"That was quick, not that I am complaining. This is great news!" Mr Robert was a little bit surprised but happy, nonetheless.

"I am free throughout today, so meet me at the address that I would send to you in a few seconds," He added, and the call ended. Soon after, a message containing the address popped up on James's screen.

The address that was sent was the location of a very expensive 5-star restaurant, Celestial Bites.

It was a restaurant James had taken Lilian to one day to cheer her up after losing a fashion design exhibition.

To put it well, James wasn't the one who brought up the idea to go to Celestia Bites; heck, he didn't even know Celestial Bites existed until Lilian brought it up and coaxed him into going there.

He had his suspicions when he arrived at the restaurant to see how large and way up high the building was. And when he entered the building, he didn't need an advisor to tell him that whatever he ordered, even though it was as little as an orange juice would dig a very deep hole into his pocket. Lilian and he argued as they left the restaurant per James' orders.

James grabbed his coat and draped it around his shoulders. The last thing he wanted to do was to think about Lilian. He made his way out of the house to the warmly lit restaurant down the street.

When he arrived, he noticed a bustling crowd gathered in front of the towering skyscraper, along with very expensive and shiny cars parked at the side. Not a single car worth less than $70,000 was in sight. The people gathered in front weren't just any normal people – they were rich and well-known individuals, and they all had deep frowns on their faces as they displayed their dissatisfaction.

"What do you mean we should all get out? Who do you think we are??!"

"How unprofessional! If you don't let us all in, this restaurant is going down and no one is gonna save it from doing so!"

"Please, Sirs, The whole restaurant was booked exclusively by Mr. Robert and the restaurant would be opened again for other influential individuals to come in after a few hours. Please try to understand" One of the security men blocking the entrance spoke calmly.

Everyone gathered flinched in bewilderment. Mr. Robert?

He was in the country?

Since when?

James slipped his hands into his pockets and made his way through the crowds until he reached the heavily guarded door. The guards seemed to have been informed about his arrival beforehand, as they let him in without asking any questions or giving suspicious glares.

"Wait! Why is he allowed to enter but we can't?" Lilian's annoying voice was heard and James sighed.

It was as if she had blended with his shadows. Anywhere he goes, she is always there, dropping sarcastic comments and snarling at him anytime she gets.

James ignored her as he walked further into the restaurant. Just a few days remained before he could teach her a lesson.

He did everything he could to make his wife and child happy but all he was rewarded at the end was deceit. Not just any little deceit, but the fact that their child wasn't his was like a huge slap to his face. That slap was painful but it opened his eyes.

Just a few days more and he would teach her a very big lesson for deceiving him without having even the tiniest atom of guilt.

Outside the restaurant, all the men and women gathered in front of the restaurant slowly started to leave. Only Lilian and Mr. Bill remained, feeling insulted and angry that James was let in but not them.

It was like a slap to their faces.

Lilian went on her tiptoes, trying to peep through the door of the restaurant even though it was impossible cause the door was tightly shut by the security man.

”There must be a problem somewhere; why is that poor stinking bastard allowed to get in, but My fiancee and I can't? Do you know who my fiancee is? He is Mr Bill, a Millionaire!"

"Ma'am, if you continue to insult Mr. Robert's guest, I will no longer be polite. Please respect yourself and do not cause trouble for others," another security man spoke with a serious face.

"What? Mr Robert's guest? You must be mistaken, maybe there was a mix-up somewhere!" Lilian said, nodding her head as if to reassure herself.

"Stop it, Let's leave. The last thing I would want to do is to get into Mr Robert's bad side. We could go to another restaurant," Mr. Bill said, then he placed his fingers under his jaw, thinking hard, "How about Elysian? It's a restaurant close enough to Celestial Bites"

Lilian gritted her teeth before turning to leave. Elysian was just as magnificent and expensive as Celestial Bites but Lilian was still not better even as they made their way there.

She hated the fact that she had to seek and go to an alternative restaurant cause Bill wasn't rich enough!

Meanwhile, inside the restaurant. James was very amazed by the restaurant's interior design and overall look.

Celestial Bites is a towering skyscraper with reflective glass walls. James' was escorted to a suite. At the top, the exclusive Starlight Suite features floor-to-ceiling glass, offering 360-degree city views. A floating glass dining table, plush velvet chairs, and constellation-inspired lights create a luxurious atmosphere. A private glass bar and sleek lounge complete the space, while the bathroom, with frosted glass and star-shaped lights, adds a final touch of elegance.

James' looked around and saw Mr Robert sitting on a chair with his right crossed on top of the other. "I've been waiting for your arrival. It seems like you took quite a while to get here. I'm curious, did you make the journey on foot??"

James nodded, taking a seat in front of Mr Robert. His eyes darted toward the floating table in the middle of both of them to see a stack of documents on it.

"Here is the transfer agreement. You can go through it while having any meal of your choice"

Bella guided James toward the bathroom, her hand steady on his arm. Despite his weakened state, his presence remained indomitable—his heat, his scent, everything about him screamed raw masculinity. Her gaze flickered down without thinking, and her eyes widened slightly."Wow," she blurted out before she could stop herself, her cheeks burning. "You're, uh, big."James's brows shot up despite the haze clouding his mind. "Bella," he drawled, his voice rough but teasing, "If you keep looking at me like that, I might take you up on that ride idea."What? At this point, he might tell Bella to tie both his hands and his mouth until the drug effect wears off. Her head snapped up, eyes wide. "I was just....oh, shut up!" she sputtered, pushing him toward the bathtub. "Stop being so cocky."He arched a brow as he leaned back against the edge of the tub for support. A minute passed, and then five minutes went by as they engaged in a staring contest. Finally, James spoke, "Trying to sneak a peak

James leaned heavily against the door, struggling against the effects of the drug coursing through his system. His mind felt clouded, his body buzzing with a heat he didn’t want. But amid the haze, his anger was sharp, cutting through the fog. He moved to the table and got rid of the incense. Lilian’s voice penetrated through the door, sweet and coaxing. “James… please, I know you're hurting. Let me help you. I can make you feel better, I can help you cum... It’ll make it all go away. Just let me in.” Her words were like poison and despite the dizziness, his fists clenched. “You really think I’m that pathetic?” he spat, his voice low but laced with contempt. “That I’d fall for this again? You think I’m that weak?” “James, please…” Lilian's voice quivered, desperate. “You don’t understand. You need this. I can make it stop… I can make you feel good. Let me help you release. Please. Don’t push me away.” James took a slow, deliberate breath, the anger inside him boiling as he s

There was silence for a very long time then James broke the silence, his voice firm. "Have you tried explaining things to him? Telling him your side of the story?"Robert sighed, leaning back in his chair and pressing a hand to his forehead. "I’ve tried, James. Many times. After your mother eloped with me, I reached out to Marcus. I wrote him letters, called him, even showed up at his doorstep numerous times. But he only got mad and wouldn’t listen. At this point, there’s nothing I can say to change his mind."Robert sighed deeply, his shoulders slumping as he continued. "He believes Evelyn didn’t die of natural causes. That someone—maybe even me—hastened her death."The words hung in the air like a cloud, heavy and suffocating.James’s voice dropped, cold and steady. "Why would he think that?"Robert looked away, his gaze distant. "Your mother’s decline was... sudden. Too sudden for some to accept. Marcus always suspected foul play, but he never had any proof.
