Meanwhile, within the Lin Clan's cultivation grounds, Lin Wuchen sat cross-legged inside a cultivation cave.

The Spiritual Qi within the cave was several times denser than that of the outside world.

The cultivation grounds had been constructed directly above a Spirit Ore Vein, causing the surrounding Spiritual Qi to be exceptionally abundant and pure.

Furthermore, each cultivation cave was engraved with Spirit Gathering Arrays that continuously drew in Spiritual Qi from the surroundings, creating an ideal environment for cultivation.

Lin Wuchen slowly circulated the Nihility Dao Scripture.

Almost immediately, wisps of Spiritual Qi began converging toward him from all directions.

They flowed into his body through his pores and meridians before rushing toward his dantian. However, unlike ordinary cultivators whose dantians stored and refined Spiritual Qi, Lin Wuchen's dantian had become a silent black void.

The moment the Spiritual Qi entered it, it vanished without a sound. It was as though the Spiritual Qi had never existed in the first place.

Within the depths of the void-like dantian, the Spiritual Qi was stripped of its form and essence before being deconstructed into strands of pure Nihility Qi.The newly formed Nihility Qi slowly accumulated within the endless darkness.

Two hours later, a faint fluctuation erupted from Lin Wuchen's body. His aura rose noticeably.

He had successfully broken through to the Second Stage of the Qi Gathering Realm.

Lin Wuchen slowly opened his eyes, a satisfied smile appearing on his face.

"This cultivation speed isn't bad." he couldn't help but mutter to himself.

Although the conversion process consumed a vast amount of Spiritual Qi, the quality of Nihility Qi far surpassed ordinary Spiritual Qi. As a result, his actual strength couldn't be gauged using normal means.

…….

"I'll go with you, then," Lin Wuchen said as his gaze fell upon the black robes in his hands. The robes were simple and elegant, devoid of any extravagant embroidery or ornate designs.

He had spent the entire day cultivating in the clan's cultivation chamber. In just a single day, his cultivation had advanced from the First Stage to the Third Stage of the qi gathering realm and he could tell he isn't far from another breakthrough.

The rapid progress was largely due to the dense and remarkably pure spiritual qi within the cultivation chamber.

Just then, a respectful voice sounded from outside the room.

"Young Master, the banquet is about to begin."

"Alright. I'll be there shortly."

Lin Wuchen changed into the black robes before pushing the door open and stepping outside. Under the guidance of the servant, he made his way toward the banquet hall.

By the time they arrived, the banquet hall was already brightly lit.

The spacious hall was filled with lively chatter as members of the Lin Clan welcomed guests from various clans and influential families. Clan elders and esteemed guests occupied the seats of honor, while the younger generation exchanged pleasantries throughout the hall.

The moment Lin Wuchen stepped into the hall, countless gazes turned toward him, majority of which were from the younger generation.

"It seems I'm quite popular," Lin Wuchen thought to himself as he noticed the countless gazes fixed on him.

"You bastard!" Just then, an enraged voice suddenly rang out.

Lin Wuchen turned toward the source of the shout. The moment he saw the young man, memories belonging to the original Lin Wuchen surfaced in his mind.

The young man was none other than one of his many cousins—Lin Mohan.

The two had never gotten along, and to make matters worse, Lin Mohan had long been pursuing Mo Xue, the very same girl whom the original Lin Wuchen had nearly violated.

It was no wonder he had flown into a fit of rage the moment he laid eyes on him. Lin Wuchen couldn't help but feel a headache coming on.

"You actually dared to show your face here after what you've done!"

"What have I done?" Lin Wuchen asked, feigning genuine confusion. Since he had already begun pretending to have lost his memories, he intended to see the act through to the very end.

"W-What have you done?" Lin Mohan repeated in disbelief. "Are you seriously asking me that?"

The question only seemed to further fuel his anger.

Just as he was about to cause a scene, several of his friends hurriedly stepped forward and pulled him back.

"Don't cause a scene," one of them said in a low voice.

Lin Mohan clenched his fists, glaring daggers at Lin Wuchen, but ultimately suppressed his anger.

There were far too many powerful and influential figures present for him to make a spectacle of himself. This was neither the time nor the place to settle their grievances.

……

The banquet had been underway for quite some time.

The older generation gathered in small groups, discussing the affairs of the clan and exchanging pleasantries, while the younger generation mingled among themselves, forming circles of their own.

Throughout the banquet, Lin Beichen made several announcements regarding the Lin Clan's future development, drawing the attention of the elders and branch leaders alike.

Lin Wuchen, however, couldn't help but wonder why he was even here. He had no interest in interacting with those of his generation.

For one, his reputation within the clan was already terrible. The last thing he wanted was to end up in another awkward or embarrassing situation.

Secondly...

He simply saw no point in it. Physically, he might appear to be a member of the younger generation, but in terms of age, experience, and soul, he was far older than even the founder of the Lin Clan.

Time passed quietly.

"Wuchen, come over."

Just as Lin Wuchen was contemplating an excuse to leave the banquet, he suddenly heard his father's voice.

Turning around, he saw Lin Beichen conversing with a middle-aged man whose face was marked by a long scar running through his face.

Standing quietly beside the man was a young girl who appeared to be no older than sixteen.

It didn't take much for Lin Wuchen to guess who she was. So this is my supposed fiancee…

Making his way over, Lin Wuchen cupped his fists in greeting.

"Greetings, Uncle."

"Haha!" The scar-faced man laughed heartily, giving Lin Wuchen's shoulder a firm pat. "The last time I saw you, you were just a little boy. Now you've grown into a fine young man."

He then turned toward the young girl beside him. "Ah, let me introduce you. This is my daughter, Leng Yueyan."

Leng Yueyan inclined her head politely. "It's a pleasure to meet you."

Lin Wuchen returned the greeting with a slight nod. "It's a pleasure."

Seeing her from such a close distance, even he had to admit that she was exceptionally beautiful. Her ocean-blue eyes were as calm as a still lake, without the slightest ripple. So clear were they that Lin Wuchen could faintly see his own reflection within them.

Yet what drew his attention the most wasn't her eyes, rather it was her pristine white hair. White hair at such a young age was anything but ordinary.

If he had to guess… It was almost certainly the result of a unique constitution, and a powerful one at that.
