0003 Zishan Hui

The man's dark aura shifted like a shadow hearing that Zishan Yao had been sealed.

Then he realized something.

There is only one possible explanation behind everything and that is— the Zishan clan wanted someone who would actually achieve Immortality and subdue the enemies.

Achieving Immortality is something that is considered as almost impossible.

Zishan Sheng had said that one's will needed to be strong in order for them to know that they are on the right path. Each step is daunting— much more difficult than the last and finally, it might take at least ten thousand years to finally cultivate immortality. So it was a pressing issue.

The man immediately broke into two figures, his pupils exuding darkness like the void itself. The soul annihilating whip was immediately shared, which means— its overall power has been halved.

The disciples of the Ninth-fortress sect were suddenly terrified.

As it seemed, no one could trust the words of an enemy and in the end, they would all die.

The whip suddenly crackled, blue electric arcs running from the top to the bottom and then he appeared before the senior disciple, Chenyi Lu.

"Let's start with the head."

The sound of the whip bit the air, causing a terrifying chill. Chenyi Lu's gaze remained firm, his hands moving and summoning Heavens Shield through inscription.

However to his shock, the soul annihilating whip slammed upon the shield, shattering it and sending him flying.

He spat blood in horror.

They were merely disciples and against an ancient powerhouse who had cultivated for long, they were no match.

The other seniors rushed towards Chenyi Lu and their expressions turned grim.

Chenyi Lu had not avoided the trajectory of the whip so it had touched him and also sent soul annihilating electric arcs into his inner world and shattered it.

Chenyi Lu's cultivation had been crippled, which means that he would never be able to cultivate again.

"Chenyi, Chenyi."

Xuelin, Xusan and Xiaoxuan called his name.

"Is he alright?"

They did not know.

Chenyi himself could not see them because of how busy he was trying to gather all of his spiritual energy that was escaping his broken inner world, but without an inner world, there'd be nowhere to store spirit energy…

Xuelin, Xusan and Xiaoxuan turned towards the man who had actually broken into two figures.

They immediately activated an array barrier that deals on offensive and defensive. It would attack and also defend them from his attack.

The man chuckled darkly.

"Mere ants, trying to attack me. I could cripple you all with a flick of my finger."

Xuelin manifested the beast aura and she roared angrily that the air trembled. Xusan's constellation pulsed with faint power which gradually increased, fuelled by the determination of all disciples in the Ninth-fortress sect.

She muttered. "Constellation of power, constellation of life! Determination and Will, fuels light into action."

The constellation spun and pulsed with power, wild energy increasing its attack.

Xiaoxuan meanwhile chuckled and whispered.

"Sorrow, misery and grief!"

Her hands ignited, twisting in different angles.

Then, the array finally became true and was launched forward. The terrifying power from it actually distorted the void, but this man flicked his fingers, and the power from the array froze and was crushed.

The three of them were horrified.

The man looked so ancient that his power was almost inexhaustible, but then before he could retaliate against them, someone appeared before him, his two fingers striking the void and space shattering in an instant.

The man took two steps back, surprised.

"Zishan Hui?"

His face was contorted in an ugly scowl. "Where have you hidden the boy?"

Zishan Hui chuckled.

"He is my son and I have every right to hide him don't I?"

The man's second figure seemed to flicker and fuse into him as the singular soul annihilating whip crackled. And he laughed.

"Hui, you seem to have forgotten something important. My master is an immortàl and that the Mainline river of time is under his control, which means— the six universes are also under his control."

The man paused for a while and he poked Zishan Hui on the chest and laughed.

"I am an Ortuser, you are a Primordial. It is very clear who would win this battle if you dare compete with me."

Zishan Hui's expression remained neutral. He muttered.

"I'm not planning to fight you to the death. These disciples have done nothing to you and you're taking it out on them? You've even crippled a senior, I'll remember this debt."

The man's aura shifted dramatically and he hissed. "There's a prophecy about the birth of a Timeless Immortal and little Yao's fate has been found around that prophecy which is why you need to hand him over."

Zishan Hui chuckled softly.

"To become an Immortàl is not something that one is capable of achieving themselves. I might not reach that level, who knows but I do wish for humanity's power to increase."

The man's aura suddenly exploded in absolute rage, however Hui created a powerful barrier and then, both himself and the man disappeared from the Ninth-fortress sect, leaving the disciples all to themselves.

The plain land suddenly changed and of course, Zishan Hui was thrown into the air, his lips leaking with blood.

"You've committed a grave sin to the Immortal Lord. Allowing another immortàl to rise will threaten the balance of karma. Do you really want that to happen?"

Zishan Hui smiled.

"As long as ignorant people like yourself would be restricted by karma, then we are fine. There is only ever one immortàl in all universal cosmos which means that if another immortàl arise, then karma would restrict the dire power of Eternal realm powerhouses, which means the Immortal Lord would be restricted too."

The man's eyes turned fiery red and he lashed out with a terrifying punch that caused the stars to explode nearby.

Zishan Hui was suddenly startled, not for his life but because Zishan Sheng had said that he would seal him somewhere within the constellations but didn't say where. So it means that if Yao is hidden in the stars, if they exploded, then it would be easy for the enemies to locate him.

Hui's eyes turned icy.

"I must kill him— No! I will kill him."

