He wasn't going to let that happen again.
This time, he was going to sneak in. There was a blind spot. A way into the house that almost no one knew about. Not even Megan. It was a small door at the back of the house, near the bathroom. It connected to the outside through a narrow alley that most people forgot existed. He'd only used it once or twice, years ago, when he lost his keys.
No one would expect him to come through there.
He moved quickly, staying low, keeping to the shadows. The rain helped. It blurred the streetlights and muffled his footsteps. He made his way around the block, cutting through side streets until he reached the back alley behind his building.
There it was. The door. Rusted. Half-hidden behind an old dumpster.
He pulled out his phone and checked that it was recording. The screen glowed faintly in the dark. He didn't know exactly what he was going to find inside, but this time, he wasn't going in empty-handed.
This time, he was going to get evidence.
Damian moved fast. He slipped through the back alley and found the old door near the bathroom. The same one he'd remembered. It was unlocked, just like always. No one ever used it. No one even thought about it.
He pushed it open slowly, careful not to make a sound. The hinges creaked a little, but the rain outside covered it. He stepped inside and closed the door behind him.
The house was quiet except for the faint sounds coming from upstairs.
He stood still for a moment, listening. His heart was pounding, but his mind was clear. Focused. He wasn't the same man who walked in here before. That version of him was ruled by shock and anger. This version knew exactly what he was doing.
He moved through the hallway, staying close to the walls. The sounds got louder as he got closer to the bedroom. Megan's voice. His uncle's voice. The moaning. The conversation.
"You deserve everything that's coming to you, Damian. He's not good enough. He never was."
"He's a waste of time. A nobody. Why would you ever settle for someone like that?"
The words hit him, but this time they didn't break him. He'd already heard them once. Already felt the pain. Now they were just noise.
He pulled out his phone and checked the screen. The recording was already running. He'd started it the moment he stepped inside. Good. Everything was being captured.
He took a breath. Then he pushed the bedroom door open.
The scene was exactly the same. Megan on top of his uncle. Both of them naked. The bed creaking. The look of shock on their faces when they saw him standing there.
Megan scrambled off Nathaniel and grabbed the silk nightgown from the chair. She wrapped it around herself quickly, her face flushed. Nathaniel didn't even bother getting up. He just pulled the bedsheet over his waist and reached for his cigar like nothing had happened.
He lit it. Took a long drag. Then looked at Damian with that same smug smile.
"Well, well. Look who's here. You've got some nerve barging in like this. And what do you think you're doing? Recording?"
Damian didn't flinch. He held the phone up so they could both see it clearly. The red recording light blinked on the screen.
"Yeah. I'm recording."
He felt nothing. No heartbreak. No rage. He'd already been through that. Already drowned in it. This time, he was just cold. Detached. Like he was watching a movie he'd already seen.
"Now that I have my evidence," Damian said calmly, "do you think I care what you say? You're evil. Both of you. You're disgusting. And Megan?" He looked straight at her. "I'm done being disappointed in you."
Megan stared at him. Her eyes narrowed. Something was off. This wasn't the Damian she knew. He wasn't crying. Wasn't yelling. Wasn't falling apart. He just stood there, calm and unbothered, like what he'd just witnessed didn't even matter.
"What the hell are you doing?" she snapped.
Damian ignored her. He kept his eyes on Nathaniel.
Nathaniel's smile faded. He sat up straighter, his jaw tightening. "You can't record me, you crazy bastard."
He shouted toward the door. "Guards! Get in here!"
Damian didn't move. He just held up the phone again.
"I've already got everything I need. The video's been uploaded to my cloud. Backed up. And I've shared it with three people. One of them is a journalist. A real one. The kind who loves a story like this. You know what happens when this gets out, right? Your reputation? Your business? Your life? All of it goes up in flames. So yeah, maybe I'm not supposed to tell you this."
Nathaniel froze. His mind raced as he stared at the phone in Damian's hand. The evidence was right there. Clear. Undeniable. If this got out, if the public saw it, everything he'd worked for would crumble. The multi-million dollar contract he'd been chasing for months? Gone. His reputation? Destroyed. His business partners? They'd drop him the second the news broke.
He couldn't let that happen.
The door burst open. His guards rushed in, ready to grab Damian and drag him out. But before they could take a single step, Nathaniel raised his hand.
"Stop. Don't touch him."
The guards froze mid-step, confused.
Damian looked at Nathaniel, then at the guards. "Tell them to leave. Now."
Nathaniel's jaw clenched. His pride screamed at him to refuse, but the phone in Damian's hand said otherwise. He had no choice.
"Step aside," he ordered through gritted teeth.
The guards hesitated for a moment, then backed out of the room without a word.
Damian didn't waste time. He walked over to the drawer by the bed and pulled out a contract draft. One of the blank ones Nathaniel always carried with him for business deals. He'd seen it before, sitting in the same drawer months ago.
He tossed it onto the bed in front of Nathaniel.
"I know you brought one of these with you. Sign it."
Nathaniel picked it up slowly, his eyes scanning the page. His face went pale. Then red. Then white again.
Fifteen million dollars.
And one of his mansions. The one in Sky High Estates. One of the most expensive properties in the city.
His hands started shaking. "What the hell do you think you're doing? This is absurd. You can't be serious."
Damian's expression didn't change. He just smiled. Cold. Calm.
"When you were sleeping with her, when you were taking what was mine, did you think about me? No. You didn't. So I'm not thinking about you either. Sign it. Or this video goes live. Your choice."
Nathaniel's fists clenched around the paper. Every part of him wanted to rip it up and throw it in Damian's face. But he couldn't. The video was real. The journalist was real. If this went public, he'd lose everything.
Reluctantly, he picked up a pen and signed his name at the bottom.
But Damian wasn't done.
"Now write a letter. Say you weren't forced. That you did this willingly. Out of family love. That you're giving me all of this because you care."

