Leon finally introduced himself as a Relationship Officer at Aurelius Bank’s Riverton branch.

While Gavin was invited to sit down, Leon Briggs reread the data on his tablet for the third time.

And the more he read, the more uncomfortable he became. Because no matter how he examined it, Gavin’s financial structure did not appear fake.

That should have been reassuring. But the problem was, the young man sitting in front of him looked like someone who had accidentally wandered into the wrong bank.

Eventually, Leon raised his eyes. “Mister Valerio... are you working through a specific fiduciary office?”

Gavin stayed silent for two seconds. “What exactly is a fiduciary office?”

Leon froze slightly. Because now, the anomaly had transformed into something genuinely disturbing.

Someone with a capital structure like this should have lawyers. Wealth advisors. Tax architects. Family office management. Yet Gavin didn’t even recognize the most basic terminology that should have been part of his everyday life.

And that immediately pushed Leon toward far worse possibilities.

Proxy ownership?

Hidden beneficiary?

Or perhaps, Someone whose identity was merely being used for something he himself didn’t fully understand.

Leon slowly placed the tablet onto the desk. “Assets on this scale cannot simply move around without proper documentation.”

“I know,” Gavin answered quickly.

Even though he actually didn’t know. At that exact moment, the System appeared again at the edge of his vision.

[ Behavioral instability detected ]

[ User stress level increasing ]

“What the...” Gavin cursed internally. “That doesn’t help at all.”

Before he could think further, A knock came from the office door. Pricillia entered quietly.

“Leon.”

“What is it?”

She briefly glanced toward Gavin before approaching closer. “The lobby is starting to get crowded.”

“What do you mean?”

Pricillia exhaled softly. “Marcus Hale has started telling people we’re handling a scammer claiming to possess one hundred million dollars.”

“Great...” Gavin muttered while briefly closing his eyes. “Of course he wouldn’t stop there.”

Leon rubbed his temples slowly. Because the greatest problem inside a bank was never money. It was reputation.

If this turned out to be a scam and leaked publicly, the bank would look incompetent. But if this was real And they mishandled it,

That would be far worse.

Eventually, Leon stood up. “I’ll handle it.”

But before he could leave the room, Gavin suddenly spoke quietly.

“I can prove it.”

Leon stopped. “How?”

Gavin hesitated briefly before answering. “I can perform a preliminary capital movement.”

Leon narrowed his eyes. “Without an active account?”

Gavin swallowed slightly. “I... might be able to.”

The instant Gavin said that, another System notification immediately appeared.

[ Conditional capital route available ]

[ Temporary liquidity bridge can be established ]

****

They returned to the lobby.

And now, the atmosphere there had clearly changed.

Marcus stood near the lounge area, speaking casually with two other men. The moment he saw Gavin come downstairs again, a faint smirk immediately returned to his face.

“Still here?” he mocked lightly. “Wow. That confidence level is impressive.”

Several people nearby chuckled quietly.

Leon immediately spoke.

“Mister Hale, I’m asking you to stop making unnecessary comments.”

Marcus raised both hands theatrically. “I’m just curious.” He looked directly at Gavin. “I want to see how a kid without ID opens private banking with a hundred million dollars.”

The moment those words were spoken, Every eye in the lobby shifted toward Gavin. And instantly, Gavin felt his palms grow cold.

Because even he still wasn’t fully certain what exactly he was doing.

Then the System appeared again.

[ Temporary institutional channel ready ]

[ Awaiting user authorization ]

Gavin inhaled slowly before looking directly at Leon.“Can this bank receive preliminary liquidity confirmation?”

Leon’s attention sharpened instantly. “In what form?”

“Wire positioning.”

Leon froze for a fraction of a second. Because the term was real. And definitely not something ordinary people casually used.

Wire positioning wasn’t a full transfer. It was essentially an institutional liquidity signal A preliminary placement proving funds existed before major capital movement occurred.

Normally used only between large financial institutions.

Marcus laughed again. “Jesus Christ.” He shook his head mockingly. “He memorized finance vocabulary from YouTube.”

That immediately caused several people in the lobby to smile. Leon himself wanted to agree.

But his professional instincts were now screaming that something about this situation was deeply abnormal.

“Under whose name,” Leon asked carefully, “and from which institution?”

Gavin went silent. Because he genuinely didn’t know.

Fortunately, The System answered for him.