Then he rushed forward like a phantom, terrifying power rolling out like shockwaves but another terrifying power slammed upon him, sending him flying and coughing out blood.

As an Ortuser, the gap between them is already exaggerated but victory shouldn't be impossible.

  • 0069 The immortal Lord

Yao did not really have a method that could help him stop an immortal, especially the immortal Lord. What are his weaknesses? What are his powers? Yao did not know. That man, whoever he is, will still return and maybe, he will come for Yao just to reclaim the river of time and time sceptre in Yao's possession. The mirror stared down at Yao, without his reflection…even with the amount of will he commanded, it didn't surpass the will in this pavilion. So Yao suddenly realised that what he needed at this moment was a stronger will to keep his reflection in the mirror. His ability to keep his reflection will determine how powerful and strengthened his soul and spiritual force would turn out to be in the future.Meanwhile*** Somewhere far away from the six universes… very far away from the thirty six galaxies. A man clad in black with a weeping canvas of darkness shrouding his person was seen standing at a distance away from a singular planet. His eyes were piercing, anger and malice

  • 0068 The pavilion

The pavilion was very huge, the size already so spacious that it could even contain a smaller community. Yao and Nian did not fail to notice that the spirit energy seemed to have transformed. It was no longer the normal one, but instead, the purified version of it… Spirit essence. Yao knew how long it took for his inner world to start producing spirit essence. Normally, it is difficult to find spirit energy in such a pure state, but now, how the Daynight clan had achieved this is already mystifying enough.Yao and Nian did not stop absorbing the spirit essence into their soul and of course its magical properties were, if not much more potent than the usual one.Yao's eyes scanned the place until they landed on the Daynight clan’s ancient murals. Yao left Nian all to himself as he walked towards the painting. His hands traced the edges and surprisingly, his hands actually absorbed pure spirit essence out of the mural. How had they done it exactly? How can everything in this room b

  • 0067 Yao's Will

Thirty seconds later… Yao and Nian walked across the silent route and found Liu Yi’s jade token on the floor with remnants of blood stains. Nian froze. “What happened to him?”Yao smiled gently, picked up the token and said differently. “I'd rather not say.”Nian felt chills run down his spine. What on earth could have possibly killed Liu Yi? Whatever that is, it should be very horrifying.Yao did not really need to lift his finger and Liu Yi had been brutally killed. Yao had only used his will and after that, Liu Yi couldn't even resist. Despite the fact that Yao had used the ceaseless impetus once, his inner world hasn't stopped breaking down the humanoid particles and transforming it into essence will. In fact, the amount of Essence Will Yao had accumulated was already so terrifying that he could practically will anything at all into existence or even cause the life of anything to simply wither away. That was exactly what had happened to Liu Yi…Nian meanwhile did not need to

  • 0066 Let him be

“We are entering the Daynight clan's pavilion… tonight.” Nian smiled smugly.“What did you do with the great grandmaster?”Yao sighed softly. “That man should have been dead by now and yet every single time I managed to kill him, it's always his other half that receives his death.” Nian blinked, obviously stunned that such a method existed. “Is he transferring his death? Or something?” Yao chuckled darkly.“No, he is separating himself rather… just like creating a clone of oneself. Naturally, that clone won't possess 50% of the owner's power, which means whoever uses a clone is taking a risk of losing 50 percent of their overall power… so can you tell me what happens if that clone dies? Huh?” Nian smiled smugly.“He's done! How many times, you say?”Yao laughed.“Twice.” “So that should definitely be more than half of the damage done, correct?” Yao nodded and immediately changed topic.“We are going to that pavilion to strengthen our soul and even learn the Daynight clan's spir

For now, he believes that the great grandmaster would never show up until after he's completely recovered his power. But he did not also know what a progenitor would do next… despite Yao understanding the possible steps that should be taken, a progenitor’s pride cannot be underestimated. That man would definitely not remain in hiding for long…sooner or later, he would have to show his ugly head.Yao materialised out of his inner world and after it completely retracted back into his body, he quickly disappeared. He was heading to the daynight clan… his priority now is, the daynight clan’s pavilion… The great grandmaster who was supposed to be dead appeared out of the void. Compared to before, his aura is much weaker, due to how much power he's lost just because he wanted to live. He looked in Yao's direction and then, his expression changed when he realised that he was heading straight to his Daynight clan. His body flickered as he disappeared.Whatever this kid wanted to do, then

  • 0064 Starry fist intent

In a few more seconds, they were ten fletchers attached to the butt of his spirit manifested arrow. The great grandmaster stared at that arrow with wary eyes because, even suppressed, that arrow retained full power. Immediately an eleventh fletching appeared… Its birth was so slow that it took a complete nine seconds. Yao stared at the great grandmaster and offered a wicked smile… Yao's limit seemed to have improved a bit and now, it seemed like he could a few more fletchings before he reaches that limit. The aura from an undecuple-fletched arrow conjured shields that protected him from the scorching heat. From eleven, Yao ruthlessly added a twelfth fletcher… clearly and almost reaching the limit of what his body could take. He quickly attached a thirteenth fletcher and… it suddenly felt like his three spirit seas were being consumed rapidly just to sustain the power of one arrow. Yao sighed, finally feeling the mental exhaustion hit him like a ton of bricks. That feeling of h
