“…”
“…”
“…..!”
Clinton froze in shock as this line of words suddenly appeared in his vision while he was struggling against an existential crisis.
He did not come to terms with the line of words that he just saw yet.
And yet, that was when the line of words superimposed with his vision again.

‘Oh boy!’
Clinton felt like he was going crazy. ‘What the hell!’
Thud! Thud! Thud!
The steps kept on ringing in his direction, closer than ever before.
At this moment, if Clinton had sweat glands, he would be sweating buckets already.
He could feel his heart beating fast at a rapid frequency. ‘Oh freaking Jesus! What the heck is this?’
‘What kind of situation did I find myself in?’
‘What did I do to deserve this fate?’
‘Jesus! Angels! Somebody, help!’
At this moment, Clinton was overwhelmed by panic but somehow, was it because he was now a freaking skeleton?
Somehow, the fear suddenly disappeared as if it was never there as it was replaced by an unnatural sense of calm.
Calm all of a sudden, Clinton could think straight again.
The existential threat of death was still there as he could feel the dreadful approach of the 3 existences behind him, but somehow, he was able to push it all behind him at this moment for his brain to work.
And finally, he started piecing all the facts before him.
‘I can’t see in the presence of light, a skeleton body, an unknown world, an interface that is a system like in those books those foolish girls loved reading’. At this moment, Clinton felt conflicted. ‘Did…, did I really die?!’
He felt regret.
Regret for all that he left behind in Planet Earth.
He felt regret for his fame that was most likely lost already, the renown, the beautiful girls, the beautiful boobs and nice round ass, he felt regret for it all.
Despite all his regret though, Clinton was still cognizant of his current situation, his life was in danger.
Umm, was that even correct?
Or maybe, since he was undead now, his dead was in danger?
And then, Clinton’s head geared into overdrive.
How could he escape?
How could he survive?
In his previous life, Clinton was not necessarily the brightest brain in the room. He was no mathematician, he was an athlete but still, when it came to survival instincts and I.Q, he ranked right at the very top.
Pairing this with his unusual calm at this moment despite the existential terror of death, Clinton was able to think straight with absolute clarity.
‘How do I escape?’ He thought.
‘I can’t move my body’.
His eyes, whatever substituted for them moved rapidly at this moment as he observed his surroundings having better adjusted to the dim lighting now.
He could see better now.
At this moment, Clinton could tell that this was some form of corridor. To his front and behind the pile of bones lied deep darkness that somehow felt like home to him but behind him, that was where the light came from.
And behind him was also where his killers were coming from.
Clinton stared at the pile of bones. ‘How can I escape? How can I move?’
Yes, that was it!
The light bulb of inspiration moved in his head. ‘I need to move!’
Thinking of that, Clinton finally stared at the peculiar set of bones that were different from the others, his own bones.
‘To move, I need them, but how?’
Immediately as he thought of it, perhaps due to his unusual calmness at this moment but Clinton remembered something.
‘Ah! The system, it said something about skills, right?’
Without hesitation, Clinton accessed the system interface again. Immediately he thought of it, the interface superimposed with his vision again.
And this time, he saw it clearly.
‘Yes! That’s it!’
‘I have a skill! Bone assembling’.
At this moment, Clinton was clueless, he had no idea what to do but again, the desperation of death pushed him to focus and try anything.
Afterall, like depicted in movies, magicians had to focus to do anything right?
He may not be a magician right now but his current situation was even crazier than awakening magic, so why not try to focus.
Immediately after he focused, Clinton chanted it in his mind. ‘Bone assembling!’
And well, voila!
A miracle happened!
Somehow, his bones that laid a short distance from his skull moved.
‘Yes! Yes!’ Clinton almost screamed out loud.
‘Come baby, come to daddy!’
The bones moved but they were moving agonizingly slowly.
Thud!
The thudding sounds behind him grew louder. Clinton could feel his imaginary heart on his throat, he felt like his life was on a countdown.
Thud!
‘Fast baby!’
Thud!’