[ Blackthorn Fiduciary Holdings initialized ]

[ Luxembourg route prepared ]

[ Tier-one liquidity bridge available ]

Even though Gavin barely understood half of what that meant, he still answered quietly.

“Blackthorn Fiduciary Holdings.”

And this time, Leon’s expression genuinely changed. Because that exact name had already appeared on his tablet a split second before Gavin spoke it aloud.

Meaning, The route already existed.

Seeing that reaction, Marcus slowly stepped closer. And for the first time His smile began disappearing.

Meanwhile, Leon immediately refocused on the tablet. His fingers moved faster than before.

Ding!

The tablet emitted a notification sound.

Leon read the screen And slowly, all color drained from his face.

INCOMING PRE-CLEARED LIQUIDITY NOTICE

ORIGIN: BLACKTHORN FIDUCIARY HOLDINGS

POSITIONED AMOUNT: USD 100,000,000.00

“That’s impossible!” Marcus blurted out in disbelief.

Even though Leon was just as shocked as everyone else in the lobby, his training immediately took over.

He calmly turned off the tablet screen. But by then, Several people nearby, including Marcus, had already seen enough to understand that something had just changed completely.

And that,Was a problem. Inside elite financial circles, public commotion was poison.

Leon immediately turned toward Pricillia.

“Clear the lobby.”

Pricillia moved instantly. With a few subtle signals, the bank’s security staff quietly became active throughout the area.

Meanwhile, Marcus remained frozen. Until just moments ago, as a client whose company valuation exceeded eighty million dollars and whose personal liquidity surpassed ten million,He believed he held enough status to act however he wanted inside Aurelius Bank.

But now,After seeing the numbers displayed on Leon’s tablet,Reality had slammed directly into his face.

Reducing his social standing to almost nothing. Marcus even looked pale when Leon turned toward him.

“Mister Hale,” Leon said calmly, “this matter is no longer within public-area jurisdiction.”

Marcus swallowed hard. Especially because Gavin was now staring at him too.

Marcus’ mind desperately began trying to imagine what kind of background this young man truly possessed.

Someone capable of moving assets on that scale, Without even presenting identification.

At this point, Marcus no longer even trusted that Gavin Valerio was his real name. Instead, he started wondering what kind of terrifying family network stood behind him.

“Mister Valerio,” Leon spoke respectfully now.

“Please come with me.”

“I’ll personally escort you to one of our Senior Private Officers.”

“Alright...” Gavin answered calmly despite his pounding heartbeat. “Thank you.”

“Profit?” Gavin asked, half under his breath. “Yeah.” Caleb immediately leaned forward. “How much?” Honestly, Gavin himself didn’t really understand crypto that well. The basics weren’t hard to grasp, but he had never actually bought a single token before. He didn’t even have an exchange app. He had only heard other people talk about it. “You guys are still here?” Gavin asked when he realized Nina and the others were still standing behind him. “W-We...” Nina stammered slightly. “Just tell us already!” one of the girls behind Nina shouted. “Yeah, we wanna know too!” another added shamelessly. There was no way Gavin could escape now after starting all this. He glanced left and right. Every eye was still locked onto him. So after thinking for a few seconds, he finally answered casually. “One hundred.” Adam frowned. Dylan tilted his head slightly. Nina and almost everyone else in The Yard also seemed confused because the number was way too short. “One hundred what?” “One hu

You can think whatever you want,” he said. “But who exactly are you?”Nina slightly pulled her head back, but Gavin still wasn’t done.“And why is whatever I do any of your busine—”His words suddenly stopped when his eyes landed on one of the girls standing beside Nina.“Oh...” Gavin slowly nodded. “Alright. Now I get it.”At that moment, he finally realized where the ri

Gavin walked slowly along the campus pathway with his phone pressed against his ear. Several shopping bags were still hanging from his hands, swaying lightly with each step. The night air felt colder now.“Olivia...” Gavin frowned slightly. “What exactly did you mean earlier?”Several seconds of silence passed before Olivia’s voice finally came from the other side of the call.“Gavin, if your goal is simply to start a business, then everything is fairly straightforward. We choose an industry, find a good location, and start investing.” Her voice remained calm as usual. “But if what you want to build is your own network, then that becomes a different problem.”Gavin stayed silent as he continued walking, waiting for Olivia to continue.“We need information,” Olivia finally said. “We need to know which networks are beginning to weaken, who’s fighting who, who’s losing money, and who’s becoming desperate.
