Asher stepped into the building, the air heavy with tension.

He was greeted by Augustus and Tarot, “You need to see this.”

Asher was curious as he walked behind Augustus towards the table and found his map lying there staring at him.

His jaw tightened in fury as he looked at Mick and then at the map. He was confused for a moment. He first rushed to his room to check if it was a mistake, but he returned with a cold gaze as he ambled towards Mick without warning. He punched the man so hard in the face.

Mick groaned as he spat out the blood from his mouth, and he laughed.

Gaius' eyes widened when he heard those words, and he felt his heart pause for a moment. “Kelvin son! The half of the green stone.”Not possible! Silence hung between them, the kind that could snap at any moment. “How did you get all of these, and how did you know he is Kevin's son?”Lucio chuckled, and he replied. “Why won't I know? I work with Kelvin and still have a position in the gang. But I want something more than just my current position, I want to be the leader, and only you can help me. We can team up and fight him. You get the green stone, and I get to become the leader of the Gilded Fang. A win for both of us.”Even if Lucio was making his statement, he knew never to trust Gaius; the man would kill him when he got what he wanted. But this was his only option to save his son; he hoped Gaius had no clue about his relationship with Mick, else it would ruin his plans.“I am not sure if I can trust you, given the difference all these years. You know what I did.” Lucio nodde

  • Chapter 393 - Exchange For Power

Gaius stood by the window watching the heavy rain fall as he waited for Mick. He had been the first on his mind when it came to getting the green stone. He needed the stone so desperately that he would spend his money; it was his most precious item, allowing him to become invisible. With it, no one can stop him. The last time he fought for this stone was with Kelvin Mancini, and since then, he had searched every corner, every hole, and never seen it. Not until Max mentioned it.Gaius was beginning to regret his decision to kill Max. He should have tortured him and waited until he confessed to the location of the stone before sending him to the afterlife. He thought it, and could only think about the time he would get his hands on it. Mick was working on searching for it, hoping he would get the map and find the green stone. At this time, his phone buzzed, and he was brought back to reality. Gaius stared at his phone screen, not pleased by the fact that he was being disturbed. He wonde

“I am sorry Master. I have no idea about the passage if not now. I will call someone who can fix it tomorrow morning.”“No, let it be,” Asher replied.Augustus chimed in, “But Master, we need to seal it, what if someone comes through there to attack us?”Asher drew a deep breath, “Let the passage be there. I will think of what to do with it when it’s time. But for now, we have someone close to Gaius. We should focus on him.”Lucio’s finger twitched; he forced a deep exhale. “Then what do we do now?”“We figured out who sold the map to him.” Asher replied, “It all results in one thing: someone among the gang is a mole. And we must find out who it is before we get exposed.”Lucio nodded, though inside his heart was beating fast. He looked at the knife on Mick’s thigh, he felt like rushing to remove it, but he knew any action would raise a suspicious gaze at him.At this time, Asher turned to Mick, and he ask
