Chapter II (Nayhemsia versus Cambion)

When Honcho called him out, Pedro furiously went inside the public toilet, only to be told that the dark wooden box they were looking for was nowhere to be found. "What do you mean that the dark wooden box wasn't at him?"

He immediately checked Finn's deceased body on the ground and later got frustrated after verifying, "F*cking Piece of—"

Pedro was so upset that he suddenly cocked and aimed the hammer of the silver revolver he was holding toward Honcho and Pako. "We shouldn't be in this predicament right now if those two idiots weren't so foolish in guarding the vault!"

[TREMBLING NOISES]

"What was that?" Pako raised his assault rifle in caution as he heard a cacophony of thudding and blagging. He points it at the cubicle toilets, where he heard the noise. He and Honcho went through each cubicle toilet one by one.

Honcho couldn't open the locked door of the fourth cubicle toilet. They then heard the trembling and choking noises of an individual inside the cubicle.

Pako kicked the cubicle toilet's door until it broke. After breaking the door, they immediately spotted a young man lying on the floor, having a seizure.

[TREMBLING NOISES]

Honcho noticed that beside the young man was the dark wooden box that they were looking for. "That's the dark wooden box!"

"Pedro, I think we found the dark wooden box!"

Pedro scurried toward them. He then saw the dark wooden box on the side of the young man, who was having a seizure. However, to his surprise, it was empty.

We couldn't find the contents anywhere!

He hurriedly groped the young man's body, trying to find the contents of the dark wooden box. "Where is Nayhemsia's heart?"

As he looked into the young man's eyes, he saw them dilating and glowing in purple light. "No way! Could it be?"

"Nope!" Pedro was thinking that Finn might have given the content of the dark wooden box, which he calls a 'Nayhemsia's Heart' to the young man. "It's impossible! I couldn't sense any spiritual pressure in this young man!"

"He is not a 'chosen'!"

He then squinted his eyes while he stroked his chin with his right hand. He is looking at the lean frame of the young man while having deep thoughts. "Even if he took it, his weak physique wouldn't survive the immense spiritual pressure of the Nayhemsia."

An idea then popped into his head. "Hey! Pick him up and bring him to the car!"

"I've got some ideas!"

Ten minutes later

District of Santa Ana

[CAR TIRE SCREECHING]

Pedro, together with his henchmen, Pako and Honcho, arrived at an abandoned construction site. It was their hideout. As they entered the abandoned site, they went inside an old, unfinished, full of cracks, and dusty room. Inside the room, Honcho tied the young man using a nylon rope that was hanging from the ceiling.

After a few moments, Pedro approached the young man while cracking both of his knucles.

[SMACK!]

Pedro smacked the young man, causing him to awaken in total surprise. The young man's eyes then dilated when he saw Pedro's face staring at him. He was kind of aghast while looking at Pedro's furious face.

The young man, with his frightened tone, inquired to Pedro, "Who are you?"

Pedro grinned at him and responded. "You haven't heard me in the news?"

He then points at his face and adds, "Haven't you seen this pretty face on the wanted posters of the police? Have you not realized who I am?"

The young man shakes his head in dread, stuttering, "I don't have any idea who you are."

Pedro suddenly hauled his silver revolver from his back. He then cocked the hammer, gently aimed it, and stuck it to the young man's forehead. The young man was quivering while he pleaded for his life. "Please don't kill me!"

Hearing the young man plead, he went to whisper, "Oh, you want to live?"

The young man quickly responded, "Y-yes!"

Pedro then aggressively snorted, "Oh, poor you! But I won't!"

[CLICK-BANG!]

The young man was trembling when Pedro abruptly pulled the trigger of his silver revolver at the young man's left ear, leaving a ringing noise and a hearing loss.

Pedro was laughing out loud, seeing the young man tremble in fright as he was only trippin around. "Haha! You got 'em, Pedro!" Pako burst out with laughter and exclaimed, "You got 'em, Pedro!"

After a few minutes, the young man's hearing came back to normal. Pedro's mood then changes into seriousness. He then stared toward the young man and inquired, "You want to live, right?"

He then called out Pako and asked him for something. "Honcho, give me the dark wooden box!"

Pako immediately gave the dark wooden box to Pedro. Pedro opened the empty, dark wooden box and inquired, "Now, where did you put what was inside this box?"

