First Sign-In! Supreme Cultivation Talent!

‘Finally! My golden finger has arrived!’

Although Shengli was overwhelmed with excitement, he didn’t forget to conceal his excitement instead of shouting and stupidly revealing the existence of the system.

As the saying went, the walls have ears. And that held true for powerful cultivators in the Transcendence Sect who could use Qi Sense to a terrifying degree!

Because of that, Shengli was cautious when it came to formulating his words. He didn’t want anyone to know that he possessed a system.

It was like a poor man stumbling upon a treasure chest filled with gold. The poor man didn’t have the power to protect his wealth so taking it would endanger him. So the poor man could only take all of the gold in the treasure chest but spend the money secretly until he was powerful enough to protect his wealth.

That was Shengli’s current situation. Unless he was powerful enough to protect the existence of his system, he wouldn’t allow anyone to keep their lives when they accidentally found out about the existence of his system!

‘System, what are your features?’

Shengli cautiously communicated with his system via his thoughts.

[The Cultivation Sign-In System has three features. Sign-In, Inventory, and Status.]

[Sign-In is divided into two types. Daily Sign-In and Location Sign-In.]

[Daily Sign-In only needs the host to activate the feature daily to receive rewards from the system. Rewards vary from artifacts, cultivation techniques, cultivation resources, physiques, talents, or anything regarding cultivation. Sign-in Rewards are graded from lowest to highest: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, Starlight, Emperor, Heaven, God, Supreme]

[Location Sign-In needs special requirements to activate. The host must arrive at a special location and activate the feature to receive sign-in rewards. A special location can only be used once but the feature can be used as many as there are special locations in the world. Unlike Daily Sign-In rewards, the reward grades of Location Sign-In start at Rare grade until Supreme grade.]

[Inventory is a feature that stores anything, even living entities and conceptual matters. But storing living entities as well as conceptual matters will have special requirements before they can be stored unlike when storing non-living objects. All Sign-In rewards will be stored in the Inventory unless the host immediately used the sign-in reward.]

[Status is a simple feature that displays the host’s status. Whether it is age, physique, or  talent, it will be displayed as long as it is related to the host.]

Multiple system screens appeared in front of Shengli which displayed text explanations of every system feature. It was even accompanied by the system’s cold robotic AI tone!

When Shengli finished comprehending all of the system features, he asked the system a question out of curiosity.

‘Aside from those three features, do you have any other features, system? Like, can you answer questions of mine varying from cultivation to solving formations?’

Seeing that the system didn’t answer his question but showed a system screen with nothing but three periods, Shengli knew that the system’s silence meant that aside from the three system features, the system wouldn’t respond to him.

To be honest, Shengli was relieved that his system was normal, as it should be. By normal, it meant that the system wasn’t sentient or have a tsundere-like personality whose only purpose was to annoy its host.

Shengli was annoyed when he read system novels with abnormal systems and because of that, he was glad that his system wasn’t abnormal. Aside from the three features, his system seemed to have no intentions of communicating with him which were what a normal system should do.

After acknowledging the system for its normality in his mind, Shengli decided to use the daily sign-in feature.

‘System, use the daily-sign feature.’

[Since it’s the host’s first sign-in, the host will receive a random Supreme Grade reward!]

[Sign-in Complete! Host receives Supreme Cultivation Talent!]

Shengli felt like he had won the lottery. Not just a normal lottery but the jackpot prize.

He even doubted whether it was a dream. After all, he kept on cursing his trash talent but after receiving his system, he got a Supreme Cultivation Talent?

Although he knew that he wouldn’t receive a Supreme Grade sign-in reward in his next sign-in since it was a one-time thing, he was still fortunate enough that he received a Supreme Grade cultivation talent instead of an artifact or physique.

After all, what he currently needed the most was something to fix his trash talent which was the purpose of the first sign-in reward that he had received. If his talent remained trashy, then he would be expelled from the sect.

Fortunately, the heavens, or rather, the system pitied him enough to grant him a Supreme Grade cultivation talent.

‘System, use the Supreme Cultivation Talent.’

Shengli discovered that if he didn’t command the system, the system wouldn’t use the rewards he received. He was glad that the system wouldn’t do anything against his own will.

So after commanding the system, the system activated the Supreme Cultivation Talent reward and integrated it into Shengli.

A warm but soothing sensation enveloped his body as if he was submerging himself in a hot spring. Afterward, the warm sensation stopped but Shengli felt that something changed in his body.

If before, Shengli felt a shackle that prevented him from breaking through the third stage of Qi Refining. Now, he no longer has that problem as Shengli felt that he could break through the third stage and attain the fourth stage.

And from what Shengli observed, the spiritual Qi from his surroundings was converging toward him. The spiritual Qi entered his body until it reached his Qi Sea, where all of a Qi Refining cultivator’s Qi was stored.

After several seconds of passively absorbing spiritual Qi passed, Shengli broke through the third stage and attained the fourth stage of Qi Refining!

But that’s not all! By doing nothing, Shengli’s cultivation realm kept on soaring!

From the fourth stage to the fifth stage. Eventually, Shengli’s cultivation realm was currently at Qi Refining 9th Stage. In just a few minutes, Shengli was now the strongest outer disciple in the outer yard!

Not to mention, Shengli even felt that he could break through Qi Refining and attain Core Formation. But Shengli didn’t do that as he felt the spiritual Qi in his body became purer, as it passively absorb spiritual Qi from the surroundings to increase the quality of his Qi.

Shengli knew that if he reached the higher realms in the Mortal Realm, his cultivation speed wouldn’t be that fast. But from the information he received after integrating with the Supreme Cultivation talent, the greatest feature of it was cultivation without having any bottlenecks!

In other words, Shengli’s path of cultivation will never be hindered by so-called bottlenecks that existed at the peak of every cultivation realm or even in the cultivation stages. Becoming immortal was only a matter of time and cultivation resources for Shengli.

‘For now, I’ll suppress my cultivation realm to Qi Refining 9th Stage. By doing so, I can increase the quality of the refined Qi within my Qi Sea.’

After deciding that, Shengli sat on his wooden bed in a lotus position. While meditating, he was increasing the absorption rate of spiritual Qi that was being transferred toward his body.

After spending time for several hours worth of meditation, Shengli found out that he could no longer increase the quality of his Qi. He didn’t force it and went outside his house with confidence.

Unlike before when he was afraid of his bullies, he was no longer afraid as he was currently stronger than them.

With that confidence in mind, Shengli headed to the outer training ground for the yearly talent appraisal event. Otherwise, he would be expelled from the sect if Elder Sword was displeased with him!
