caleb’s barrage of questions made Abigail more and more anxious. John had nothing to his name, and his situation wasn’t exactly great.“He’s from out of town, but he works in New York now and has even brought his mom here. I’ve known him for a few years. He’s always looked out for me, and he’s really genuine. He treats me well.”“Oh! As long as he treats you well, that’s fine. What does he do for work?”“He&he

  • 492: Heavy Hearts

“Hmm, well… it sounds like he really respects you—letting you decide for yourself. It’s up to you. Just, considering his situation doesn’t seem all that great, you should probably talk to Mom and Dad about your relationship. Sooner or later, they’ll have to meet him, especially now that you two are officially together.”“I’m just afraid they won’t approve...”“If I’m there, I’ll back you up.”“Thanks, really! I’ll talk to them tonight!”“Heh, then I’ll have the driver and nanny bring the three kids to the Morgen estate tonight. Let’s all have dinner together.”“Sounds good! I’m going back to work now.”Willy contacted their parents and arranged for the driver to bring the nanny and the three kids straight to the Morgen family home. He told his parents they’d all have dinner together and

  • 491: You’re My First Love

“Oh my God! That’s insane! That kind of thing only happens in cheesy TV dramas! And wait—you’re saying his family is some kind of old money dynasty? Are you telling me Abigail comes from a powerful family?”“Hmm, not exactly. It’s complicated. I’ll try to explain simply—my dad is the third son in their family, but the eldest, second, and third sons all had different mothers. And their family—the Morgan family—used to be one of the top-ranking families in Washington. Super wealthy. So of course there were internal power struggles. My poor brother got caught in the middle and was stolen right after birth! My current parents spent years looking for him, and in the process, they found me—abandoned too—and took me in.”“So you were also abandoned as a child? Abigail, that’s heartbreaking. At least your current parents took care of you... But how did they finally find your brother

  • 490: I Want to Invite You to My House

It wasn’t that John didn’t like beautiful, curvy women. It’s just that ever since he was a kid, he’d been haunted by the memory of his father leaving him and his mom for a stunning woman. From that moment on, he had a deep-rooted distrust—maybe even resentment—toward women who looked too perfect. Whether it was psychological or just trauma he hadn’t dealt with, the result was the same: beautiful women didn’t get a warm reception from him.“Boss, what’s with that guy? I actually fell, and he just stood there like I didn’t exist! He’s got zero compassion. And I wasn’t even acting—I really hit the ground hard. It hurt like hell!”“Haha, thanks for taking one for the team. I just wanted to test him a bit, but I still can’t tell if he’s the loyal type. One thing’s clear though—he really doesn’t like pretty girls. I saw the way

  • 489: Are You Sending a Package?

Abigail stared at her brother in disbelief. She had expected Willy to tell her to break things off with John—after all, the two of them came from completely different worlds. Their values, education, social status—none of it matched.“You’re really not concerned about his background or family situation?”“Do you care about that?”“I...”“Come on. With our kind of status, does it even matter what kind of background someone has? Take me for example—if I weren’t married or didn’t have kids, and I were looking for someone with a ‘matching’ background, I’d need to marry some rich woman, right? I’m the richest man around! You’ve seen those top-listed heiresses—they’re all in their fifties or sixties. Should I go marry one of them?”“But when you married Violet, you two were a perfect match!”&l
