Navin seemed to wake up from a nightmare, his forehead covered in sweat.

“I’m still alive? Where is this?”

He thought he was dead, but he was still breathing freely, so someone must have helped him.

This place looked safe. But it was too unfamiliar to him. Moreover, he felt this place shaking a little like in an elevator in a building.

“What? This place is under the sea?”

As soon as he turned to the left – to the transparent glass window, Navin found a view of the deep ocean that was a little dark like an aquarium.

“Submarine? I’m in a submarine?” That was the only explanation that made sense to Navin.

But who would dare to use a submarine in the Republic of Gray territory? Could it be a spy?

“Oh, you're awake?” The door opened, an old man with white hair approached and he sat on a chair near the bed.

Navin remembered that the old man was the person he saw before he passed out. So it was certain, that person was his savior.

“I’m Navin. You saved my life, I owe you.” Navin thought that the old man might be an enemy of the Military Continent, but he should still be grateful.

“You can call me Larson. I actually want to apologize.”

“Why?”

“You had a heart failure, so I had to do something dangerous to save you.”

“I’m still alive, so it’s okay.” Navin didn’t understand where the problem lay.

“The Welkin-chip is a rare chip sought after by all the higher-ups of the Military Continent.

This chip is the only one in the world. Someone would even kill to get it.” Professor Larson explained patiently.

Navin didn't know why Larson brought that up, but he followed the topic.

“I’ve heard something about the Welkin-chip, but there’s nothing good about it.

People say that the chip is fought over because it can destroy the world.” Navin recalled the rumors circulating.

Many said that the chip had fallen into the hands of the Green Poison – the most evil group in the Republic Gray.

Anyone who had the Welkin-chip was definitely an enemy of the entire world. So from that, Navin hoped that he didn’t hear what he was thinking.

“Don’t tell me…” Navin touched his left chest.

“That’s right. I had to implant a Welkin-chip in your heart.” Professor Larson lowered his head. “I had no choice. There’s no way I’d let someone die before his eyes.”

“Wait a minute… if this is a Welkin-chip, then you are…” Navin didn’t expect to meet someone so scary.

“That’s right, I’m the person called the Mad Scientist.” After Professor Larson said that, the atmosphere turned silent and cold.

The soldiers searched various areas. However, no one found the location of the Mad Scientist.

So it was really unexpected, it turned out that he was hiding in the ocean not too far from Chloe City – the capital of the Republic of Gray.

‘It’s hard to believe, but this is what the Mad Scientist looks like.’ Navin imagined something very different.

Navin had heard stories about the Mad Scientist since he was little, so everyone imagined the Mad Scientist to be a tall, big, scary man.

But Navin found the Mad Scientist to be just an ordinary old man who didn’t look dangerous.

“Why? Are you afraid?” Professor Larson smiled, but his eyes were not.

“Since you saved me, you are a good person. Besides, you implanted the Welkin-chip in my heart, now we are on the same boat.”

Mad Scientist became a fugitive because he created the Welkin-chip, causing many parties to fight over it, causing great chaos.

Most people thought that Mad Scientist deliberately caused the chaos for fun.

But Mad Scientist was willing to give the Welkin-chip to save someone’s life, so it was certain that Professor Larson was not as evil as others said.

So rather than listening to other people’s words, Navin believed the evidence before his eyes.

“Thank goodness you are not bothered by my identity. I hope you can keep my secret from others.”

“You are my savior, of course I will not betray you.”

“Thank you, but since you have the Welkin-chip in your body, you have to shoulder great responsibility!”

“What do you mean?”

“I created the Welkin-chip to create peace. So as the owner of the Welkin-chip, you must train hard to increase your strength.”

It turned out that it was not to create destruction, but the Welkin-chip was created to end the war.

So from Larson’s words, Navin could conclude that there was someone who was twisting the facts.

“You also have to strengthen your werewolf body.” Professor Larson said something unexpected.

“What? Werewolf body?” Navin thought he had heard wrong.

But Professor Larson nodded. “You were seriously injured before. If you were a normal person, it would take you a month to fully recover.

But it only took a few hours for your wounds to dry up and even disappear.

After I examine it, it turns out that your blood contains werewolf DNA.

So, that DNA is what causes you to be unable to receive the upgrade injection.”

Werewolves are creatures that come from the Mage Continent. All creatures or humans that come from that continent must have Magic Power in them.

“People accuse me of being a cultivator, but I’m a Mage?” Navin found it hard to digest this.

“It could be that you’re also a cultivator.”

Hearing that, Navin became afraid to check it. If he really was a Cultivator and a Mage, then what would happen to him? Would he become the enemy of the whole world?