‘C’mon! Fast baby!’
‘Fast…, fast you mother*cker!’
And then, one of his legs arrived first, laying behind him.
Then, his torso arrived.
Then, the rest of his skeleton body arrived and the most inexplicable thing followed. His skeleton body started reassembling itself.
Right at this moment was when Clinton heard a voice.
“Huh? That skeleton is still alive? I thought we already used purifying light on all of them, they should be dead already”.
“I told you I heard something down here, right? Next time, don’t doubt my hearing. See? It’s this skeleton”. Another voice spoke.
“Let’s just kill it then, I’ll do it”. A third voice said.
Hearing that, Clinton felt like he was going crazy but shortly after that did his skeleton body fully reassemble itself.
And all of a sudden, Clinton felt whole again.
He didn’t feel like he was a skeleton at all. The sensation he felt was so natural like he was back in his human body.
He could feel his legs, he could feel his arms, he felt alive again, or since he was a skeleton now, was it feeling undead?
None of that mattered to Clinton right now though.
‘F*ck you murderers!’
‘To your f*cking tents oh Israel!’
Whoosh!
The 3 Holy Knights stood in shock, watching with one of them raising his Holy Sword up, frozen as the skeleton before them suddenly stood up with surprising agility as it charged with speed towards the abyss.
For a second or two, they did not respond, then…
“Stop it! It’s escaping!”
The Holy Knight who already unsheathed his sword slashed the next moment with it, and then a pure white sword aura erupted from the sword.
Clinton was busy running to the safe haven of the dark when he felt a searing sensation of pain suddenly hit him.
The pain stung.
Before he knew it, his skeleton body was already crumbling down.
{You have been hit by the residual sword aura of a Level 7 Holy Knight!}
{You have received +1.3 damage!}
{HP: 1.7/3}
That attack smoothly cut off his left bony leg.
Clinton was horrified at the realization that just 2 more such attacks and he would be dead.
And worse than that was the pain.
That white aura entering his body seemed to ignite a hell of fire across his body. ‘F*ck!’ Clinton felt like screaming at the top of his lungs.
‘This? This is agony!’ He felt like growling in pain like a beast.
The pain was truly unbearable.
But luckily for him, he already ran far enough so as he fell, he fell down a slope as his skeleton body rolled into the black embrace of the darkness.
Clinton survived, by the edge of his skin.

Chapter 74: War Realm [9]
The fire had burned down to soft embers. The cold air of the War Realm crept into the ravine, brushing across rock, steel, and bone. A silence hung between the trio; not tense, but heavy. Weighted with unspoken truths and shared survival.Clinton had returned from his expedition to the territory of the Dreadjaw Tribe alive, and he revealed everything to them. That was what caused this tense silence between them after the initial argument. But there was something else in the tension, a truth hidden behind layers of blood and race.Clinton broke the silence.“We need to talk”.Vaelin didn’t move. Garrick looked up from the blade he was tending but said nothing.Clinton’s voice was quiet. “I’ve been patient. I didn’t ask questions when I should’ve. But now, I want to know”. He looked at them. “Why are you two after me? Why me? You didn’t just stumble onto my trail. You were tracking me. From the Monster Domain”.The die was cast. And now, there was no going back. This is the conversation
Chapter 73: War Realm [8]
Night cloaked the ravine in stillness, the fire Vaelin had managed to conjure flickering low in the ring of stone.Garrick sat near it, sharpening his blade with steady strokes, though his muscles remained coiled, ever ready. Vaelin stood nearby, arms crossed, gazing into the shadows beyond the ridge as though expecting monsters to crawl free of the dark. When Clinton returned, neither man stirred, but both took notice. He stepped into the firelight, quiet as ever, though something about his presence had changed. His gait wasn’t rushed or cautious. Rather, it was exposed, like someone who had walked through fire and returned with answers.“You’re alive,” Garrick said flatly, glancing up from his blade. “That’s a good start”.Vaelin’s eyes narrowed. “What did they say?”Clinton sat down beside the fire, letting the flickering warmth lick at his bones. “The chieftain, Grumak Skullspliter, knows I’m from another level”.The Human and Elf looked at him sharply.Clinton shrugged. “He calle
