ch 8: Dark pulse

Few minutes back

The warehouse was peaceful except for some rats scruing around some garbage in the corner. Mad kong sat on a concrete block, he was about 2.5 meters tall enough for his backward joint to be stretched out. It appeared to be like he was in a deep hazy dream as his yellow visors dimed head lowered- slow sounds breath released to show that he was still alive.

Suddenly his visor lit up with blinding light as it whipped up meeting with a small circular cylinder falling from above. His danger sense bleared- that thing was destructive

He quickly entered battle mode standing upright metallic parts shifting forming into a crest shaped shield he aimed to the sky meeting the object

BOOOOOOOOOM!

His form sank joint meeting the floor as the entire suit quaked violently shield hollowed in from the blast, lightning sparked over this form with purple glow aggravating his injuries dropping his battle prowess to almost zero.

The purple sparks attacked his neural port and interface located at the back of his neck in-between his shoulder-frying them

ArrhhHHHHHHH! He cried out in agony visor shining red then suddenly a deep red hue- a deadly energy radiating outwardly with every pulse

Badum! Badum! A loud heart thump rang out in sync with his bodily pulse. Survival instinct kicked in Rampage mode activated.

"WHO IS THE VIRMINNNNN!!!" A loud rough shook the area radiating for thousands of meters staring up dirt and dust

He leaned down, jump charging and boom! Crack lined the ground as he took to the skies. Scanning his neural in face quickly locked on Rex a red box around his form.

Hand slammed-finger interlinked raised high for a gorilla slam, he plugged down at lightning speed aiming for his head

[DANGER! TARGET DESCENDING AT TOP SPEED

FATALITY RATE: UTTER OBLIRATION!

SUITABLE COUNTER MEASURE: CALCULATING...]

Jax's voice sounded as his vision slowed as he watched Mad kong fall from the air heading in his direction with full force

" Oh shit! " His life flashed.....all the suffering.....pain...struggles. Now this new life...was this how he was going to die?

Jax's frantic electronic voice echoed through his neural interface No!

Thrusters suddenly whired to life releasing blinding light as they powered to the extreme and boom! That blasted him hundred meters backwards in an instant at the same time he unslugged the black box he held all this time. The box quickly dismantled reforming into something like a RPG but with a glowing death energy blaster rotating at the tip releasing sonic waves-

BOOOOM! Kong hit the spot he was previously at with earth shattering force sending block of earth and soil in all directions dust filling the air blocking Rex view,the shockwave threw him a few feet back

"Jax where is hell his he!! " Rax asked panicked terror lining his features. Death felt so close he could smell it so with sheer willpower he had no collapsed trembling.

[Scanning for target....ten meters.....eight meters....]

Eyes widening as his visor caught a moving shadow admist the dust and dirt, moving with terrifying speed. He aimed the cannon to his front....powered to the extreme and...

A metallic figure burst out from the dust huge robotic arm going for a punch- Mad kong

Click- he pressed the trigger

Zzzt-BOOM!

A dark ray ejected heading towards Kong with deadly force sending shockwave in all directions. The force sending Rex skidding back

Bang! Kong and the ray collided staring up shockwaves. Kong was sent tumbling back a few meters back flipping in the air and landing on his feet a deep trench in the ground.

Sizzle sizzle!

His cybernetic arms bore the brunt of the dark ray squeaking with metallic tings, riddled with holes melting. Burnt up circuit waffled up the air.

His right arm was in ruin...dangling, his injuries aggravated further as the purple sparks snaked his body roasting his innards. Melting in some cases

"Arghhh! who are you vermin" he roared filled with anger and fear, you could tell he was in a lot of pain.

Hah! Rex trembled gasping eyes squinted behind visor " Access" he thought

[Scanning..... corruption energy has riddled his form eating away at his bionics and neural interface

He finally let out a sigh of relief, the dark cannon was powered to max useless after one use. If that didn't take kong down with that, then it will be gun fights and arm combat which he wasn't versed in...yet.

Still alert, he looked at Mad kong on the ground " I need your head" he said

"....chuckle, so you are a merc? Never expected that and one a kind to o" he said raising his head, his visor blinking " what are those energy, they are.... interesting?" His deep graty voice boomed like thunder across the plane.

The wind fluttered slightly staring up dirt and dust Rax cloack fluttering slightly the moon shining it's purple glow on them

" None of your business, just produce your head"

"Ahhh feisty one, and you sound young...."

Kong continued the convo asking with Rex retorting

[Sir a discreet energy signal is rapidly growing inside the target, from the situation I accessesd he is trying to stail for time, while maxing out his chromes. Probably a last ditch effort to take your down with him since he is almost vulnerable....]

Eyes widening before narrowing of course this was Mad kong a level 3 wanted fugitive, he wasn't going to pep talk with his killer and naturally won't go down without a fight

The "Mad" in the name was certainly not for show

Rex thought spun, "what to do...what to do?". He was certain if he showed any sign of escaping Mad king Wil attack and he certainly wasn't faster than him an enhanced and augmented individual even in its weakened state.

The convo keep flowing with Rex trying to keep it cool and Kong maxing out his form- wanting a killing shot.

One trying to live, the other trying to die..
