CHAPTER 25

“Yes,” Henry said, admitting the fact that he stole Jean’s drink.

“What?” everyone at the table screamed in disbelief.

Henry turned away with a bitter smile. It was weird to actually meet the owner of the sprite he had devoured two days back at such an auspicious gathering. Did he make a mistake by stepping out tonight with the boys? He wondered.

Courtney leaned toward Jean and began to whisper. “Are you he’s the disgusting guy? This person is handsome.”

Aida shook her head in frustration. She wondered whether Courtney hadn’t met the famous scavenger on campus. Courtney might have never crossed paths with Henry because she stayed off campus.

“How can such a handsome man do a thing like that?” said Courtney. She shook her head and turned to Henry. “Forget it. He looks cheap anyway.”

Henry was now the center of attention in the small gathering. The ladies were harboring disgust on their faces. Berry secretly heaved a sigh of relief. He was now free from their judgmental gazes.