The young man then replied while shaking his head slowly. "I don't know!"

[SMACK!]

Pedro smacked off the young man's face as he was dissatisfied with his uninformative response. He then shook his head slowly while giving a threat warning to the young man: "Don't make me waste my time, kid! Next time, the bullet will pierce right through the back of your head!"

"P—please! I don't know what you were talking about!" The young man's mouth was shuddering while tears streamed down his face.

Pedro couldn't control his frustration. Veins then popped out of his head.

[BANG!]

He suddenly fired his silver revolver right at the young man's right leg. Aside from that, he quickly followed up by throwing a blowing punch, causing the young man to dryly puke in discomfort. "GWAAHK!"

Pedro then observed that the young man was emitting steam all around his body.

It dilated Pedro's eye in stupefaction. "Can't be, did he j-"

[FWOOOM!]

A hot blast of steam unexpectedly discharges from the young man's body. Pedro and his henchmen were thrown a few distances and their backs bumped on the ground due to the unexpected discharge of a hot blast of steam from the young man's body.

[BLAG-BUMP!]

The entire room is now filled with a hot, moist haze burning through Pedro's skin. A dark figure suddenly stands menacingly in the moist haze. The figure was approximately six feet tall.

[BURST!]

A bursting purple flame suddenly destroyed the moist vicinity inside the room. A figure whose body was engulfed in dark shadows while blazing in a dark flame appeared. It's appearance struck them, especially Pedro. "I-Impossible!"

The blazing figure has the configuration of a human body. Its dark, wide eyes have pupils made of spiraling purple flame, giving it a menacing look. It has pointed, long teeth and a small hollow in its center. From its back, four long tails, which have sharp edges, were rattling.

[RATTLING NOISES]

This sinister-looking figure then gave a sharp stare at Pedro and his henchmen. It has a deep and androgynous voice when it speaks. "You humans are alike the Jinns that I hated!"

"You are self-willed beings!"

[INTENSE RATTLING NOISES]

From the figures backs, his rattling long tails stretch out towards Honcho's throat. "GHKK!" It appalled Pako when he saw Honcho grabbing the tail while choking for his life.

His eyes then dilated in terror when the rattling tail sliced Honcho's head and directly went into him. However, he was quick enough to evade it and roll away.

All of a sudden, Pako yelled out while his body began to shift into a beast. "Get out, Pako! It is Nayhemsia! The boy had contracted with it!"

Pedro's eyes turned blood red while his physique buffed like a large gorilla. His face morphed into a lion with sharp saber teeth, and at the same time, two long horns of a lamb sprouted in his head; a tail also grew and extended from his spines; and lastly, a pair of featherless, wide wings spread in his back.

He then growled loudly, leaving a dreadful echo in the surroundings: "GRAAAAR!" And then springs toward the sinister, blazing figure he called 'Nayhemsia'.

The Nayhemsia easily left his charges, and Pako ripped down the room's walls. The room subsequently began to crumble and diminished to rubble. Then, out of the ruins, both Nayhemsia and Pako rose to their feet.

"A Cambion?" The Nayhemsia was staring at Pako's appearance, whom it called a 'Cambion'. It then snorted and quickly jumped above the skies. Up above, it aimed his right index finger toward Pedro. A brewing purple fireball materializes and is released afterward, zooming like laser beams.

[ZWOOOM!]

Pedro observes Nayhemsia's attack soaring at him. He then stamped the ground with both of his hands, erecting an immense barrier of orange flame. He uses the wall to deflect the attack. The assault seemed to have ended after a few seconds.

Suddenly, the huge orange-flaming wall breaks apart when Pedro bounces like lightning toward the Nayhemsia. The Nayhemsia then got startled when Pedro grabbed its neck. With a strong grip on his right arm, Pedro flung the Nayhemsia down the abandoned construction site.

[SWWSSHHH! BOOM!]

The Nayhemsia stood up as if nothing had happened, while the abandoned building site turned into ruins and became covered with dust. The attack was insignificant to the Nayhemsia, which stood up as if nothing had happened. A vibrant purple flame exploded from its back, measuring approximately three feet long and two feet broad. It used its wings to float back in the sky, where Pedro was floating.

Pedro and Nayhemsia surged at each other like lightning strikes after a few minutes. Their fists impacted, producing a blast wave up to seven kilometers in length.

[BOOM!]