“I know what you’re thinking. But there’s no point in thinking about it.

Besides, if the Welkin-chip is removed, you’ll die.” Professor Larson implied that Navin had no way home.

Larson continued: “Now call Elsie.” The professor told him how to activate the Welkin-chip.

Navin thought Professor Larson had a point. He had accepted the Welkin-chip to live, so there must be consequences that he had to accept.

“Elsie. Listen to my call.” Navin called out the name as Professor Larson said.

Not long after that, a woman's voice was heard in Navin's head.

"Welkin-chip has been activated, Elsie is ready to guide you, Master."

The woman's voice could not be heard by Professor Larson. At the same time, Navin saw a transparent window that showed statistics.

"What? Spiritual Power?" Navin's eyes widened. "So it's true, I'm a Cultivator and a Mage?"

So maybe Navin’s father was a cultivator and his mother was a Mage, or maybe the other way around.

Professor Larson didn’t expect it either, but he nodded in satisfaction. ‘Jackpot! After a hundred experiments, I saved the right person!

So now I just need to guide him to become strong quickly. But of course strictness is needed.’

Actually, Professor Larson had been looking for someone like Navin for a long time, but because he didn’t find the right criteria, he hid the Welkin-chip for a long time.

Larson saved Navin, but his intentions were not that pure. There was no way he would hand the Welkin-chip over to a stranger who had no value in his eyes.

But how did Professor Larson detect the Spiritual Power and Magic Power in Navin?

The answer was simple, Professor Larson had a device on his submarine.

So in order to avoid getting into trouble, he created a sensor that could detect any energy that approached.

But he didn’t expect to find two energies in Navin’s body who almost drowned in the ocean.

“I have both of them, but why haven’t I been able to use them all this time?” Navin felt that this didn’t make sense.

“Spiritual Power is positive energy, while Magic Power is negative energy. Then what is 1+(-1) equal to?” Professor Larson’s words made Navin’s eyes widen.

“0!” Navin knew the answer to Larson’s question was always zero.

“You’re right, the result is 0, but the Welkin-chip can synchronize more than one energy, so from now on, both energies can be used simultaneously.”

“This is truly amazing.” Navin nodded slowly. It was hard to believe that such technology existed, it must have been made by a very genius scientist.

But the scientist who was thought to be a genius seemed crazy, just like his nickname.

“Purple Armor, Activate!” Professor Larson muttered, a dimensional circle suddenly appeared near him.

The dimension produced various armor parts which were then installed on Larson’s body, including the helmet.

(The colors of the robot armor, from weakest to strongest: Yellow, Orange, Green, Blue, Purple, Red, Maroon, Gray, Black.)

“Why did you suddenly activate your robot armor here?”

Navin had not yet received an answer, but Professor Larson had caught the young man's body.

"What do you want to do-"

Professor Larson pressed the button near the window, immediately he and Navin moved from the room to outside the submarine.

Navin had difficulty breathing due to the pressure of the deep sea water, Professor Larson instead took him swimming through the sea, towards the light from the surface.

So thanks to the motor under his armor, Professor Larsen swam as fast as a shark.

Professor Larson relaxed behind his waterproof helmet, but Navin puffed out his cheeks and held his breath, so as not to drink more water.

It didn't take long before they reached the surface, the motor under Larson's armor turned into a rocket turbine, making the old man fly above the surface of the water.

"Aaaaaaaaa .... Where are you taking me?"

After the terrifying water experience, Navin almost fainted.

But this time it was no less terrifying, Navin had to deal with the wind.

The wind blew hard on every skin on his face until it made his gums dry. So, he had to struggle to close his mouth so as not to swallow more wind.

It didn't take long before the two of them arrived at a fairly large island. But strangely, the sky above this island was always cloudy.

Professor Larson was relaxed, looking at the forest that decorated the island.

But Navin was sweating, touching his knees and vomiting the contents of his stomach.

"Where is this?" Navin asked after adjusting his irregular breathing.

"Island of a Thousand Monsters."

"What!? We are on that dangerous island? Are you crazy? We could die!"

"Die? You're the one who dies."

After saying that, Professor Larson turned around and flew at high speed above the sea surface.

But he forgot about Navin.

"No! Don't leave me, Professor!" Navin reached out to grab Larson.

But in the end, Navin could only watch Professor Larson disappear into the distance.

"A few minutes ago he was a very warm person!" Navin took a deep breath, Professor Larson turned out to be a cruel person!

A loud growl like a tiger was heard, Navin shuddered as he turned his head back – to the source of the sound.

“What is that?” Navin gulped, but whatever it was, it must have been a very scary creature. “This place is inhabited by dangerous creatures. Am I going to die here?”