Chapter 9
Not long after, Damien reached the place. The taxi barely came to a full stop before he was already pushing the door open and stepping out onto the gravel path that led into the cemetery. His heart was pounding so hard he could feel it in his throat, and his legs moved faster than his mind could think. This was the resting place of his mother, his father, and his younger sister, the one quiet corner of the world that still felt sacred to him, the one place he visited every single week without fail. But the moment he walked through the gate, everything inside him went cold. There wasn't just one man standing there. There wasn't two. There wasn't even three. Damien's eyes moved across the open ground and counted more than fifteen men scattered around the graves, and every single one of them was holding a sledgehammer. Some of them gripped shovels instead, the metal blades resting against their shoulders like tools waiting to be used. A few of the men had made themselves completely comf

Damien's jaw tightened, but he didn't say anything yet. He just listened.Nathaniel continued, his voice getting darker with every word. "Right now, I'm standing at the graveyard where your mother is buried. And you know that both your parents are placed together in that same spot, along with your younger sister. I'm standing right here, Damien, looking at their graves, and I'm giving you just five minutes to bring your stinking self over here. Five minutes. Not six, not seven. Five. And you better bring those documents I asked for along with you, because if you don't show up in time, everything here is going to be destroyed. Yes, destroyed. I'm going to ruin this place. I'm going to crush every stone, break every marker, dig up every inch of ground. Not just that, even if there are skeletons remaining, I will crush those too. So you better get here within five minutes and bring those documents with you, or everything your parents left behind, everything they rest in, is going down. Y
Chapter 7
Not long after, Damien got to his parents old home and the moment he stepped through the door, he just stood there for a few seconds trying to catch his breath. He had just come down from the taxi, and his mind was still spinning from everything that had happened today. His chest felt tight, like someone had wrapped a rope around it and was pulling harder with every breath he took. He couldn't believe it. He still couldn't wrap his head around the fact that Megan, his Megan, the woman he had loved with everything in him, had actually betrayed him in the worst way possible. She had been sleeping with his uncle for years now, years, and he hadn't known a single thing about it. All this time, while he was out there working hard, trying to build something for their future, trying to be the man she claimed she wanted, she was busy warming Nathaniel's bed behind his back like he didn't even exist. They had been using him this whole time. Megan had been using him like he was some kind of to

Nathaniel's jaw locked tight. That letter would kill any chance he had of fighting this in court later. It would seal the deal permanently. But even if he tried to fight it, the video would still destroy him.He had no way out.He grabbed a piece of paper and started writing. His hand shook the entire time. When he finished, he threw the pen down and shoved the letter across the bed.Damian picked it up, read it, then folded it carefully and put it in his pocket along with the signed contract."Good. Now we're done. You can have her. I'll take what I want. And we'll go our separate ways."He turned toward the door.Megan's voice cracked behind him. "So this is what I mean to you? After everything? You're just going to throw me away like I'm nothing?"Damian stopped. He didn't turn around. Just looked at her over his shoulder."Oh." His voice was flat. Empty. "You don't even know what's coming for you. This is just the beginning."He looked at Nathaniel next. "A betrayer gets what they