Chapter 72: War Realm [7]
The Dreadjaw encampment was chaos carved into order. Rows of tents made from beast hides and bone stretched along the uneven valley floor, surrounded by spikes, glyph wards, and pits lined with iron-tipped stakes.Fire burned at every corner, warriors sparred in blood-soaked rings, and the drums of war thundered endlessly. The stench of sweat, blood, and magic tainted the air.Clinton walked through it all, led by the shaman. All eyes turned to him, the skeleton cloaked in tattered robes, marked by silence and aura. Some hissed, some snarled, some even dropped to a crouch, unsure whether to pounce or kneel. But none attacked. The presence of the shaman warded them, for now. They reached the center of the encampment. There, a crude throne carved from the ribcage of a mountain wyrm loomed atop a raised stone platform. There sat the chieftain.DING!~----~[You have encountered Grumak Skullsplitter, Chieftain of the Dreadjaw Tribe, one of the 5 Orcish Tribes of the War Realm!][Level: 30]
Chapter 71: War Realm [6]
“I’ll do it”.Silence.A few moments later. “You sure?” Garrick asked.Clinton gave a hollow laugh. “I’m already a dead man in a world that hates me. What’s another risk?”Clinton was about to move on but as soon as a sudden mischievous thought entered his head, he couldn’t help it. Looking at the Elf and Human, a smile crept up his face which in his skeleton face only looked eerie. He grinned. “You know, I was a human once”.Garrick looked at him sharply, then he muttered coldly. “Good joke”.Clinton chuckled. “Take it any way you want, but that’s the truth”.“Besides, what’s so hard to accept? This skeleton, is it not that of a human?” He pointed at himself.Garrick looked at him coldly. “Skeletons are undead, hideous monsters of the World of Dark. You and your kin were created from the darkness. Even if you came from the remains of a human, the original soul is gone and resting in Heaven”.“So, no, you’re no human skeleton. You’re an undead”.“So serious”. Clinton chuckled.Convers
Chapter 70: War Realm [5]
After Clinton’s first cold lessons in the ravine with his teacher, Vaelin Duskwhisper, while he had a rest to recover from the exertion, Garrick finally brought up a new conversation. They couldn’t escape it, it was a conversation that they would have now or later. So, the human mercenary brought it up now. With a calm and even look on his face, he looked at them. “How do we move on from here?”The Elven assassin and undead skeleton looked up at him.Vaelin answered. “What do you mean?”Garrick looked at him. “This Orcish tribe”. He paused for a few moments, taking a dark look at the top of the ravine. “Obviously, we can’t go that way. We don’t have what it takes to beat that guy, and we won’t have it in a long time”.“And staying in one place is not an option either. Staying in one location in a realm we know so little about is a recipe for disaster”.“I agree”. Vaelin nodded.Garrick took a deep breath. “So, the only way to go is forward”.“From what we’ve observed about those Orcs
Chapter 69: War Realm [4]
The ravine, jagged and narrow, curled like a scar across the mountainside. It was brutal terrain; sharp rocks, thorn-rooted bushes, and the occasional growl from something unseen deeper in the shadows, but it was quiet. And more importantly, it was safe.Safe enough.Garrick slumped against the wall, chest heaving from the exertion of hauling two people through a nightmare.Vaelin sat nearby, cross-legged, arms folded tightly across his blood-caked armor. He hadn’t said a word since they stopped, just staring into the cold wind, silent and unreadable. There was a subtle tension between them. Afterall, they were yet to address the topic of previously kidnapping the skeleton.Clinton? He perched in the corner like a gargoyle, skeletal frame motionless, faint blue frost still wafting off his bones from the magic he had unleashed earlier. The battle with Gor’Zhul had nearly killed them… again. And yet somehow, they were still breathing. Or at least, two of them were. Finally, Vaelin broke
