Out of sheer curiosity about the young man, Lao An stepped forward toward Fang Yun, who was still standing there, staring coldly at his fallen enemies. There were a few questions Lao An wanted to ask, particularly about the sword and the techniques Fang Yun had used.

His momentarily relaxed vigilance quickly returned as Fang Yun sensed someone approaching from behind. He immediately turned around and saw an old man holding a staff adorned with a human skull at its handle.

“Relax, young man. I have no ill intentions, nor do I wish to fight you,” Lao An said with a faint smile.

Fang Yun didn’t trust him so easily. Especially since the staff in the old man's grip clearly indicated that he was a member of a dark sect. All this time, Fang Yun’s mindset had been firmly shaped: no member of the dark sect could ever be trusted, not even slightly. That belief made it impossible for him to lower his guard now.

“Are you part of this heretical sect?”

  • Punishment for Sun Jia

Ho Chen walked toward the three elders, maintaining his vigilance."What exactly is stopping you three from handing over Sun Jia and his companions? Is there someone backing up that coward?"The three elders looked confused. It was evident from the expressions on their faces."Out there, your sect's name is already tainted in the eyes of the people. Why? Because of the behavior of Sun Jia and his friends who enjoy intimidating villagers. Your duty isn't just to teach martial arts, but also to shape these students into good and virtuous individuals, just like true warriors of the righteous path. If they can't be of benefit to others, at the very least, they shouldn't bring harm," Ho Chen continued. His final words struck hard, a resounding slap to the pride of the three elders and the members of the Eagle Claw Sect. His words pierced the depths of their conscience."Sun Jia is the nephew of Gao Zun, the head of the Eagle Claw Sect, young man. Before he left to meditate a year ago, he e

  • The Intelligence of Yue Qi

Realizing that his Iron Body Spell had been breached and could no longer be relied on to protect him, the frail old man pushed himself back up. After channeling his inner energy to suppress the pain in his chest, Jian Rong drew the sword strapped across his back. Ho Chen, of course, wouldn’t face a blade with bare hands. A slight smirk appeared on his lips as he reached for the Star Stone Sword slung behind his back. “If you want a sword duel, come forward, old man. I’ll slice your sword into pieces!” Jian Rong ignored Ho Chen’s words. He took his stance once more and darted forward to attack with the sword in hand. Upon seeing the dark-bladed sword emanating a faint blue aura, Chen Fang and Gao Zun—who were watching from a distance—both furrowed their brows. “Zun, do you remember what the sect leader once said about the history of the Star Stone Sword?” Chen Fang asked, eyes still locked on Ho Chen’s blade

  • Steel Body Technique

Yue Qi nodded, affirming Ho Chen’s command. Without delay, the girl walked deeper into the Black’s Rock Sect compound. But around thirty conscious members immediately blocked her path.“Do you all want to be victims of that coward’s mistake?” Yue Qi’s gaze radiated such a strong intimidation that one by one, the sect members moved aside. They didn’t take her words as an empty threat. Even one of the elders had nearly died fighting her—what chance did they have as mere disciples?“We’ve tried to speak with you peacefully, young man,” said one of the elders, pointing at Ho Chen. “But it seems you want this matter resolved through battle. Very well—I’ll grant your request!”Ho Chen responded to the challenge with a sly grin. “An ox is stubborn, but apparently, humans can be even more pigheaded. You three! All this, just to protect one coward? Prepare yourselves!”“You two stay out of this. Let me deal with him first!” said

  • The Mimic Technique

Ho Chen was slightly surprised to see Yue Qi's fingers form into claws. Yet, he didn’t quite understand what the beautiful girl was about to do.The elder who was facing Yue Qi also looked startled, though his expression remained steeped in arrogance. “Whatever technique you use will be pointless. Your moves won’t affect me in the slightest!”Yue Qi offered a faint smile at the mockery. “What if I use your technique?”Both Ho Chen and Yue Qi’s opponent were visibly shocked by her words. They thought she was merely making a joke.“Prepare yourself!” Yue Qi shouted, her tone sharper, before charging forward.Ho Chen watched her movements with awe. A wide smile spread across his face, astonished at what he saw.Yue Qi’s movements mirrored her opponent’s technique exactly—flawlessly, even. In fact, they were smoother and more fluid than the original. The remaining conscious members of the Eagle Claw Sect couldn’t b

  • A Lesson for Yue Qi

Ho Chen’s threat didn't intimidate the members of the Eagle Claw Sect. Confident in their numbers, they saw no reason to fear the two individuals causing trouble in their sect. After all, they still had the sect leader and four elders, all of whom were skilled martial artists.Roughly a hundred members of the Eagle Claw Sect gathered before Ho Chen and Yue Qi. Each held a weapon—swords, iron staffs, and sickles.Ho Chen raised an eyebrow. It was strange, he thought. Their sect was named Eagle Claw, yet they relied on weapons. But he quickly dismissed the oddity. “Will you come at us one by one, or all at once?” he asked calmly.“You arrogant brat! So eager to die?” sneered an older member of the sect, clearly a senior by his appearance. “Attack them both!”And with that, the fight erupted. Ho Chen and Yue Qi faced off against the entire Eagle Claw Sect.Ho Chen could restrain his inner power during combat, but Yue Qi had not yet mastered

  • Yu Qi's First Action

Ho Chen approached Liao Jun, who merely glanced at him without any expression. The middle-aged man's face looked gloomy, revealing the sadness he felt. "Who did this, Uncle? Was it Sun Jia and his friends who came here yesterday?" Ho Chen asked curiously. He recalled that Sun Jia’s five friends had promised not to repeat their mistakes. "It was Sun Jia and the others. Those five didn’t appear today. They asked where you were, and I told them I didn’t know," Liao Jun replied softly. Ho Chen growled. His fingers clenched tightly, burning with rising anger. "Do you know where the Eagle Claw Sect is located?" Liao Jun looked at Ho Chen in surprise. "You’re going to that sect?" Ho Chen nodded firmly. "You shouldn’t go, young man. The Eagle Claw Sect has around a hundred members. If you insist on going, you’re just marching to your death," Liao Jun warned. "Ten or a hundred—it makes no difference to me, Uncle. Such barbaric acts can't be tolerated. They must be punished!" Ho Ch
