As Mrs. Stark left the room Daniel couldn't help but feel bad for what had just transpired. He had just brought himself to lie to his mother when in fact he should be telling the truth.

I'm just so stupid! Daniel almost hit himself with his phone. I was just this close to telling her! I bet she was even sympathizing with the Werewolves since they weren't really in their senses. I could see her expression. Why didn't I tell her then seeing that expression of hers?

But Daniel knew why he couldn't bring himself to tell her. She loved him greatly and that was the thing that got in the way of telling the truth. He had seen the alarm in her when he had lied about taking a serum. She had been so alarmed that she didn't even bother to think about the story at all—if it was genuine or not.

They should be able to understand me, won't they?"What's on your mind, Darling?" Mrs. Stark asked. She had noticed her husband's worried look. They had been out of all their troubles so what was there to fuss about?"Actually, I wanted to tell you this earlier," Mr. Stark said to them, "but I didn't know how to go about it."Don't tell me, Daniel thought inwardly as he glanced at his mother. Daniel woke up feeling very energized and positive. Why shouldn't he? He had been through several frenziedly situations, tiring himself out both mentally and physically. That night Daniel realized the meaning of being late. Before he was even in the Curious Mythologists group chat all the other six or so members were already there, chatting away. There were so many messages that he reckoned to be at least a hundred of them. He took his time to read the previous messages to catch up with the others.Of course the others could see that the legendary 16-year old Wolfman who had saved the world using Furs' powers was here. Crying God was the first to type as usual:"Hey, weakling. Never knew you were such a casual latecomer and snubber.""What's your business with him being late?" Crimson Moon typed straight away. He felt it was his duty to thrash talk Daniel and as a good citizen, he wouldn't let others do his job. He wasn't even afraid that Crying God was a Path four, Combat Magician."You wanna know my business with him? How about you kowtow to me and call me daddy!" Crying God enjoyed dissing. He didn't even care about his reputation as one of the pow

  • Chapter Ninety Six: True Heroes

Daniel felt a blinding light engulf him and Orpheus, sucking them from the Center of the Omniverse. He closed his eyes, feeling the mysterious energy which ran through him. Obviously it came from the Center of the Omniverse, the origin of all stories within the Omniverse. He didn't know how long he was engulfed in the light but he knew a long time had past, a really long time had passed.I wonder how Orpheus is doing, Daniel thought within himself. This Crimsone who had harboured some hatred towards him had turned out to be the most reliable friend he had. Both of them had even fought side-by-side, escaping death several time. If what Cassio had told him was true—about the entire Omniverse being his dream and his entire life being a story in the Omniverse—did it mean he and Orpheus were the two main protagonists of their story? He was still thinking when he felt the light fading around him, his eyelids quivering as they opened gradually.~Five hours had passed but no one had left.
