【 Meet Anna】

Long ago, David had a thought of returning to the ancient forbidden land to seek a great opportunity.

None dared to venture into that zone of life, whether they were humans or other powerful creatures, due to its dense vegetation and endless supply of spirit medicine. Having consumed the Holy Fruit and Divine Spring, David believed that he could survive for a period of time within that area after reaching a certain level of strength. However, at this moment, he had to proceed at the risk of his life.

Deep within the mountains, the roar of beasts shook the heavens, and the leaves fell in the forest. David's face turned pale as he realized that terrifying beasts were appearing long before he could even reach the ancient forbidden land. Yet, if he halted his journey, he could not escape the pursuit of the knight chasing after him. He was stuck in a dilemma.

"Jiang Yichen, just wait. Even though you are a descendant of the Jiang family, I will one day destroy you," David cursed and looked for a place to hide.

Suddenly, he detected danger drawing near. The powerful knight appeared again in the sky, but, suddenly, the beast he rode became frightened and plunged to the ground, trembling. David was nearby and saw everything clearly. The powerful beast had been scared into such a miserable state. This took David by surprise.

The sunlight dimmed as a hurricane sprang forth, breaking many of the plants in the area. A massive shadow loomed over the ground. In the sky, a giant bird appeared, covering the sun and blocking out the sky, its giant body shining in gold, like it was made of pure gold. Its size made David speechless, as he watched it fly over him like a golden cloud, and a silence fell over the mountain as it passed on. All animal roars disappeared until it disappeared, and the woods regained their normal liveliness.

The knight from the Jiang family got back on his beast and flew away, unable to confront the mighty creature, even with his strength. David was full of uncertainty because he did not know what kind of beasts he would have to face if he continued to advance on foot.

Thus, his thoughts of returning to the forbidden land were shattered upon encountering three powerful knights who had already been blocking his path.

"Sending so many strong knights just to exterminate me. Remarkable," David said. Later, a beast with nine heads entered the scene that was as large as a small mountain, emitting a strong pressure. Its body was covered in black clouds, and its form resembled a Qilin, but it had nine enormous serpent heads, making it appear particularly terrifying. It let out a loud roar that scared away the three powerful knights of the Jiang family with its terrifying pressure.

David's heart immediately sank. He had not even made it to the ancient forbidden land, and various terrible beasts had already appeared. He could not help but wonder what he would face if he continued walking. If he could not fly, traversing this wilderness by foot would be nearly impossible. It was no wonder that the knights from the Jiang family could only blockade specific regions.

David carefully sneaked for another day and found that the relatively safe areas were all blocked by the three powerful knights, making it impossible to pass through. "I am guessing their thoughts and they are also thinking about my escape route and predicting that I will approach the ancient forbidden zone to get rid of them," David hid in a dense forest, carefully considering his options.

He realized that he could not move forward any more, otherwise he would only lead to certain death. "If I cannot fly, I cannot approach the life forbidden zone," David said to himself as he turned back along the same path, taking advantage of the fact that the knights had not yet reacted. He wanted to escape into the vast sea of people.

When David reached the edge of the mountain range, he suddenly saw a powerful knight riding a shimmering ink-scaled beast circling in the sky above the forest. "The fifth powerful knight," David looked up and muttered, "Are they all sent by Jiang Yicheng? They brought more than ten knights in total, and now five have been deployed. Could it be that Jiang Yifei and Jiang Caixuan didn't notice it? It's impossible for them not to be aware. Did they tacitly

agree to it? Or did they also send someone?" David was worried and unsure of the role these two people played in the matter. The situation was complicated and difficult to decipher.

"I hope they have nothing to do with it, otherwise little Tingting will be living in a complicated family and I don't know if it's a blessing or a curse," David was concerned about Tingting and Jiang Lao-Bo.

That night, David sneaked back to Jiang Lao-Bo's small restaurant unnoticed and was able to see two exotic beasts hovering over the mountains outside the town, but the most dangerous place was also the safest place. He relaxed and rested for the night.

On the second night, David finally left the town and fled into the distance. Three days later, while David was camping in the wilderness, he saw a knight from the Jiang family riding on an exotic beast rushing past, heading towards a distant destination. This shocked him. How did they find him so quickly? The power of the ancient family was too terrifying. He could not enter the life forbidden zone. How could he get rid of them? David was worried.

Finally, David entered a huge city in Yan Kingdom. He felt that only the vast sea of people could hide him. This was the second largest city in Yan Kingdom, with a population of no less than a million, extremely prosperous, with wide streets, bustling crowds, and shops lining the streets. The sound of hawking was incessant. David had been fleeing for days and he was exhausted, but he had no money in his pocket and he needed to find a place to eat. Suddenly, David's expression changed as he saw a familiar figure - Anna. She did not look old, but had regained her youth. She was one hundred and seventy centimeters tall, slender and graceful, wearing a white dress that fluttered in the wind, exuding an otherworldly aura. Whether in the past or present, Anna was extremely beautiful, with a clear and beautiful appearance that was not tainted by the world. Perhaps because of her cultivation, her skin shone with a crystal shine, snow-white and delicate like a piece of jade.

Anna's white clothes fluttered and her black hair flowed naturally, enhancing the crystal-clear beauty of her skin. Her eyes were large, her eyelashes were long, and she seemed very spiritual. Her neck was as beautiful as a swan, her waist was small and her legs were straight and slender, forming a perfect figure.

Compared to before, she had lost a bit of flamboyance and gained a bit of agility, like a fairy from the moon palace, emanating an otherworldly aura. David never imagined seeing her here, and it inevitably brought back many memories, sweet moments but also bitter ones. He turned his body, unwilling to meet her in this situation.

Anna obviously did not notice David, she stood out among the crowd, graceful and nimble, her exquisite appearance attracted many glances, but she naturally did not notice a tired and ragged boy in the distance. David turned around and tried to leave, but accidentally bumped into someone.

"Little beggar, how can you walk like that? The street is so wide, but you had to bump into me,” said a group of young men and women. The beautiful woman showed an unpleasant expression, and David apologized quickly. "Junior Sister, see if you've lost anything, there are some beggars who specialize in stealing like this nowadays," a young man reminded, and stopped David from leaving.

David had been on the run for days, his clothes were dirty and torn, his face covered in dirt, truly resembling a little beggar.

"Let him go, I didn't lose anything," said the woman who was bumped into. David wanted to turn and leave, but Anna had already arrived and saw him.

"It's you," David stopped in his tracks, not expecting to meet her after all. "Junior Sister, do you know this little beggar?" the other young men and women were all surprised.

At this moment, David was dressed in rags, covered in dust, with a tired and weary expression. After days of running, his mind and body were exhausted, and coupled with his tattered clothes, he looked like the lowest of society.
